Blew a coolant line on a 379 at the top of the mountain. That love's saved me that night. Couple mechanics stayed over to get me going again.
Thanks! Cool trip, hope everything works outvwith the Freightliner!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Appreciate you! Happy Thanksgiving 🙏🏽😎
One more truck and you can have Father and sons truckin!!
DTU detachable tow unit….Zack lift makes several size……always use two straps on your towed vehicles steering wheel (one for each direction) and the seat belt for double redundancy….I personally prefer a chain for each axle to hold weight of axle off of shocks/air bags …I use a wooden block between dtu and rear frame of towed vehicle so the chain that attaches towed vehicle to dtu has no slack in the chain eliminating that surge feeling on starting/stopping
That truck is really clean outside and inside nice find wish you the best with it
Appreciate you!🙏🏽
COE, I don't miss those days. The bunk on the Freightshaker has a rise in it. I lived in a few cabovers and I wouldn't go back. Rough riding noisy trucks.
I hated them, and as bad as they were to drive, they were even worse to work on. I have no idea why all these kids are so enthralled with them
@@joecummings1260 your right. I spent many years in them and I would not want anything to do with them. I would have loved to have the trucks they have today. Less back and neck problems, arthritis everywhere. It won't take long for the novelty to wear off.
@@leehickmott9783 And if you are working local, lots of stops, dropping and hooking trailers all that climbing up and down wears on you. Not to mention the fall risk. I was around for them, I'm almost 65. Back then nobody wanted to drive a cabover
There's a reason they don't make them anymore or very limited.. no thanks
My 1sttruck i even bought waa. M.s. carriers freightliner with a 11.1 dirty Detroit and me and that truck when everwhere my other trucks didn't go to and great turning radis too boot
The animals that you saw on your right as you drove sown that little side road that comes out by the QT are not from a petting zoo, they belong to a theatre in the building where the animals are they are part of the show at the theatre. Carowinds is owned by Cedar Fair now out of Ohio.
Glad to see my old girl went to a good home. If you need any info on it let me know.
Appreciate you! 🙏🏽
I think you are supposed to have the lift bar tight against the frame so it wouldn't sway back-and-forth would be much safer that way.
Hi Justin & Tdubs, Very nice ending with the boys looking straight at the camera. Awesome picture moment :) Love from Trondheim, Norway
That's space in between the wrecker and the cabover is where the back and forth is coming from their shouldn't be any space in-between that
Yep he doesn’t have it tight to the frame of the truck
Since Freightliner history is unknown do oil analysis from a lab like horizon.
Doing so i my Freightliner cascadia has saved me from unexpected catastrophic failures..transmission ,head and axels.
In the long run , you can see the change in trends and can get it repaired or replaced before your customer replaces you! Saved so many tows and customers loyalty.
Since previous owner had money issues ,i would pull all wheel bearings check spindles. Replace shoes seals and drums. Look closely at frame for stress cracks at hauck bolts or anything secured to the frame,ie steering box, cross members etc. check s cam s,tubes and brake canisters. U bolts for stress bends cracks. Look at engine and transmission mounts. Check 5th wheel for spring and integrity of the play and slide mount.
Looks like a great canvas to start with. Lean and light.more loads possible because its light. And better fuel economy beacuse of the Detroit 60 series. ( Axel ratio matters also /. Operation specific.)
Looks like a great truck. It will give you many millions of miles of service. Just look and feel and measure stuff to get a base line.
I was in a few late 1990s cabovers, the flb got the best fuel economy on a fleet some 60 series some cat. same transmission and axel ratios.
Detroits were solid 7 mpg pulling enclosed cutrain side auto hauler truck box and trailer. I could get in and out of urban locations so much quicker with a cab over...lighter so less messing around with loading once i new its perameters.
Drove argosy four years loved it. 60 series 10 speed foget the gears...great truck light and nimble...best income options.
Great advice thank you 😎🙏🏽
U can’t compare a cascadia to this truck
I started with the cascadia to show benefits of oil analysis on an emission era nightmare.
