Every time this video came on, I would jump up and do the choreography with them. I only didn't do it now because I don't want to break my floor. lol I did do a seated version as I still remember the moves. Dancing was actually an important thing for the Mtv Generation (aka Gen X). We had a show called "Club Mtv" that came on in the afternoon. I would dance along to that too. Every afternoon after school. Your generation missed out. I'm only realizing how much watching these reactions.
My other dance songs that I cannot NOT dance to are "Let the Music Play" by Shannon and "It Takes Two" by Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock. As far as Bobby Brown goes, he was really talented and I still await a major comeback. He kinda just became the villain in Whitney Houston's story which was unfair. You must react to "Don't Be Cruel". I think it's his best song. He was pretty huge at the time. He even did the theme for Ghostbusters 2. You might also want to try "Poison" by Bel Biv Devoe and "Motownphilly" by Boyz II Men. His former band mates from New Edition were also involved in those records.

Yes this was the shit. Late 80s and 90s music was 🔥. New Edition, 112, Jodeci, Guy, BBD; they were all awesome!

BOBBY was nothin' to mess with back then! He had tons of energy at the top of his game! So did M.C. HAMMER...Especially with his smashing hit single, CAN'T TOUCH THIS! Let me tell you! As an 80's & early 90's kid...the styles & music back then were extremely different from what you see & hear today! Back then, you'd have to come correct in your vocals plus dancing skills! Not to even mention the type of cologne you wear, style of dressing, along with the Gumby or the Hight Top Fade haircuts that you now see in some of today's generation to really impress the ladies & visa versa! Back then...which I really missed! Knowing how to approach & talk to a female was tought to you through smooth love songs & how you dressed also meant a lot! That's just how it was! The 80's & 90's...trully the best decades!!

Don't Be Cruel was my first CD. I was in 2nd grade. I still have it and the whole album is solid. Bobby turned out to be a real POS but I still love this album.

Yeh his hair cut was like Air Jordans lol...everyone who could get it, got it..also the baggy pants and the running man, and that cross over period with New Jack Swing style...yeh love it.

Definitely play My Prerogative by Bobby. In the late 80's I had to replace this cassette 3 times because I played it so much getting ready for school. My cassette player kept eating it.

I **LOOOOOOOVE** the New Jack Swing era. React to "On Our Own", "My Prerogative", "She Ain't Worth It" (ft. Glenn Medeiros), and "Don't Be Cruel" by Bobby Brown. He had several hits with New Edition when he was younger, too. All them boys from New Edition ended up slaying with New Jack Swing classics.

I remember wearing out the cassette of Don't Be Cruel. Too many bangers especially side A which had Don't Be Cruel, Rock Witcha, Roni, and My Prerogative. All classic R&B songs you should hear!

Bobby brown was my fan girl crush as a teenager. This album was loaded with bangers. Still love him to this day. Especially after his new series “every little step “has been airing. It’s been bringing back lots of good memories and keeping his swag and style alive. He has overcome so many major obstacles and losses in his life and I’m so proud of him that he is still here today and still standing! (Bobby B❤️‍🩹😘)

I loved your reaction. I was 13 yrs old and absolutely in love with Bobby Brown when this video came out, I am 45 now. This was and still is my favorite video. As you stated wanting to learn the dance moves, I still remember them, because that's what we did after watching videos we learned the steps. I'm glad you took the time to review this. I hope you got an understanding of how good music was back then. Keep digging in the crates, there is so much more!

This was produced by L.A. and Babyface, who were members of another group called The Deele. The Deele had a string of hits including Shoot'em Up Movies, Two Occasions. When this came out I was ROCKIN'! I was doing the dance steps too! I backed up a couple of friends when they did shows because I was DEEP into dancing energetically with sharp, clean moves and intention!

I totally remember I was about 10 when this album came out and I had it on tape. I'd started listening to the radio the year before (U2, REM, Def Leppard, INXS) - so much good music that still makes me smile was coming out around then.
