The main issue you touched on is the economy of wot console in general. Anyone play tier X stock tanks assuming they're going to make silver at the end of a match? It's fun getting the mvp spot and losing 30k silver. Remember WG having to add a permanent 4x silver boost to CW because of the issues mentioned in the video, and the WW2 economy doesn't pay out enough at higher tiers, so it naturally didn't work in the new mode. Thankfully the booster in CW made it the silver mine WW2 needs to be enjoyable. As for the WW2 players hating CW, I don't know why they hate seeing the enemy from across the map in a open field, but it feels like an old man yelling at a new operating system. That and I think WW2 players like having a vision system that forces everyone into a dysfunctional "team." I do not enjoy seeing medium tank plink in out of and existence, and from my map, because they reversed behind a rock at 350 meters.
One of the things Cold War needs badly is an addition to the spotting mechanic. We can see an enemy we have no way way of telling the team about. Add a way of marking a sighted but not spotted vehicle. Why have radios that function like WW2 mode in TV? I find it odd this doesn’t get more attention.
In a sense, we do have a marking mechanic. If you shoot them, they appear spotted briefly. Yes, not 100% reliable and probably not quite what you are looking for, but it exists.
@@danceswithmules Aware of that, but it’s not consistent with “true” vision as a concept. In a Cold War tank I have a radio. If I can see something I should be able to radio the position of that vehicle to my team. The concept of having to be able to HIT a visible vehicle in order to mark it for a team is beyond stupid.
They should just get rid of spotting and make it to where the only way you can kill is if you are actually watching your surroundings. So if you are heavily concealed you.dont just pop out because the game tells the enemy where you are even though they cant see you. The games spotting mechanic is a handicap.
I still play WWII more just cause I want to grind those lines. CW is fun I kinda stopped when I got to the M60 cause the mechanics always make it bottom tier. I've picked ask up with the British lines and enjoying it. I think folks get too worked up over true vision, but I toss that to most people really don't like change.
Cold war is awesome i hardly play WW2 anymore it can get frustrating sometimes but that frustration doesn't come close to being 1 shot by arty in ww2 every other game... But i do agree with the silver issue but at the same time i dont believe new players should be able to jump straight into cold war
Cold War is ok it's the beginning, they need to fine tune it. Negativs are to costly, re researching tanks and modules is just a horrible idea. Positivs are no ARTI'S true vision works for Cold war new modern tanks are nice.
Great video Riki - well played in that match. The BMP line are seriously under powered and, well honestly, I thought you were toast... I'm not a new player and have been at this for 7 years. Initially I played CW from the get go just to see how it was and became hooked almost instantly. I had silver but was fairly cautious with upgrading M46A1/M47/M48/T44/T55/Object 165. What I found was that upgrading packages from stock, unlike WW2, offered relatively little improvement other than, in some cases, the gun. So I saved silver that way until I earned enough to upgrade what I wanted to in the tanks I enjoyed playing. I see no reason why new players can't have a reasonable time in CW other than the outright cost of the next tank in the tech tree being prohibitively expensive. That said, enough free CW reward tanks have been given to grind silver and the recent silver bonus for the M46A1 and T-44A was positive (personally made at least 20m extra on both tanks). Agree nothing wrong with the vision system and both are good and offer something to learn and become good at. If given the choice, I would choose true vision as I think overall with true vision you have to keep moving and it stops camping. I think to try and combine the two modes would be a mistake, HOWEVER, given the overwhelming popularity of WW2 mode and the fact that Era3 has so few players resulting in about 30-60% of matches being filled with bots, I think a way could be found to trial Era 3 tanks in WW2 as tier 11 (turning off true vision, no ATGMs and lowering both the hit points and the speed of the heavy tanks). I would like more WW2 players to play CW and get to Era3, not just roll out their free CW premium to grind silver in Era 1 and 2.
When they trialed tv into ww2 it absolutely sucked especially for the LT and TD lines with you being in full cover behind bushes you could still be spotted or on el haluf as most tank normally go off to set up on each ridge line each team was being picked off right at the start I can see why they wanted the tv in cw with the missile mechanics and smoke grenades and went in that direction But like you stated cw is fps version of wotc but ww2 is a rts and have different mechanics on how they operate with how people play Ww2 can be a fast paced mode where players can have a choice to push and put the other side on the back foot and it can end in seconds if it’s a bad play or a massive turn around that takes the whole match where cw is slower paced and everyone camps not willing to push hoping for the new players rushing in as bait to pull the other side out and the slightest bit of damage they hide healing themselves whilst driving away (they really need to adjust that you can only heal is if your stationary and any movement pauses it) But props to wg making cw into a pvp and pve I play more pve due to the bots do give it the ww2 feel where there is conflict, risk vs reward and the face to face combat instead of being pinged from the other side of the map I’m going to be ww2 over cw due to that’s where I find it more enjoyable, having a laugh when platooning and balanced in the tanks having more variety and the ways they play But for cw if they implemented a 3rd mode was a ww2 mode where they remove cv, missiles, smoke grenades and the tank repair I’d be more down with that and no need to create a t11-13 for the ww2 As cw stands now I’m going to hate myself in saying this it does need artillery (they keep the same ww2 mechanics) just to force camping players who stay in one area and give LT more to do in spotting Hopefully there won’t be a divide the the community but the rate it’s going that bridge is gonna crumble and no one from either side is going to repair it
Great video, very valid points. It is rather expensive to play Cold War, and you do need to spend a little money to advance your tanks, without going crazy trying to grind. This is what makes it hard for new players like you said. Love CW and its mechanics, still play WW2 and have fun with it, but it cost’s me too much silver sometimes.