Ended with my experience of Freightliner flb and argosy cabovers , non emission vs emission.
Heavier vs light and shorter wheel base = more options in the owner operator income potential areas.
I did 3 tow jobs with a tote, wish i was there to help you chain it up!
If it were me I would switch cabs on the cabovers. I like the looks of the Kenworth Cabover more that the Freight Shaker.
Or just swap engines
This video was coming out in italian yesterday. Great video
Should put the chain in the hook not just the end of hook in hole of chain
Not how you use a tow bar.......I own a tow company in Mooresville, you are more than welcome to stop by so I can show you.
Appreciate it 😎🙏🏽
That’s ole FILL GOOD in Atlanta on the CB! I mess with him every week! 😂
😂😂😂
@ next time you go though there, let him know you fill good! 😂
The correct answer when you asked the kids what does the new cab over need, it was an easy question and the right answer would be “a Kenworth badge”. 😂
😂
The restaurant you mentioned on Lake Norman is the North Harbor Club. Used to take my wife there when we lived in Mooresville, very nice!
I can’t wait to see this thing finished good old freightshaker coe she’s a beauty me personally I’d rather have the k100 but i understand the freightliner is in better shape
Hey Justin my man if you're still feeling like crap try taking some cold fx it's has helped the wife and I out when we have been under the weather the only thing with cold fx is you have got to start taking the stuff as soon as you start feeling under the weather. So with that being said the sooner you take the stuff the sooner it will probably start working. Good luck my man and can't wait to see that cab over pulling a load hopefully sooner than later. Peace out my man......
That interior does look pretty decent. A good shampoo and steam clean might bring a bit of colour back to it. To be fair, I'd probably do a thorough clean anyway, and maybe even throw an overnight bug bomb in there, just to be sure. Looking forward to seeing how you progress with it.
Heck yea brother. Love the cabover. Safe travels. Can’t wait to see it out on the road. Hopefully I can catch it in person.
Good Deal 😊
Can't wait to see the freightliner rolling down the road Justin. All the best from uk
Doesn't it make you wonder how many people scared their passenger while they were behind you😂😂
That’s what TDubs said 😂
What is even worse is when you are team driver and you wake up because it is almost your shift and open the curtians to see that nothing like getting a quick startle in before you start your shift

Great job as usual Justin can’t wait to see you finding out what’s going on with the new one!! Have a fun start to the week and in case we don’t see you have a Happy Thanksgiving 🦃!!!
Thank you Henry 🙏🏽😎
We skied every Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and January 1st on lake Lanier. Froze our fannis off.. It was SO much fun..
That's awesome! Sounds like a fun tradition. 🙏🏽
I'm confused. Where's the scam? Was it because the truck wouldn't start? What tow bill? For the crane?
The guy that sold the cabover to Justin never paid the tow bill at the tow lot, Justin had to pay
Appreciate this Pinky
As a bonus, he did leave you a huge pile of slightly used underwear and a slightly used pee jug.
@@pinkymccauley7480 Ahhh, ok. Thanks.
Looks like a Good Cabover. You and T-dubs have the Best Boys!! Have a Good week and Happy Thanksgiving.
Appreciate you 🙏🏽
Almost trucks. They look good as a Fleet.Look real good
Good luck with the cabover. Long may she run.
Justin, the new truck is cool 😎. Taz deserves a girft card from Taco Bell 😂. That tow thingy is definitely interesting 🤔 and efficient. Simplifies the concept of towing. Can't wait for the new vlogs with the new truck 👍. Take care and God bless y'all 🙏✨.
Appreciate you 🙏🏽 Graci ♥️🏆🙏🏽
The C.O.E SHAKER is ok,,but the KING K100 K-DUBB is DEFINITELY AWESOME!!!!!! Cnt wait 2 see the 3 TRKS back in ACTION!!!! Nice Lil Fleet!!!!! Now,, need 1 more WAGON so all 3 havs their own. Wagon 2 pull.
You know us snow Mexicans ski on snow and ice this time of year.
