Still waiting for space marine Steve vs chaos marine Steve with a mustache narrated by Steve. If we can work in Storm Trooper Steve somehow, I will take it!
Amazing game and I loved the fog of war deployment. That could honestly be a really cool mechanic for tag team games where no one knows how their teammate deployed before turn 1 but they start playing on turn 3 exactly like reinforcements (each player gets 1k and their own army rules; shared CP and all that.)
It's games like this. that remind me there's so many ways to play this game, and gets me even more excited to start playing. I wasn't able to finish my armies before I left for deployment, but I'll have plenty of time once I get back to finish them and get playing!
May i as you what is theirs? & Have you ever purchased from them? They have a alternate grotesque kit that I really really want, but I have been burned every time I've used a third party.
OK so nevermind I was thinking of Artel W Unless they are two sides of the same coin?? If not somebody is trying to rip the other. The logos font style everything is identical there's literally the difference Of 2 letters between them not just the name I mean that's soundly differences in the company lol One paints the other makes models And if they're not the same company I now trust neither
Nick was onto something when he joked about going all on one side. If he fully committed to the leg side he would have a lot of focus fire and better sight lines
Usually I find this style of editing annoying for TV shows like Storage wars; where we can see what happens and then there's a micro interview. However... As someone who is JUST looking into buying their first army after fawning over the lore for a couple of years, I find it extremely helpful. Learning how the game is actually played. the reasoning behind different attacks and tactics. Excellent series! ( I found this video looking up how the Death Guard are played, This comment is made about 12 minutes in and they look BADASS)
I'm reading Dark Imperium at the moment, so it's totally awesome to see Death Guard vs Ultramar Auxilia! Also Nick you need to make that Venquisher a Tank Ace so you can reroll to hit!
You forgot about the fact that pretty much every army is bad against death guard. I barely managed to pull out a draw once and mortarion is a death sentence 💀.
I've done this for years, also cut the table into 16 squares a,b c,d 1-4, and made people pull slips of paper out of a hat and boom that's where their first unit goes. Makes game play crazy nasty. Call it infestation.
Two perfectly played armies separated by dice rolls alone. It seemed one-sided but you really cannot ask for more than that. Great job to everyone at POTT!
You guys are my absolute favorite 40k channel, and yes I know dice tell stories, etc etc. That being said, when only one army makes all their 5+ rolls, and the other doesn't....well its kinda boring to watch. Curb stomps are meh imo. Still love you tho!
Tyco and his death guard are great personalities but i would never want to play him in a dark alley. Those nugle blessed marines eat damage like a buffett
Oh man, I'm so conflicted! (Haven't watched yet). I'm an Imperial guard player so I want Guard Nick to win but I absolutely love watching Tycho and his death guard and want him to win too! GAH!
Nick should have swapped the Hell Hounds for some more Infantry. Each Hell Hound is worth just under 2 Cadian squads, so if he dropped some sponsons or other bits here or there he could have doubled his infantry. As cool as they are, Hell Hounds kinda suck, and the Infantry would have put a lot more work in than they did.
@@Dracobyte 110 points vs 65 point Cadian squads. If he dropped the Bullgryn and instead gave the Command Squad an Ogyrn Bodyguard, as well as dropping both Hell Hounds he could fit in 4 more Cadian squads. Thats 4 more Plasma guns, 4 more melta guns, 4 more Drum fed Autoguns, and 28 more lasguns. Overall, less cool, but way more efficient. More bodies, more units, significantly more shots. Since Nick likes First Rank Fire Second Rank Fire over the better Take Aim thats 84 more shots per turn, including enough Auto-Wounds alone to almost kill the Blightlords in 1 turn just from the Lasguns. With how his dice went this game I doubt that would happen, but still, better than the hell hounds for sure.
As a guard player that's painful to watch. Dorn is alright feel the oppressor cannon is the best weapon to use. But rather have 2 russes than 1 fully kitted out dorn (i know its not double the cost but you know what I mean). A leman russ with the gatekeeper relic I think does better than a dorn with twin battlecannon. It's a bit bizarre it's not 2d6 plus 3, that would make it perhaps worth it. Anyway Tycho once again rolling like a beast
I wonder what happend to Rogal Dorn . Is the Rogal Dorn not upgrade to the teeth or something. I recall the tank has more firepower or is Nick miss em all?
Yeah I wondered the same thing. Seems like he's only ever shooting its twin battle cannon but even un-upgraded the Rogal Dorn typically runs: -Opressor Cannon (Heavy D6 + 3, Str 10, AP -3, Damage 4) Turret Weapon -Co-axial Autocannon (Heavy 2, Str 6, AP -1, Damage 2) Turret Weapon -Pulveriser Cannon (Heavy D6, Str 8, AP -2, Damage 3) On top of that it can also be equipped with 2 additional meltaguns and either 2 multi-meltas or 2 heavy bolters. A common choice is the 2 multi-melta's for 30 points which gives: -2x Multi-melta (Heavy 4, Str 8, AP -4, Damage D6 /+2)
@@christophervennix9861 I am guessing on 1st turn his hull mounted gun was out of range.. As for 2nd turn since i am guessing since its stuck close combat it cant use blast weapon ? Should had drive up and alpha strike i supose..

