I really admire and respect you Jo. For me, you are one of the best ' out there' in your field. This video again demonstrates to me how authentic and what pure gold you are, not only as a teacher but as a person. I'm 58 and pretty much a novice compared to you ( having only had my CELTA since 2018) but I follow your work and your guidance and I see you as my main mentor. You give so much of yourself and I congratulate you richly on this fabulous and well-deserved achievement.
Congratulations, Dr Gakonga! Your videos, calm and reassuring voice and positive and caring attitude have helped me so much in the past 3 years! First, your videos helped me pass my CELTA in 2019, and to this day, I'm still listening to them whenever I need to boost my teaching skills. Thank you and I wish you lots of success and good luck in the future
Congrats Jo!!! So happy to hear about your accomplishment - thanks for sharing your life's work, you've been a great inspiration through all of your knowledge, guidance and hard work 🥰
Congratulations, dr Jo🙌! I truly believe that a PhD gives you powerful insights into life and high-performance productivity tools. It was a 6-year challenging PhD jouney for me too. Like you, I learned how to get out of the comfort zone, how to stretch my limits in the struggle to reach a balance in my personal and professional areas. During the process, I had to learn how to juggle demanding yet fascinating roles: a mom of a nine-month toddler constantly craving for my attention, a full-time teacher, a manager of an Erasmus+ grant I won for my institution, a co-founder of a teaching website. Long story short, this challenging experience taught me how to stay committed to my goals and dreams. It taught me how to find the best resources, tools, and strategies to transform my aspirations into tangible outcomes. I didn't do it just to collect a fancy title, but because I love learning and doing research empowered me to see the world in captivating new way while reconnecting with my core values. It is truly inspiring to hear your story! Keep up your wonderful work!
Congratulations Dr. Goganka! You’re an amazing teacher to teachers and to professors like me. It is people like you should pursue and then have your doctorate. I tell people that unless you’re called to do a doctorate or if you’re DNA requires a high level of status and respect (if only to avoid being treated like someone other than a person who has spent their life developing adult learners for a lot of satisfaction and relatively low pay) don’t do it - there are other ways to spend your money, your, time, and your focus. Once again, congratulations Dr. Goganka and thank you for blessing my students by improving my instructional approach through your informative and highly useful videos.
Funding for an MA depends on where you're from.. in the UK these days, you can get a loan for it (not a stipend, though). If you're wondering about it, you might find this helpful th-cam.com/video/5mLTiSh4owQ/w-d-xo.html