If we could find liquid water we would be water skiing too.
I’ve got a tow bar like that in Duncan if you need one in the future.
Appreciate it 😎🙏🏽
We used to call them "the boss hitch" in the army 1986.
Pretty sure the sway you were feeling was because you didnt hook the tow bar flat with the frame of the freightshaker, i dont think the gap you had in between there was correct
The gap was actually not safe. There shouldn't be any space.
Please watch the pro tote how to video, I’ve used it a dozen times that is not how you hook it up! That’s going to have lots of sway
Appreciate you! 😎🙏🏽
@5:00 My goto fav at the ole Bell is Beefy 5-Layer and (*2) Cheesy Bean & Rice Burritos. If you read this and have your own fav's let me know! Right now the ole Bell is bringing back food from the 60's through the 00's, all that said I've been subbing out the Cheesy burritos for the Cheese & Bean Green Sauce burritos. That green sauce is FIRE! so good I crush them so fast.
Yum
77 will backup north and south in a heart beat. I don't like 77 from Statesville all the way to SC. Our office will have a new building off 485 in a year. I still drive all over Charlotte and it sucks.
Yeah horrible
Good looking freightliner cab over……great video. Get to feeling better. And as far as that extra seat, i do not think you’re going to see it. Having to get the tow bill paid before releasing the truck, and now he’s locked out of his storage. You’re not going to see that seat…
Yeah you’re probably right. 😑
That is going to be a nice truck when it is finished. Good recovery video.
Appreciate you! Reno email your friends name and story again I didn’t want to say it wrong
@@JustTruckin Will Do Thank you.
Hey Justin that truck actually originally came from right down the street from where I live in Richmond Virginia it is a pretty big moving company my good buddy was actually there shipping coordinator for a long time it looks in pretty good condition might as well get them both polished up and get big girl polished up too if you ceramic coat the aluminum it last a whole lot longer keep rolling easy and say hey to Miss TDubs and those boys 😊
That is awesome. I appreciate that.😎🙏🏽
Never been a fan of a cabover crawling over the doghouse and you are the first one to the crash lol
Congratulations on the new cabover
Thank you
You welcome
Sweet condo freightliner cabover!
Hello 👋 can’t wait to see it on the road 🙏👍
Michael 🙏🏽😎🏆
Please make a series of rebuilding the cabover motor like u did on the w9 that was cool to see
Of course I will
Congrats on the new truck brother m.s carrier used to have them trucks back in the day when trucking was fun 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Appreciate you! 🙏🏽
Man Justin that hook up scared the crap out of me. I've used big bens for over 20 years to tow out trucks and others. That tube should have been down behind the frame of the truck being towed. Not hanging above. That way it doesn't push and massively reduces the sway from it hanging on the chains. I also always use a second chain to hang the front drive. Than chain the rear axle to the big bed bar press against the frame rails. You want it so when you lift it it pushes hard and tight to the frame and ben
Appreciate it Stephen 😎🙏🏽
Great video and good luck with the new truck.
Tell him taco bell is garbage go to.a real 1
Nice nice new addition!!!! Can’t wait to see it working!!!!!!
Justin We hope you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving ! All the best from a fan in the Permian Basin
Appreciate it! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
@@JustTruckin Thanks
Very kool Freightliner.
Exit 1 loves is Lambsburg/Cana Virginia. That where I call home lol 😆

JT that cab over is hella sweet 🫡love it ,also why are you sounding like you’ve been on the moonshine and cigars all night
I know right groggy 🥴
Any chance you trade the block for a brand new Cat block?
Stating cost effective 🙏🏽
@ Yeah It’s probably not quite the smartest move First off, the insurance company might gasp Probably not a chance in %#|| you could ever get the return on sales Really I just figured that I’d float the idea Not exactly sure everyone knew you could (least somewhat recently) get such a block IF you had an older similar block… SO for you loving you some cabover tho I love me some conventional (seems classic to me) Good Luck Sir!
