    • @TristanMaker

      The resin with make the helmet less flexible, so easier to paint like a 3D print, but it might crack if you drop it. Check out my Boba Fett helmet build for another option for sealing the helmet.

      You can print on any size paper. Watch the printing tutorial video linked in the product description on Etsy, all the information is there

      If you don't want to deal with printer problems. I always recommend just going to a local print shop and ask them to print the template at full size.

    Anyone know if the t shape front piece sides are also recessed out by 2mm or if it's just the top bit ?

    • @TristanMaker
      @TristanMaker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The whole piece has to be 2mm higher. So the top and both sides.

    Anyone know if mod podge would be a good sealer for this. If so matte or gloss ?

    • @TristanMaker
      @TristanMaker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are talking about sealing the foam before painting, mod podge is a great option. Just apply 3 to 5 coats of the matte version. Then you can sand it with 150 and 220 grit sandpaper for the best finish.
      If it's for sealing the paint, that won't work very well. Mod podge is not made to be used as a clear coat since it doesn't dry 100% clear.

      Just regular home printers. The templates get printed on multiple pages, as explained in my printing tutorial video.

      RJR Production has templates for the helmet on Etsy which are specificaly for cardboard. My templates would not work for cardboard since it doesn't behave like EVA foam.
