cool setup! Have you considered mounting your balance checker to the roll cage and cutting a hole in the body? This would save you from having to plug in/ unplug each time you remove the body. also as a bonus, it would provide shade for you to see the readout much easier on sunny days. Or even easier, telemetry systems like Spektrum radios offer the truck lipo voltage right on the display of your transmitter. I like it for bashing because i don't like to completely drain my lipos so i can keep an eye on the voltage and bash until the exact voltage i want to store my lipos at.
Thx for the advice👍 i was thinking of mounting to the spoiler brace. Ive got the dumbo rc controller with non smart batteries so I use these lipo checkers to keep me informed on the batteries are doing. I think these are a must have for any rc basher👍👍🙂
@@inspiredrc Yeah really cool idea and so simple!. Note, you don't need Smart batteries in order to get telemetry on the Spektrum RC Controller. At least that's how it works on my Spektrum DX5C controller. (you do need the Smart Controller and ESC though. ) I've heard the dumboRC is a good value considering the price. For me personally I like the quality of life features that Spektrum offers. Time is precious and the less time I have to spend custom making my own quality of life features the better! Time = money! :D
@@Jrod_FPV yeah I got the dumbo rc controller because it has a gyro feature pre-installed. Which is good for novices like me. I do like the dx5 controller but doesn't the led display kill the batts quickly? Thx for the info. You learn something new everyday in this hobby.
@@inspiredrc I think gyros are fun for everyone! I have the DX5C and it has a nice clear LCD display but it's not color or backlit so it doesn't burn any energy on the screen receipt for when the display updates/changes. So really I think the radio transmission takes up 90% or more of the battery load. I've been thinking about getting the DX5PRO. really the only reason is because I do a lot of driving at night and the camp fire is not quite brightenough to clearly read the controller at all angles, and the DX5PRO has a backlight! I think the price is reasonable enough that I could sell the old one if I wanted to recoup most of the money I put in the 5pro.

I’m running the car on the dumbo-x6 can you help out I would be greatful thanks

HaHa!.......hard to run my two EXBs with dead rear diffs for 4 months...after less than 30 packs each, AND pre-first run tear down and shimming......$2200 dead on the shelf.....way to go Horizon Hobbies/Arrma😱
Really sorry to hear about your experience. Ive leant to not buy an new release from arrma as they almost always have problems. They really need to slow down and ensure quality. Hope you get your replacement diffs soon...🙁
There are ways of strengthening the v4 stamped chassis but I would just get an exb chassis from an rc breaker. There are lots available on ebay. You can also get a bash bar for the v4 chassis if you don't want to buy another chassis.
@@inspiredrcI just picked up the V5 yesterday, and was surprised to see the upgrade to the chassis. It was stamped and widen in that area. But I replaced it with the Mojave chassis anyway. It provides a lot more room at the servo and motor areas.

The motor fan is upside down. Usually air is blown into a heat sink as this causes turbulence in the fins and better cooling.

Thx for following👍 if the wheels turn full one way as soon as you turn the car on then it sounds like the steering servo has failed.
