Child of the fifties here! I remember having both - the Dreamsicle and Creamsicle. The first time that I had one was from the ice cream man🎉. I looked forward to that truck with its musical jingle and being part of the crowd of kids that surrounded that truck with sheer delight.😊
I remember them very well…yummy and so refreshing on a summer day. They also had dream circles made with vanilla ice cream and raspberry sherbet…just as luscious.
I was a child in the 80’s. I remember those popsicles and loved that combo. It’s like the Thrifty’s “50/50” iced cream or the Flintstone’s push-up pops that I’d want to buy from the ice cream truck lol.😂
Looks so good! How much sugar or sweetener did you use for the whipped cream? The recipe doesn’t state this for those not wanting to use frozen whipped topping. Thank you!
I used to love those popsicles as a kid, they were amazing. I was looking at the orange sherbet in the grocery store the other day and thought about buying it, but I didn't, now I have a reason to buy some to make this pie. I like cool whip but I really do not it really does not even compare to whip cream. Cool whip has a different taste from whip cream. Thank you for sharing this recipe, I am going to have to try this, sounds like a great summer hot day dessert.
Definitely I remember the dream orange ice cream. Pie looks fabulous Paula. I recently traveled Branson, Mo. ate in your restaurant and it was the best food ever. I couldn’t stay till June 6 th for your book signing but you were in my heart always. You’re a talented cook and love everything you make. I’m a fan supporter for life. God’s blessings Paula and to the family. ❤
Blue Bunny makes something similar to it. They are so good. The ice cream truck that used to come down my street in the summertime would sell them too. Those were so yummy and so were the drumstick ice cream cones.
Dreamcicles are the best! There’s an orange creme ice cream that I buy and with 3 grown men in the house, it doesn’t last long! Many thanks, Paula. I plan on making this asap! God bless and see ya tomorrow… 👍👍🍊🍊😘
They still make them Blue Ribbin Good Humer and Mayfield my family gets the Mayfield ones because My Nieces and Nephews liked them when they were little and my Nephews still like them because they don't have the hard shell, and the cream is threw out Mayfield ate the ones I recommend getting
Have you tried it this way yet? Without doing so, you can't know if it's better or worse this way. Not everyone will like every recipe variation she puts out.
Who else loved dreamsicles when you were a kid? They were so delicious! This pie just takes me back, y'all.
Oh yes;!;;!❤❤❤❤
Me! Me!
Your thinking of orange Push ups yum yum

Yeah, but Cool Whip has stabilizers. The fresh whipped cream turns runny in no time.
YES PAULA I LOVED DREAM CICLES!!!!

I remember my mother and grandmother making this in the 1970s. They could eat it, but now, I have diabetes, and I couldn't.
Wow?
This sounds amazing‼️
I’m not sure about the Dreamcicles but I remember PushUps. 😋
Yessssssssss
They are available in grocery stores today
Paula life is to short to save every crumb
…one egg yoke mixed into the crust mixture will guarantee that it does not fall apart when slicing…thank you…
Great tip, Robert.
I am 43 and I have had plenty of them!!
Miss dean please go to Walmart or Kroger and get the dream sickles

Publix still sells them.
And four pounds of butter.
I always got dreamsicles I'm allergic to chocolate.
Hello and how are you doing... I hope you're having a pleasant day... ?
I'm doing fine it finally stops raining here so you can actually get outside and enjoy the weather.
I’m 80, and I used to buy a Dreamsickle for a nickel.
I miss you on the food network
We called them Push-ups...
I liked pushups.
Your furbaby is waiting for a morsel.😅
I’m from New England and I had dreamsicles but I didn’t like them 🤷🏼♀️
I thought she was diabetic?
Here in Ohio we called them a push up
Nope, not the same. I’m from Ohio too and push ups don’t have the white vanilla in the middle like a dreamsicle.
@@marybethhuffman65Right! You go, girl! Lol
It was called a push-up when the ice cream man drove around on a bicycle and they cost a nickel a dreamsicle was not even heard of
They still sell them and make them.
This comment make you feel better. So rude for no reason.

STOP USING METAL UTENSILS IN GLASS BOWLS!! IT IS IRRITATING!!
Or what? You'll stop watching? Let the woman use the utensils she prefers to use. If the sound bugs you, then don't watch or mute it.
Get your own show and then you do that...sheesh!
