Nice review! I have the 334 in all 3 chamberings and all 3 are shooters. They are all Turkish walnut and are absolutely beautiful rifles. No regrets purchasing them at all...was able to get the triggers down to 3.5-4.5 on all three. Liked/subbed.
Thank you for the review. I'm a retired Vet and money is very tight these days as everyone knows. I want to purchase a bolt rifle but just seems like there isn't money enough and I only have a Mossberg Maverick and a Steoger STR9C for protection and nothing really for hunting deer, so I really do appreciate your review of the Stevens. Academy Sports has a Wooden stock Steavens 334 in .308 for $413 right now and I think I'll get it.. Thanks again!!
good choice!! i like them in the wood stock plus the action is alot better in the wooden stock version. thanks for the comment. i retired military myself and know what you mean!! Peace be the warrior!
The bolt does smooth out if you knock a little of the cerakote down with 800 grit then a 1000 grit sandpaper but you’ll still have that step going into the bolt face due to the design. It’s a negligible thing though considering I got it for $300 out the door
first off thanks for the comment. i think you will be happy with it. the wood version is really nice. good luck with it , happy shooting. and dont forget to subscribe!! thanks again
Just ordered the 334 in 6.5 creedmoor with the black plastic stock. I prefer the pretty wood but it's nearly $100 higher & I would have it trashed in a few years from hunting anyway
I got the walnut in 6.5, and it shoots really tight groups. Beautiful grain stock. No regrets with the purchase.
@russellk6415 right on man. I think I'm gonna buy the same model. Bud's has it for 416.
@jbird73
Unfortunately, it only comes in 3 calibers. 308, 243, and the 6.5 creedmoor. I really have no disappointment in the rifle. Well made.

I agree they are a really good rifle for the price, I find them hard to beat in their class.
Do we know what pattern action this is? Will it take any aftermarket stocks?
Got a 243 otw.

So if you buy this rifle do your self a favor and lube the bolt right away. It will be a lot smoother. Great rifle for a great price
when i get these rifles, i clean out the barrel, and clean the bolt then use a lube on them. as always