Darn, now i have the idea to print up some transparent resin guard as a ghost army.

Gotta love Tycho’s consistency. Dude has been more or less playing the same list DG for like 3 years.
It wouldn't be Nurgle if it changed easily. That's Tzeentch's job.
It’ll be interesting to see how the list adjusts for 10th.
You know what you love.
Maybe it's just all they have?
Yes i do lean on my drones somthin fierce. Hoping for big things from 10th!
This blind deployment is super fun looking.
I tried it once to an apocalypse game.. It was the best! Not suitable for normal games, but its really fun and different :)
It was fun!
Adding a narrative story to each battle is extremely nice thing to see. Great game as always!
a warlord titan has fallen in lego city! HEY! build the rogal dorn battle tank and take the fight to the enemies of man! the emperor protects
This cracked me up 😅
"He does exactly Dorn things, and that's nothing." - S Tier comment, right here. Always happy to see Dorn get his dues.
Tycho rolled like an absolute MONSTER this entire game!! It was so crazy to watch. 😮
Nurgle's resilience
I did! Sorry Nick!
holy shit Tycho's death guard is consistent list wise and also win wise, like his squad is that old reliable powerhouse
Folks do have a time with a speedy DG list eh?
I’m so glad your channel exists, I’m a competitive player but you guys have the best produced warhammer content on the internet
Another amazing death guard battle report, I love Tycho and his death guard!
😁
“You gotta stop doing that to me!” My favorite quote from this game considering nick said it 7485838373 times 😂😂
It is the catch phrase of the show, alongside "Don't split your fire!".
Tycho always rolls amazing i can’t think of a single video i’ve seen that he doesn’t roll great the dice are always in his favor lol
Beloved of Chaos! I do get lucky on the 40k front but not so much in other games. The dice do tell their stories!
The Downed Titan style map reminds me of the last mission in Dawn of War Winter Assault!
same I loved that mission!
Ahh, good old memories. Those 2 games deserve a remake or a remaster.
wow these minis are painted so beautifully. Usually try not to stan too much but def big ups to Art-W. looking forward to new pieces.

It always awesome to watch Nick vs. Tycho. I love the energy of both players.
The imperial knights in the House Griffith Scheme 6:47 are mine. The guys did an amazing job.

Another amazingly thematic and crazy game. Keep this up lads!
I think this game is a perfect showcase of how important movement is in 40k
As a guard player, your dice rolls made me cry nick 😢
I love seeing some old warhammer
Tycho and Nick are both fantastic players and a joy to watch on their own. Put them against each other and you got a Battle report for the ages
I loved this episode, another great one from the team.
Love Tycho and Nick :) Hilarious guys ! Such fun to watch even though I don't play .
Also love your work guys! These 40min matches are my favourites! ❤
I freaking love Death Guard. There are worries about their performance come 10th, but I don’t care, they are my favorite.
Seconded! I think they will be fine
Absolutely love the reinforcement and deployment rules! Would be awesome to see those in more games!
I really appreciate the "narrative" bits while playing, I'll take all of the immersion that I can get haha!
