That is correct. Paul had 3 kids with Linda...Mary, Stella, & James his only boy. Plus he adopted Heather, Linda's oldest daughter from a previous marriage & bore young Beatrice from his marriage to Heather Mills. Mary is smart, sweet, beautiful, and a talented photographer like her mom Linda was..

This is the first time I've heard any of the McCartney children speak (apart from Stella). Mary has her dad's mannerisms and comes across as an unassuming, sweet and talented person. Couple of other things from this: it's almost forgotten that Elton served a long intense apprenticeship as a session musician before becoming famous in his own right and regarding the Abbey Road iconic photograph of the Beatles on the Zebra Crossing it's worth checking out the quirky story of the American tourist ( standing background in front of the parked van on the right of the picture) who was caught accidentally and preserved forever in one of the most famous photos ever taken in music history.
For me, she's way more like her mom.

The most obvious feature of Mary's face are her eyes which are, of course, her fathers eyes. They are quite striking and it's easy to find yourself drawn to them to the exclusion of the rest of her face, as the world has always been drawn to her fathers eyes, but in this video I'm suddenly aware for the first time how the rest of her features are strikingly her mothers.
She is uniquely beautiful.

How proud Paul must be. Mary is seemingly 1000% lovely in every way a woman can be lovely. Of all people who could possibly be arrogant and entitled…there is none of that evident at all. She has clearly been beloved and lovingly raised by very responsible parents.

I was lucky enough to attend a premier showing of the movie at Yale University earlier this week, with a talk and interview with Mary following the film. She came across just as she does here , a humble and kind talented artist. As for the documentary, if you don't have Disney, get it. The 90 minutes flew by I could have easily sat for 90 more. The section she mentioned about Pink Floyd recording Dark Side of the Moom at Abbey Road was just incredible, cutting back and forth from Waters and Gilmour working in the studio back then, to their comments about the experience now, just so well done.
I was there too running the documentry in the booth. Lucky to get a selfie with her.
There is a good story about that. All those voices at the end of Money were people pulled from surrounding studios. Paul & Linda included.
Fun fact, I admire Paul as much for his family example, as well as his music
if all major studio walls could sing, indeed.....i just love documentaries about legendary studios, we all remember the one dave grohl did for soundcity, it was epic.....

Mary also directed "Wingspan", Paul McCartney's 2000 documentary follow-up to "The Beatles Anthology". It covers Paul's career from 1970-80.

Wingspan was directed by Mary McCartney's then-husband Alistair Donald - but she was co-producer and Paul McCartney's interviewer.
This made me think of the cookbook on vegan cooking the family put out covering Linda's recipes for vegans. Bought it for my daughter who decided around 5 to be vegan when no other family member was. It's a great gift and honors Linda and the entire wonderful McCartney family.

I remember calling Mary "my baby sister" upon finding out she had been born 😅 I was 5 and already a massive Beatles fan. That's what "growing up" with The Beatles is like. An odd, strange "familiarity"!

@@alukuhito It was an open day. You got to spend an afternoon in the studios walking around and there was a talk with special guests. I was even lucky enough to meet Ken Townsend!

For those who don't know (probably no one) Parlophone specialised in light orchestral music before The Beatles.
That's why the Fab Four used the smaller No. 2 studio. It became the Mecca for groups and artists to record in.
You can tell Paul and Linda raised there children well they just seen very typically British and down to earth

Was blessed to be signed to EMI and recorded an album there in 69 while The Beatles worked on Abbey Road. Met all of them. Just amazingly down to earth, and Paul especially. Really down to earth, asked where we were from, etc. Listened to all our dumb questions. "Just the way they was before they was" as the lady in the movie "Help" said .

In America we do things different, we do tear down famous buildings. One was at 5th and Columbus in New York City. That is where the studio recording for the Sound of Music was made.
The tall building in the background photo with the two opposing ramped rooftops was designed by architect Philip Johnson.
