Cissy braiding Leon’s hair is my personal favorite scene from this show. Showing up for Leon to give him some comfort while he was down shows how strong & loving a woman shuould be. I know Leon did something horrifying. But people need to understand that no matter what someone you love does, no matter how foul or wrong they are, we as family/friends need to be there for them.
just binge watched this and how to say its an unbelievable show and wasn't expecting it to be so binge worthy after the few episodes but ended up finishing 6 seasons in less than 2 weeks. The only other show to make me do this was Breaking Bad. The character development is brilliant and Franklin the main character played his role to a T. The show won't get appreciated until some time later definitely deservers recognition.
Leon had been through so much at that point. He got shot up; His GF became a crackhead; He lost one of his best friends, since childhood; He accidentally killed a little girl, which caused him to have a price on his head so he doesn't know who he can trust. Plus he's wanted by the police, too. All of this and remember, he's still just a kid. And out of everybody, Cissy was the only one that cared enough to offer him comfort. His own mama knew that he was running for his life and told him that not only could he not stay in his own house, she had taken his emergency stash from the backyard so he couldn't even leave the city. He really needed that hug. After all of that, even I needed somebody to give Lee a hug.
