    Love the looks from the front, and the rear was great very unique and no issue with my vision, . Engine strong enough to left the cars behind just push the turbo. Interior was decent. Driving very comfy. Great innovation and modern appearance. I bought one.

      The Eclipse Sports Coupe? I dont think it's gonna be soon though. They have to make up for the huge loss by selling hot cars like suvs that takes up huge market shares before they sell sports car that only a few people buy.
      Mitsubishi used to make lots of sports cars in the 90s and forgot to make boring cars like Toyota did.

    Best review by far on the Eclipse Cross that I've seen, thanks. I test drove one the other day and loved it and I cannot understand what other reviewers have against the cvt, I think it's brilliant. I guess if you're some stick-shift petrol head who loves driving sports cars you mightn't like it but for real world SUV driving where 95% of the time you're on tarmac personally, I think it's great. It's nimble, smooth and quiet without much body roll and looks fab. I thought the rear end might be an issue but it's really not. The only thing is, compared to my current Outlander, the boot is considerably smaller; I doubt I could get my bicycle in without removing the front wheel. But for everyday use for myself and my partner and the dog, I think it's a lovely car so I've decided this will be my next vehicle and have ordered one.

    • @AutoReviewCom
      @AutoReviewCom  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much.
      The thing with most CVT transmissions is that they don't seem to work properly. This one however surprised me and I would actually count myself as one of those petrol manual stick driving heads (as you mentioned ;-) ) as I drive a manual hot hatch. But I do appreciate a good automatic, especially as everyday car for commuting.
      I doubt you could fit the bike in the car without removing the front wheel, just from the height it might be too low.
      Wish you always save drives with the new car once it arrives. cheers

    Great review! Still waiting this car arrives at my country, Indonesia. After watching this review, I have no doubt on the CVT cause I thought it's just like Honda's or another. Hope the diamond trim comes along also. It has the eclipse name! Dope!

    Thanks Patrick for the great in-depth review! In fact, the best & most objective one I've seen so far on the Internet. You've earned yourself a new subscriber! :) I was actually concerned about all those negative reviews on the transmission provided by the CVT engine, until I read yours! I'm getting the 2WD variant (AWD not avail) in this part of the world (Singapore), and I'm 99.9% on urban tarmac roads, so I guess it'll work even more effectively & efficiently? I'm also concerned about a 1.5 Turbo engine driving such a relatively large & heavy car - it's like living on steroids? How long will it, and such last? As for the interior, the major grudge I have gotta be the head rests of the back seats. They are so low at the lowest point that it causes discomfort to my upper back, and I've to lift it up. But then the highest point is too high to look good & it's obstructing the driver's rear view. They should've allowed intermediate 'lockable' points for greater flexibility in the height adjustment. Also, the back seats seem to be too shallow to be able to support the substantial larger area of a passenger's back thighs (using myself - 1.72m tall - as a gauge). I also don't like the hard seat-belt catch recess between the centre & right seats. It hurts the bum sitting on it!! Other than all these, I hope to enjoy a great drive/ride when I get my hands behind the wheel of this all new car! (I did a short test drive on it days ago though..:)

      It all depends on if the dealership where I get the cars from will have one or not. As I don’t get the cars from the PR department from the manufacturer but directly from a dealership in the region I live.

    Good unbiased review, the first time I saw the eclipse cross i wondered what on Earth is Mitsubishi doing , but the look eventually grows on you. It's just different, it's not a Pontiac Aztec like people keep saying.
    The interior is best in class with the exception of rear AC vents which Mitsubishi seem to keep excluding in all their vehicles including the outlander. It's like an industry standard now. Even kia vehicles have rear AC.
    This looks much better than the juke, and is more comparable to the Toyota C-HR. With a futureristic design. It also beats the juke and C-HR in practicality.
    Mitsubishi needs to keep the price of this vehicle down. To compete with the Mazda cx3 and cx5, Vitara etc.

    • @AutoReviewCom
      @AutoReviewCom  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot, appreciate your feedback.
      The thing with the look is actually exactly what it is. It grows on you and even the rear makes sense (as mentioned in the video).
      If you would like to see reviews of the Toyota RAV-4 (coming soon on my channel), the Maxda CX-3/5 (already online) or various different SUV's just check my other reviews. By now I have been able to review a wide variety of vehicles.

      The front seats cannot be folded flat, so it won’t be possible. And you can see in the video as well that when you fold the 2nd row it has an incline so isn‘t flat towards the end.

    • @chrischang7330

      Auto Review that’s cool. Thanks for responding to my question. I am actually torn between this new Eclipse Cross and Ford Edge. I’m getting a new family vehicle soon and I don’t want to regret my decision. Budget wise I’m really into this Eclipse Cross but 1.5 engine is kinda makes me want to go for the Edge. Anyways, thanks again for the reply. Great review, you have a new subscriber here. 🤙🏼

      I have reviewed the Ford Edge, however not sure if the video has been released in both English and German at that time. Regarding the 1.5l engine in the Eclipse Cross I really have to say that it is a really good one and you don't feel the smaller engine capacity. Thanks for your subscription. cheers

      I have reviewed a couple of introductions about this car. Your presentations about cars are competent and very good and the videos are of excellent quality! I've traveled with some cars through history and also with some Mitsubishi, and a couple of acquaintances have had Mitsubishi. I've heard a lot of praise for the Mitsubishi, and there are almost similar seats on this car with the L200 version (which is very comfortable for a long drive). Mitsubishi is quiet inside and does not snag anywhere (high-quality, like many more expensive cars) . The prospect of windows and mirror placement, controllability, maneuverability and technology, very good engines , etc. ... . There is ASX and Outlander , and This model is more compact, tech, design and sporty CVT !
      When I wrote before and published a comment, there was one sentence missing! This sentence was not visible in the public post. Now I watched an hour later and now the sentence is visible! I have already commented a lot about various devices and many TH-cam videos, and so many times before, that the published comment is not at all what I wrote! And whenever I write about it, my comments often disappear ...! Someone of the mysterious IP administrator will do what he thinks ...! Probably some kind of Russian spy time! If possible, check your comments in any case as well ... (maybe someone fake IP administrator will also block secretly your internet connection)! Your video shows me 21106 views / 120 up fingers / 5 down fingers and 17 commentators, with me!

    I find it very noisy. I have outlander and it is the same annoying issue with the noise. There is no good insulation of the CVT and the car itself.
    Nice design but the back lights create a terrible blind spot. Do not try to convince us that it is ok when obviously it is not.
    Also the engine is with Direct injection which may create you headache if you put not a good fuel. Other thing that annoys me is the screen. It is not easily reachable. Even on your video your body goes forward in order to reach it. I personaly prefer the phone google or apple maps for navigation. Going from one to other EU country it is not a problem because we have free internet accross the EU using our phone plans.
