Just to update you abit. This movie is a remake of the 1979 film Maula Jatt. The story will be different to the original although the main theme of a Rivalry and the Characters will be the same. They've even kept some of the dialogues from the original which were popular back then as they are using same guy to write them. The reason it got delayed initially is due to to copyright with the Producer of the original. Once that settled then Covid Lockdown and Covid film backlog cause more delays.
The Original Maula Jatt was made 40 yrs ago and it was an All time Favorite Punjabi Cult Movie and this is a New Remake of it, because of Copyright issues there was a case filed in the Courts by the makers of the Original Movie "; so they had to change the name of the Movie from Maula Jatt to the Legend of Maula Jatt. The film was inspired by Ahmed Nadeem Qasimi's short story Gandasa which described the Culture of Gujranwala's Rural Areas.
No there was no case about the plot or story it's a new story with just the same characters name and the case was just on using the same name of the previous movie and it's not a sequel
I just watched this Movie in a big seat capacity theatre in Canada I was shocked to see entire cinema's seats were taken Hamza, Daro ,and Nori,s Brother Acting was Amazing Noori was full occupied in entire Film and everybody start clapping when Noori come on screen and said (نوا آئیاں اے سونیا) Hamza and Daro were the Best.
It's releasing in English, Chinese, Urdu, Dubbing as well.
