TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI(通称グル女)による3作目のEPアルバムが
3/25にデジタルリリース。
既にリリース済のシングルRISE UP,FOXY,LOVE SALTに新録音の
Small Hours,Liquid Sunshineの２曲を加えた５曲EPとなっている。
グル女音楽監督柴田俊孝氏作曲曲、ベース星野李奈作曲曲、ドラムMiMi作詞作曲曲、初代ベーシスト芹田珠奈アルトサックス参加曲、サポートミュージシャンであるテナーサックス今井晴萌、ギターのカワコウをフューチャーした曲とバラエティあふれるオリジナル曲で構成されている。

FOXYは魅力的でセクシーな女という意味のスラング、グル女が 東京を飛び出して世界でも存在感を示せる様になれ‼︎ という気持ちを込めて作った楽曲。

グル女ドラマーの MiMi が自らの体験をもとに作詞作曲した原曲を、実力派若手サウンドクリエイター宮野弦士がアレンジしたグル女初の日本語によるシティポップ曲。

sound creator Gento Miyano, based on the original song written and
composed by MiMi based on her own experience.

They are all the best in their own way and area of expertise, not just in a technical sense, but in the virtuosity and musicality of their playing. Yes, I noticed that Harumo is fantastic, but Emi is amazing, the sweet Rina adds depth and a rhythm that hypnotises you and Mimi is such a natural drummer with her immaculate timing.

Not to single anyone out, obviously everyone in the band is very good, but Mimi is the complete package in every way. Technique, groove, feel, artistic vision, laid back attitude, leadership. She has got to become one of the greatest drummers in the history of funk/groove/jazz music.