You could put the new big girl to work just wondered. I knew you won’t purchase a new truck. Just don’t know when. Looks nice. Hope you can find a bumper for those are obsolete now.😂❤
Congratulations on the truck I was wondering were you paying to park those trucks there in that lot if not that's pretty bold to park 3 semi on that property somebody got own it
Have an agreement with the owner
YOU GOT THIS 👍
Trucker bomb, truckers lemonade, that is some disgusting s*** in that bottle
I’m glad you got it home safely. Can’t wait to see what comes of that truck.
Congratulations Justin now u have 3 rigs

Two more and he'll meet the five truck minimum for that one shipper. 😊
Ill say 1 thing she is nicer inside them mine was .illl love to have her and does she have a jake brake on her
Not sure on Jake’s 🧐🤔

Hey brother I always enjoy your videos I don’t know if you have time to read comments, but I’ve asked you a few times about your crucifix hood ornament I can’t find one but would like to have one please let me know if you can thank you
Appreciate the comment. I was lucky enough to have it specially made just for me from a friend traveling with the bells.
@ love it thank you
next time put break away chains on its probably a state law and dont use the seatbelt to secure the steering wheel
That's what we use to haul semi's back. Lucky for us we have a driver who's hauling a flatbed trailer. And he's going to rescue a driver who's stranded 3 hour's away from his location. Jesse told him thanks for doing that. Driver texted back and said no problem TJ. The semi that's broke down it's not our's it's a semi that we are testing out for the Volvo Dealership here. It's a manually transmission that u can shift up and down and it's messed up bad. Driver was like that's it I had enough. It can move on it's own power. Cause the driver who's getting him doesn't have a winch on the back of his semi. They will be back later tonight and they will all be off for a week for Thanksgiving. Our Hotshot Driver's there are almost back home they are about a hours away and they will let Jesse know and he will meet them there to let them in since they gate is closed and locked and they will get there paycheck and then Jesse will stay there and wait for the other driver's. Then they will take the Volvo back to the dealership. We already had thanksgiving meal at church after the morning service and then I came back ajd made stuff that's easy. And then Jesse and the kids arrived and ate. And one lady who's like family to me and Jesse made his favorite pies banana cream pie and chocolate pie with cool whip and cheery cheese cake. Jesse at a slice of each. And trust me I am still stuffed. I asked Jesse if he ate anything and he said hell no he's stuffed. Hey Katie u look good sitting in the KW u should get your CDL. Nana drives our's and she loves it. And yes Karen's my 70 year old grandma has her cdl. And she even loves to weld. And she will flat out say doing craft stuff ain't for her. And she even loves to go riding with us on our motorcycles. Have a good week and a good thanksgiving if u don't post before thanksgiving. We will have thanksgiving at Jesse's godmother's house and it will be us and Nana and all the kids even our sweet elderly neighbors.
Hope to see it on the road soon
Did you buy his MC numbers too ?
Took the boys to twin peaks.
YAY!! The new beast has come home!!! Get her going!!!
It's amazing to me how that one chain is holding that truck Up, Should there be also a safety chain,
Happy Thanksgiving....did you get the extra seat ...
If you need any help with motor info let me know, i will say this, if it needs rebuilt. I wouldn't rebuild it. Id find a 98 or newer 12.7 and change it over. A 12.7 premium is what you would want. Has piston oiler nozzles and floating wrist pins. Where that motor wont have the nozzles and has bolt on connecting rods. The rod bolts to the piston. Also a tlc liner in the 98+ has coolant passage arli d the upper lip of the liners. Rebuilding mine right now. I went with 15:1 pistons with my cam injectors and tune i should be around 700 whp. 😊
That’s gonna RIP 😎🙏🏽
That looked very dangerous to me. That truck could have started swaying severely with the connection you had to it. There should have been positive connection between the towed truck and the towing aperatus. Usually the back of the truck and the rear of the towing device are butt to butt and held by the chains and the weight of the truck. Trying to chain the axels and the truck with one chain is insane.
😎🙏🏽
Good Work!
