A few Notes to make extra Information:
1. Fall Damage is Proportional Damage, so the more HP an enemy has the Harder it hits, This is particularly useful in Abyss or in Co-op where Enemies have Vastly Increased HP... I've Seen Fall Damage Do over 60K per drop in the Liyue Talent Domain in Co-op Against the Fatui Pyro Agents, Similar damage is possible in the abyss if Smaller Liftable enemies ever show up in Floor 12 again (though they haven't been there in the longest time as the place is now infested with Bosses)
2. The Sunfire Effect Gets VERY Mean in Co-op, Particularly against Weekly Bosses, as the pyro swirls Proc off Each Member of your Team inside both Bursts' Fields, Meaning you get More or less 4 Swirls per second if everyone in your Team Sticks together (They usually do against Bosses since there's only one target)
3. C2 Allows Jean to be used as a Mean offensive Support in Superconduct Physical teams. Both Rosaria and Eula Get GREAT benefits from increased Attack speed. Rosaria has the Fastest Innate Attack speed of all characters to begin with and already buffs her own attack speed with her Skill, So she gets to hit several times per second with Jean's Burst Buff (There's a Certain Satisfaction in seeing 10K Physical on screen twice at the same time and know 2 more are coming in less than a second). And Eula's Burst Stacks Build based off how many attacks you can do between pressing the button and when the sword actually drops, Meaning More attack speed means a Bigger BOOM at the end of the burst, on top of the actual DPS Increase from just faster normal attacks.
4. The game's Information does not tell you this, But Jean's Charge attack actually applies a Special Unique Debuff to enemies she hits with it. the Debuff Reduces the Effective Weight of the Target, allowing you to Launch them Higher with her Charged Skill, and Holding them in the air a Bit longer, and since they fall from higher, they take more Proportional damage. This Debuff Can be used to occasionally Lift Superheavy Opponents like Lawachurls and cause THEM Fall damage. (This gets Real funny if you can get in a co-op team with Ningguang or Yae Miko to juggle Airborne enemies with their Multi Hit fast attacks that seek them out in the air, Just try to be Careful not to hit them while they're Near the ground, Fall damage is based off Distance fallen since the last time they were Launched up!)
5. Her C1 actually Slightly Increases the distance she'll launch things when you hold her skill, so that's a Neat bonus that can increase her damage output if you exploit fall damage, Or Can help Gather enemies together more efficiently.

Fall damage isn't really based on distance but more so velocity. This is why doing a charged attack + E combo can get as much fall damage as the full length fall after the E. This is due to the E pulling down the enemy at a high velocity slamming them to the ground as if they fell from a high altitude. Hitting the enemy mid air can cause the falling velocity to reset and thus relate to lower fall damage.

does the C1 of jean increase gale blade by 40% even though you are not pulling enemy? meaning you just fast click and spam it?
Sad that physical Jean is no longer part of best builds it carried me since day 1 of this game. Though it's really good to see Jean is still rocking it to this day. Versatile and dependable. That's the acting grand master for you.
Thanks god I'm not the only one. I did use a lot physical Jean and did my first full abys runs thanks to her. I still think that, if you have the right gear is a nice option but can't compete with actual high dps chars. Anyhow I still think was worth mentioning because has a nice dmg and is so easy to play as she heals while doing tons of dmg.
I think I'm gonna play her once more, feeling nostalgic :P

I use my jean on xiao/john lee/jean/albedo team
But my jean are physical build with 2pc bloodstain+2pc pale flame and aquila favonia
She became my main auto attacker, while xiao only takes the field when his burst ready
Run physical Jean with subdps Fischl, Beidou, and Xingqiu. You can tell everyone including yourself you're running a physical Jean team, but secretly it'll have the damage of a taser team. No one will ever know
I've run physical Jean from day 1 and later added on Aquila. I never need Jean support builds bevause I have Kazuha for that so Jean can just have fun slapping enemies around with her sword.
I think we all can agree that this is Zy0x big brain time, he knew that most of us are gonna lose 50/50 on upcoming banners. So he made a Jean guide.

