I love how dramatic mushroom names can be I have a shot that I’ve narrowed to two species. One is Hintapink, a nice edible mushroom coveted for its subtle flavors. The other is “The Sickener”.
Another great video Jamie really enjoyed this one. Just started on my journey with the same setup that you have and it’s not as easy as you make it look so all credit to you for that.
I do have problems with my knees but I'm also a mountain biker so I have knee pads it helps out quite a bit And as far as a bean bag goes you could always make one of them Just take two pairs of socks that are unmatched throw some rice in one of them about a cup and a half maybe two if you're lucky tie it off there's your bean bag Dual purpose You can also soak up some of the moisture that's inside your camera bag
Very nice video very well put together I see behind you at the 3:00 there happens to be a Bushcraft structure behind you I see someone has been practicing The simple structure looks like it was well done You might have to get over there in with your camera and double check a few things just be careful as you do
Well done on making the effort to find out the names of the various fungi species your photographing Jamie, even if you just narrow them down to there family if not the exact species makes it look a more "polished" video. Fungi I.d. I know is a bit of a minefield but stick at it. 👍
Only just realised I accidently put the same image up at 12:52 and 13:23 😂
I use a small gardening kneeling pad. It really helps reduce the pressure on the knees. It fits in my bag, or I have a strap on it.

If you don’t like to use the tripod you can check out the platypod base. It’s ideal for these kind of scenarios.

Another great video. Great pictures and great info.
Much appreciated!
Great video again! I tried this the last years, but I do not have the patience for it 🤣
Outstanding episode!

Awesome video, great shots
Thank you!
Thks! Enjoyed.
Hi, try a remote for the camera, and, some foam knee pads for you. Works well for macro.
😄Фотографии📸 классные!!! 🍄💯👍

Thank you! It's so hard to identify fungi when a lot of them look so similar. But I'm slowly starting to learn.
Hi Jamie.. another very informative video, thanks.
Could you please let me know the name/model of the mini tripod you use.
Many thanks
Much appreciated! The mini tripod I use is linked in the description :)
First one looks more like coral fungus than jelly...
I can't set aperture below 5.0 even I'm using F3.5 macro lens and OM-1? Am I missing something?
If you set your lens to S MACRO, you will be limited to F/5. Change the switch on the lens to either 0.25-0.5m or 0.25m - ∞ to use F/3.5
@@JamieSpensley thanks, never thought of that. I only used the lens in S MACRO for all my insect/mushroom photos 😅
Hi, the L bracket you have linked is for the camera you previously had, does it work on the om1?
Yes it does
