It’s actually Ralph Tresvant that’s from the New Edition group. He was in the background vocals. Apparently he stepped in when Bobby was out of it and wasn’t coming in for studio sessions. So I’m guessing he came back and finished the song and they put Ralph’s vocals in the background . That’s why the alibis and the background vocals sound like Mike Jack Bc Ralph’s voice was high asf😂😂
The new edition left out the fact on how much more successful Bobby was than new edition for example in 1988 Bobby dropped his album DONT be Creul which sold 7 million copies in the US while new editions heartbreak from the same year sold 2 million Bobby also had a successful album in 1992 called Having hit songs like Humpin around get away and good enough the album was certified 2x platinum in the US in 1993 so it probably could of well been up there with don’t be cruel. The other member of new edition had success but not like Bobby, Ralph’s first album sold 1 million copies and his second flopped, Johnny gills first album sold 2 million copies his second would flop Mike roN and Ricky formed BBD and their first album sold 4 million and their second went gold selling 500,000 Bobby was also the only new edition member to have a No.1 hit on the billboard hot 100 with my prerogative and also she ain’t worth it which he wrote and featured by Glenn medrios also Bobby has sold more total albums than new edition as a whole.
My reaction to your comment about the other dancer from the movie being smoother than Bobby Brown is that all those moves were created by him and others from that time and as such the dancers in the film had all these years to perfect those moves. Jus sayin'.