Jean is a Jack of all trades but a master of none. But a Jack of all trades is better than a master of one.
She's really versatile
The only thing that she can't do is shielding
Kazuha is the most flexible character BUT he can’t heal. Otherwise he has good dmg, good CC, good buffer, good battery, can use VV well.
Jean can do most thing pretty well, but her CC is pretty lacking. Hold E doesn’t suck many enemies, and is really only good for fall dmg.
@@Aliens1337 Kazuha isn't really a good battery because he bounces into the air which makes it hard for other characters to catch the particles. It is fine but it will be much tighter compared to other anemo batteries.Other than that yeah hes pretty good at evrything.
Yea she is very flexible indeed. Can literally be used as a DPS, a Sub-DPS, a support, an anemo battery, a resistance shredder, and a healer~ Definitely tied with Bennett for the most versatile character in Genshin
I felt like I had to come back to this guide now that Furina is out, since her insane synergy with Jean is gonna skyrocket the Acting Grand Commander’s strength.

Jean has been a top-tier character since the game came out. Better characters have been released, but she will never be bad. I love her

Sunfire Jean was the original way to beat Lectors when they were first introduced into Abyss. The pyro swirl would pretty much instantly remove all of the electro shield.
So sunfire jean was basically Jean+Benett, I was always confused what people meant by sunfire in genshin 😂

@@HailAzathoth you don't need C6 Bennett for it, that only infuses your weapon. He applies the pyro element to your character at any constellation.

I’ve been thinking about building a swirl team centered around Jean, using quickswap burst supports like Rosaria, Bennett, and Kokomi
Aven after a year, jean is still relevant and compatible with the newest character. My build never got any change since day one. Heck it's even get more better after more new artifacts and swords cames out. It's proof that jean is perfectly designed. I give the dev 2 thumbs for this. 👍👍

Jean was my first 5* character (after pulling skyward atlas twice) and she is still my favourite character alongside xiao. Great damage, and great healing with easy recharge

Considering the fact that the game has so many bugs (1 champion has enough bugs to fill a book), has terrible gameplay designs, even more terrible balancing team, and a community that surpasses both in toxicity. It's only saving grace is the music video team.

Curiously, the way you've described is exactly how I've been playing her for some time. Most of my Genshin friends who have her tend to overlook her, but to me she's a staple in the lower abyss levels. She's especially effective in lingering effect teams, such as those including Xiangling, Kokomi, Mona, etc.
A fully raised Jean (lvl 90, all talents to 9) is a powerhouse, able to heal the entire party up to 100% with one elemental burst and providing decent damage numbers from her skills. Definitely worth the time needed to raise her to full potential.

Perfect. I just got Jean in my 50/50 for Kokomi, but I've never been happier.
She's all I ever wanted since I started. More than a year later, she finally came home.
I run her in my taser team with Raiden, Yae and Xq. This team has been brute forcing through this abyss man, it is so fun to play I love it. Jean herself puts out a lot of damage in the team and those electro swirls help Raiden and Yae hit harder.

I was super excited when I got jean. She's not highly invested (she's level 80) but I have her built as a sub dps - her E hits at around 20-22k on crit and her ult at 40-45k. Not amazing, but great versatility and very useful in coop. She's effectively a jack of all trades but master of none, love her.

As always I love your videos. I have been watching your VODs for the past few months now but can never catch you live, because of time zone differences I guess. I'll try the sunfire team you mentioned, seems pretty fun
Anemo is just a very very very fun element to play. You have many crowd control characters which do extremely well with enemy reposition, then a dps with the most unique gameplay ever, and a healer but built on offensive stats. May not be the best damage dealer team in the game, but definitely the most fun.
Jean was my first 5 star. I built her to be a sub dps and have her talents to lvl 9. I always like to see these updated videos on original characters, so much has changed since the game came out.
Same she’s probably the most versatile character on genshin I do 30k skill and 40k on burst without any buffs at c1

I love how Sunfire Jean is finally gaining some recognition... It's just such a fun and interesting mechanic to explore~ I don't have Raiden (since I'm still debating on getting Ayaka) but right now, I'm using Jean in a National Team and it's just amazing... My level 60-70 characters literally burned Lv. 90 world bosses to ash~ I'm excited to see what other players would use with Sunfire, I'm currently waiting for Ayaka so I can try Melt
I've been using her instead of Bennett in a Yoimiya fireworks team and the rotation still works! I'm waiting for another Jean drop to C2 and give ATK spd to Yoimiya, who will definitely appreciate it

