Another good day out again Gareth. I found a gold ring with a nice Sapphire last weekend. Had it dated to 1920's & the Sapphire polished up like new. Love your videos & presentation.
Hi mate, wow wow wow you are talking about y dream find and top bucket lister there. As I'm sure you know, I've been metal detecting near 10 years and never found a gold ring of any kind. Good going Gareth. Gee that is certainly ridge and furrow country. Great score as a permission. You got some interesting things come up. Hope you and the family are well. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍
Hi Andrew, yeah its an awesome little piece of land. I bagged permission on the fields on the other side of the lane, I did my Christmas Eve dig/video there late week and found a lovely little Queen Anne silver sixpence, dated 1711, proper little bucketlister. Hope you guys had a great Christmas and New Year, speak soon. G
Really enjoyed the trip across the fields with you. The piece at 4.50 looks like a mantle piece clock winder. The fat end for the mechanism, the thinner end to adjust the hands and any sub-dials. The Gorgeous George penny has had another coin/piece of metal up against it, hence the chemical reaction. One of the best channels out there ...atb

I consider myself a real metal detectorist, and what you guys see is exactly what I find. That will always be the case with my channel. Thanks again for watching, hope to see you on my next episode. Merry Christmas
Nice one mate enjoyed that I think the lead washer is a dress weight ATB Chris

Hey Philip, as always thanks again for checking out yet another of my metal detecting videos. Hope you and your family have a great Christmas
Enjoy being able to share your day.
Did you detect the spoils?
I chuckled when your video showed up directly under The Scottish Detectorist: you in t- shirt and John in jacket and wool hat.
Hi Karen, as always thanks so much for watching the stuff I upload. I did actually have a wander over those piles of earth, I found a modern coin laying on the surface and a couple bits of trash. Thanks for your support in 2024, hope to see you in 2025. Gareth
Stunning scenery as always. I miss hearing English church bells, they're just not as pretty sounding over here lol. Great mix of finds.
Hello how are you doing, I hope you had a good Christmas and New Year? Yessss you cannot beat the sound of an English church bell, it is an awesome sound, and sounds the same as it did hundreds of years ago. Gotta love history !!
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire Hiya! I did thanks, hope you and the family did too 🙂 Just something about it isn't there.
@tanithmessenger3581 yes it was lovely thank you, nice 9 days away from work too
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire Glad to hear it, even better 😀

Hi Mark, thanks so much for your awesome comments and for supporting my channel and what I do. Hope you had a great Christmas and I wish you a very Happy New Year, best of luck for 2025. Gareth
5:05 that looks to me a lot like one of those keys from a wind up clock / toy. Probably quite old maybe even Victorian! I’d keep it, it’s a nice one!
Ripper mate well done!
Hey buddy, thanks as always for tuning in and checking out my latest episode. Apologies on the slow reply, hope to see you on my next one. Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you Jillian and a happy new year. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel in 2024, see you in 2025 :)
Band of Hope is the Salvation Army, I think.
Please ignore that. My wife has just told me it was the Temperance Movement, set up in the 1840s in Leeds.
Hi Malcolm, I thank you for visiting my channel, watching this video and for offering your feedback on the Band of Hope thing. Definitely a first for me that was. Hope you and the wife had a very Merry Christmas. I wish you a Happy New Year and good fortunes for 2025. Gareth
12.06 looks like a pierced plate drawer handle escutcheon plate , C18th, my bro found something similar. I think
Hi there, thanks so much for the channel visit, and for taking time out your day to watch this video. Thanks also for the ID. Hope you had a great Christmas / New Year, and I hope to see you again on some of my 300 other metal detecting videos. Gareth
I think its a clock winding key Gareth
Hi Simon, thanks so much for the channel visit and for watching this video. Also, thanks for the ID of the mystery find. Hope to catch you on my next episode. G
Another great Duke vid .36 shillings coin weight was for a Portuguese gold coin known as a Joe or joey .A good sign mate .Don't think the band of hope would be for you as it was given to people who had taken the pledge not to drink alcohol ?.I hope you haven't as that sounds very nasty ,even terminal .Brill vid roll on next .
Ayup, thanks as always for tuning in and for the feedback. I definitely haven't pledged not to drink hehe and definitely had a few over Christmas
Hope you and the family had a nice Xmas mate and hopefully a happy new year.Am detecting my bedroom.carpet today as a bit polar for me .roll on next vid .
nice one as always mate , im on pasture for the first time on Tuesday with D2 what will help get deep that works for you may work for me thanks
Hey Tom, apologies for the slow reply. How did you get on detecting that pasture? It isn't for a lot of detectorists, just as arable or plough isn't for others (me). Thanks as always for the channel visit and for watching. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, fame and fortunes for 2025. Gareth

Hi Owen, thanks so much for your support through out 2024, I wish you a Merry Christmas and best of luck in 2025, see you there. G
@TheDukesOfDerbyshire thank you for the entertainment and education, long may it continue!
What do you use for filming camera or phone nice video
Hi Andrew thanks very much for visiting my channel and for watching this video. I film on a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone @ 4K 60FPS. I also film some bits with a DJI Mini 3 Pro drone. Thanks for your kind words, hope to see you again on some of my 300 other metal detecting videos
No idea what that 36 thing is, but if you found out please let me know
Hi mate, it was a coin weight for 36 Shillings
Hi mate , good upload and some decent finds to i know you are not a buckle person but i am and you found a little belter , and the imprint from the band of hope badge/brooch thingy was absolutely lovely especially the colour , anyway i would appreciate your thoughts on something i have just watched a video that had 4.2k views and only 2 comments ? how does that work ? at the moment you have 2.6k views on this one and 47 comments i just don't get it ? or am i missing something , thanks for wishing me well and you crack on pal .
Hi mate, what channel name and which video was it that you watched? I've never really looked into the correlation between views and comments. I think the total amount of comments on a video, also includes replies from yourself. I have seen some dodgey channels with some dodgey stats though
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire Hi mate , the channel is called Treasure Earth nice bloke to and the video is the latest Deus vs Garret 4.3 k views and only 2 comments ? i just don't get it ? .
@@thegallowsdetectorists666 I'd be asking how a channel with only 480,000 views has 38,000 subscribers.. I have 5 times the amount of views, but half as many subscribers.. With 38,000 subs I would expect him to have multiple videos with half a million views+ on each. Half my subs came from my most watched video
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire Hi mate , like i said i just don't understand it the maths just don't add up obviously he knows something we don't ( or does he 🤔)
Winter in calif
Winter in California? Thanks very much for the channel visit and for taking time out your day to watch this video. I hope to see you on my channel again on some of my 300 other metal detecting videos. Gareth
Think it's a clock winder
Hi there, thanks so much for the channel visit, for taking time out your day to watch this video and for offering your thoughts on the ID. I have a great collection of watch winders, they seems to be quite a common find
Band of Hope?! WW 1 badge? Have a little hope to go to semifinals in
Naruons legaue Denmark not unlucky
With portugal can almost 40 years old
Multi million CR7 still be hungry??
🤔😜🔝❤️
Hey buddy apologies for the slow reply, I've hundreds and hundreds of comments to work through at the moment. CR7 always hungry for more cash, that's the problem with rich people - they only ever want to be more richer! I noticed him and Mr Beast have teamed up to create some TH-cam stuff, which will have made then several million quid each. Thanks as always for tuning in. G
Hem weight
Hi again, thanks for the ID on this one. I hope you and your family had a great Christmas and have a Happy New Year. Gareth
