You should make the stream a little more water so the trout can naturally run up to the higher streams and ponds to spawn

Water table in Florida around 5ft. At 15ft you'll create a spring, keeping the water cool would be your biggest problem.
What do the trout eat???
Bugs in the water and flies on the top.
Aerators will kill trout in most areas where trout should thrive because they mix the cool water on the bottom with the hot water on top. This one likely tolerated it because it is likely in a location with quite cool summers.
What State? Why won't the trout breed and repopulate?

What a waste of the trout that went belly up! Take some of the bigger fish for the table and stock a few smaller ones to grow on for the years to come! Enjoy them growing until you have a dinner party that needs a big trout!

He's got money but no fish sense. You can't imbed hooks int "pet" fish jaws and throats and expect them to go on like nothing happened. The trauma alone can kill older fish. Add,infections,broken jaw cartilage or even bones..yikes. Very bad.
I was born and raised on a ranch with multiple stocked ponds, had a trout pond right outside the door, caught and released thousands over the many years, virtually none died from the "trauma". FYI I have a biology degree now, if catch and release did not work why do you think government biologists would encourage it? Good grief. Your an maroon as Bugs used to say.
@@deanfirnatine7814 You better hit the books Dean..since catch and release has a terrible record. Large fish can't handle a hook in their throats then thrashed by rocks and branches while being reeled in. Scientists who still rely on hook caught fish for tracking are in the dark ages.
Those Trout didnt "age out" in 5 or size years. That was bs. They died from something that wasnt old age. Funny if so many died at the same time and all you came up with was "old age"?. stay away from my fish.
Stan TheObserver what books are you reading? I’m an Environmental Science Major with focus on Marine biology. Seems like a very safe practice exhibited in this video. Execution seems spot on and natural replication seems as good as it can get within a residential community. As far as catch and release, I don’t see the issue. As long as you wet your hands before you pick a fish up and remove barbs while avoiding throat hooking, I see minimal harm.
