built in satnav is a very poor substitute for my phones gps and map system which updates every week..this car uses your phone gps to navigate which is a much better idea
i like this car it's very nice
This SUV doesn’t deserve the Eclipse name, the Eclipse is a sports coupe god darnit!
Nice but My Pajero sport GLS Primium 2018 is even nicer then the eclispe. Its already to late for me to buy the Eclispe.

I'm surprised that no one is talking about the previous mid 2000s Eclipse cars and it's variants, the Eclispe used to be a nippy FWD 4Banger made for fun, but now it's nothing but an unoriginal excuse of a crossover... not that it's bad, but it's so insulting that it hurts...
driving an asx 2014 model.would like to get the eclipse cross but only if it does not have the roll on corners the asx has.will take a test drive and decide,otherwise will have to pay loads more,which i dont want,and go for the mazda cx-5.

The ASX is absolute garbage, by any measure.
Just forget about Mitsubishi’s altogether.
apart from rolling a bit in corners it is a very practical car.my absolute favourite is the Mazda cx5.that is the numero uno.

No built in Sat Nav even on the top spec model!?
Murray Sumpter it has android auto and Apple carplay. Thats much better than a built in Sat nav, new cars dont have that anymore. Its old news.
I use Android Auto. Imagine getting into the car, and it shows you if your flight is on schedule, and navigation directions and traffic to the car park you booked - without asking. Or just say "Hey Google, Navigate to Bunnings" and it just picking the nearest one.
Apple is not quite is good, they are about 2 years behind. You can do the same thing, you might have to tell Siri a little more details, and pronounce it funny.

Don't Get A Diesel Version what ever you do.... MITSUBISHI Diesel Particulate Filter systems are terrible and clog up really really easily and if you don't pay too much to get your servicing done at Mitsi then they ARE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND when you have any problems..
My Car has experienced this in order:
1. Electric leak - chews 1 battery per year minimum
2. Cheap hosing - fuel return line split, lucky it wasn't petrol - Check the hosing on any demo and you can poke your finger through it they're that thin..
3. DPF's are absolutely stupid in Mitsi's - terrible design, it WILL cost you between 5-10k to fix and service, usually within a couple years.
4. Everything will break JUST as that warranty you know and love runs out - no in-built obsolescence, my arse Mitsi...
I have a diesel CUV Mitsubishi Adventures for almost 20yrs until now, We didnt get any major problems except the airconditioning unit that needs to charged with freon gas!!!!

You lost me at CVT auto!!!! Garbage drivetrain!!! You took 3 minutes to mention the engine and transmission ! What, you think customers don't care ?
We agree that CVTs can have their drawbacks, but the new Eclipse Cross unit paired with the 1.5-litre turbo is actually pretty good. The turbo's torque generally negates the need to rev, which keeps things quiet most of the time. Give it a drive and tell us if you disagree. Cheers, Mal Flynn

I've driven behind a few of Eclipse Crosses and noticed the rear looks hella ugly? The tyres seem to to angled inwards towards the ground? Or is the design/shape messing with my optics?
I loved very good and solid car ...My GT version is perfect I enjoy driving ...
No rear air vents ( not family friendly ) !
Air flow ( non effective ) under the front seats us no substitute at all !

Don't think I've ever heard of anyone saying their Google maps on their phone uses all their data. Till now. hahaha. Must only have 1 gig on his phone. :)
You get air vents on a higher trim... and no one uses built in sat nav anymore, sorry... it's just not effective at all.
I agree with the no rear air vents thing...thats def an over sight and makes it less family friendly! Also, contrary to what old mate says below they do NOT come in higher spec variants of the Eclipse Cross. I disagree it needs sat nav tho..thats old school technology like CD slots...its just not a required tech anymore. Nice car otherwise! 👍
