Hello, I'm Rie, a Japanese female guitarist. Currently, we are holding concerts mainly in Tokyo.
She has composed all the songs herself and has released 15 CD albums to date.
If she gets the chance, she would be happy if she could listen to other songs as well.

I was 16 years old in 1977, and waiting for Led Zeppelin to take the stage some time later. In the meantime there was music pumping from the stacks. I didn't know or care for jazz fusion...until a particular song came on and immediately caught my attention. It was one of those moments in life when a whole new vista opens. I asked a friend what the song was. He told me it was Blue Wind by Jeff Beck. When I got home I bought the Blow By Blow album and from that point on I was a jazz man. This band did that great song justice, and with their very own take on it. Well done.

I grew up on Jeff Beck and the whole fusion movement. This is such a wonderful tribute to that era, and you have made it your own. What amazing musicians you all are! Thank you for sharing your genius with all of us!

I started playing drums over forty years ago. I wish I was as good as Senri, but I'm not even close. She's amazing . . . the real deal.

There seems to be a lot of cross pollinating of these girl groups and they are all excellent. If it's not Juno on bass, it's Rina and occasionally both of them. Rie and Kanade are in loads of groups. The Japanese musicians are certainly playing the kind of music that I want to hear, not forgetting of course my favourite jazz pianist Riyoko Takagi. They all seem to be world class. Oh, great drum solo from Senri, it's back to the sixties. Love Bites are another fantastic female group. Good luck to them all.
I was convinced that Rina would be the bassist for Lovebites after Miho, since Miyako and Rina know each other.

川口千里さんの今までの演奏の中で一番好き、デビュー時より脱力が効いてサウンドとタッチが綺麗になって、ダイナミクスも上手く利用してメリハリのある、更に音楽的な演奏に進化している。
Senri and Kanade jamming on a Beck tune. I think Jan played drums on the album track, as if keyboards weren't enough.
That Kawaguchi's solo was excellent. Great groove throughout, and almost all with a single bass drum, great rolls and ghosts on snare... and the drum sounds, especially the toms, were top notch. Very Nice!
And you were correct - Jan Hammer composed Blue Wind, and played keyboards & drums on it.
Yes, he did and he is a hell of a drummer like on the keys. Hear Star Cycle! First I could not believe that!

奏ちゃんと千里ちゃんは10年以上前からツインドラムで共演してるので若いのに長い付き合いで姉妹のような感じなのかな？
奏ちゃんはMUSUSで千里ちゃんはジャズアベでベースの芹田珠奈ちゃんとバンド仲間。
で今回のベースの星野李奈さんと珠奈ちゃんはグル女でツインベース。この4人でツインドラムとツインベースも見てみたい。
Kanade and Chisato have been playing together in a twin drum group for over 10 years, so even though they are young, they have known each other for a long time, so maybe they are like sisters?
Kanade is in MUSUS, and Chisato is in TJA and is band mate with bassist Juna Serita.
So this time, Rina Hoshino and Juna Serita are Tokyo groove joshi and have a twin base. I'd like to see twin drums and twin bass with these four.
Bravo! Unbelievable musicianship!

The guitar player, Suzaku, puts on these "instrumental summits." Just a lot of jamming with the best fusion players in Japan. It's just a way for musicians who perform for the fun of it to keep it fun, by mixing things up, changing things and adapting the composition to it. It's especially what Rie aka Suzaku does. You might find her with two drummers, other guitarist, two bass players, adding sax players, string instruments, whatever.....