I really love Jean's burst since it has anemo cleanse (unlike pyro xinyan, bennet or worse, hydro for barbz and kokomi)
Yeah pyro cleanse can cause you to get overloaded (Thoma does it too), and hydro can cause you to get frozen. Nothing bad happens to you with anemo cleanse
I just got Jean on the Kokomi banner, and this made me feel better about losing the 50/50 due to how she can also be a great healer and a strong person to have on my team

I R5 the Inazuma sword and after consuming the 3 succession seeds, my ult was at 75% energy. This is with around 145% ER on my Jean.
I’m pretty sure ER doesn’t effect effects that just give you Energy, there has to be a particle for ER do anything. So like the Inazuma sword’s effect doesn’t care about ER, but the Favonius sword’s does.
I was thinking about R5 Amenoma since I got Aquila but am using it on Bennett for the high base atk
@@samkeiser9776 Regardless the Amenoma give you a shit ton of energy even at R1 with little ER you have so is still the superior choice anyway

Honestly if you have Jean, she's the best healer. She got me thru corrosion, and has vv shred as a bonus. No need for the fish.
same, she's the only reason i find the tazer team playable at all (Jean, Beidou, Xinqiu, Fischl), plus i dont really like using Sucrose as a on field driver (i dont like catalysts normal attacks)
I was blessed with her as my first 5 star character, she made my early-game so fun. The "AR 10 super-lucky-early-game-Jean-pull" was quite the experience lol

Quite surprised Physical Jean was never mentioned, I've been mainly using my Jean in a physical build with her BiS weapon Aquila favonia (aesthetically too) since the start of the game and she still hits hard to this day. It's fun abusing her Charge attack combo, the damage scaling on it is insane! With a good build she's great as an on-field dps whilst healing the team consistently with enough ER! C2 even boosts her physical damage output greatly!
I was planning on building on Jean as a main dps too but I was wondering if using the Aquila would reduce the damage for her E taps. I'm currently doing around 14k damage with her E with an amenoma lvl 80, 61, 123 ratio and 1810 attack. Would you mind telling me how much her NAs do as well as her E? By the way the reason I'm playing this game is because of Jean so I would really love to use her all the time.
@@ochithabandara3463 I don't have exact calcs on front of me right know but aquila is definitely the best choice for any jean build.
Attack wise, aquila works out to about 100 extra attack without affects. ( aquila is 674 + 134 = 808, ameno is 454 + 249 = 703). This helps with her healing as it's attack scaling, and the physical bonus on aquila makes her NAs and CAs hit even harder
Only thing you slightly lose out on is the extra bit of energy from amenos passive, but tbh it takes a long time to trigger anyway and doesn't generate too much.
If you have it, definitely use aquila
@@ochithabandara3463 I can't give you the exact stats as I don't have Aquilia but when I can tell that in term of dmg, the Amenoma (r1) lose to Harbinger of Dawn (r5) , Blackcliff (r1) , Black Sword (r1) , and Harbinger come equal with the Black Sword with Blackcliff come out on top among these 4
So Aquilia with higher base atk and Physics atk stats will provide much more dmg in NAs (but of course your ratio need to be good) and because Aquilia also give you a lot of ATK%, more than Blackcliff, should both weapons end up with equal Crit ratio, Aquilia will come out on top.
Side note: Jean can heal while doing NAs so using Aquilia can help kill them faster while also provide bonus healing and with high atk give Jean even more healing.
Forgot to mention, her E will deal alot more dmg of course, whatever you have now, plus like at least 3k to 5k or even 6k 7k
I also recommend using 2pcs Gladiator/Shimenawa and 2pcs Viridescent instead of 4 Viridescent if you using her as main DPS (unless you already run it like that, just ignore this last bit)

I watch only you and Braxophone for build guides and one thing I love that he does is he always goes over artifacts for those under AR45 which is so helpful, because though this video is SUPER detailed and I appreciate it so much I am AR39 and I don’t have any of the artifacts you mentioned so I’m not entirely sure on BIS set for her right now. I just got her last night and would love to build her as best as I can. Thank you!!
In the sunfire team you can swap roles between hydro and electro, you can use Childe (ayato) as your autoattacker with Beidou as your electro off field dps.