If you see a enemy T-72BU tank, you better start running. The tanks that can defeat the t-72bu, is a General Dynamics M1A2 Abrams MBT and the BAE Systems Challenger 2 MBT.
As far as I can see CW is to try and generate income from new players, if you have a long grind or an expensive upgrade to buy, as a new player you might just be happy to spend money on gold rather than grind. But I must admit I enjoy a bit of CW its good for silver, and I have had some real high damage games, and no arty is a dream.
I recently started playing CW after several years of WWII. I really enjoy it, especially as I’m not currently happy with rye way arty plays. The best solution is to give new accounts a game number limited silver and XP boosts to help them grind the bottom tier Era1 tanks quickly. This then gives them a good base unit on which to learn the mechanics of the game. Enjoyed your game here by the way.
I 100% agree with you. They implemented the priced based on Tier 11 and up while it is it's own game mode. They should nerf the hell out of the silver earning and silver costs of Cold War to bring them in line with tier 3 and up of WWII where by the for example the Centurion 5/1 would cost 138,500 silver and not 4,380,000 silver, and challenger 2 would cost the same as a tier 10 tank and cost 6,100,000 silver and not 10,090,000. That way new players have a choice of playing WWII or CW. Make them two actual game modes that vets and new players can play and not make it locked behind a massive pay wall that only people like myself can afford to play due to having alot of silver and the ability to make lots of silver with a CW premium tank. PS I play both modes as I'm really liking CW. To me CW is a simulation and WWII is more Arcady.
Prefer CW mode compared to WW2 mode due to true vision. Play both but modern armour and true vision are an excellent addition to the game. Xp grind is easy in CW mode but silver costs are expensive but probably the same games required to go from tier 9 to 10 in WW2 mode.
Enjoyed the video. The cost of silver credits to buy upgrades and then the final tank making the grind not fun in CW. Because of all of that I have only worked on two grinds to get the top ERA 2 tanks. Will not grind for ERA 3 at this time because of the drain on the silver stopping me from obtaining the tanks in WW2. ERA 3 for me may be only premium tanks, but I doubt it. ERA 2 lines are stopped as well at this time as I just use them for silver. I am happy that you at least understand the divisions and the silver credit problems the CW brought. Don't think anything will change as the potential player base for CW increasing has been tainted with the reasons you presented in the video. Like your videos so please keep the good content up!!!
For myself, I’m enjoying Cold War, if for nothing else than it is the only game mode so far that offers Co-Op. I prefer plinking away at bots (and because I suck at multiplayer). I’m hoping that WG does go ahead with introducing a Co-Op mode to WWII as well. Co-Op doesn’t pay remotely as well as multiplayer ( a good game will net you about 100K silver), but it’s a good way to learn the maps and the tactics without getting your arse handed to you every 20 seconds. Good to here that you’re on Patreon, I’ll be going over there to contribute. Keep up the great videos. P.S. I bought some Tanksmas cards in the hopes of getting the bagpipe-in-a-blender sounding Yule Cat, but no such luck yet. 🤪
It's virtually mandatory to have premium CW tanks to make enough silver to upgrade the tech tree lines in any reasonable time. Therefore, there is a huge incentive to grind out the free tank ops.
I completely agree what you saying Rikitikitave. To be fair since 6.0 the tutorial to world of tanks console is trash for new players. My cousin has just started playing an there is no way get started in cold war because of the silver cost. New players have no chance of getting a good start in cold war. They need to think about the new players an get a new tutorial for the new generation of players in this game. An there no tutorial for ww2 yet. They don't even give you a free commander when you start inthe game. An then your forced to going up the US techtree in ww2 for the first few tanks. There is quite a few fixes that wargaming haven't done since 6.0 went live. And we have had enough update since for them to of fixed this problem. This is all I going to say I could go on on but to me it seems like they don't care about the new generation of players😔. I like your content so keep doing what your doing 😀 Rikitikitave
The execution for the 6.0 update was poor, but thats expected for every update for any game. Honestly how they should've done it was leave WWII mode alone the HUD the same no change to this more modern HUD thats meant for the modern armor mod, and just like they did way back in the day make an actual tutorial system to introduce players to the newer mode and mechanics and alsot the problem for making things so expensive, its true everything in the WWII or classic mode as I like calling beginning from tier 6 and up begins to get pricey but unlike the Modern mode Classic does give you a somewhat better silver income that "matches" up to what you need in order to upgrade said tank. They launched the update now its just a matter of them putting the effort to try and fine tune any mistakes they've made. Which are plenty.
To me CW always felt like a mode for experienced players to graduate up to, so WG can still sell the WW2 stuff to new players, CW was and still isn't very new player friendly. I became so into it and so disgruntled with WW2 that I sold off my WW2 as I wasn't even playing it anymore and invested all that money back into CW. But haven't we all complained over the years about new players rushing to tier X, flooding it with premiums and campaign rewards? WW2 has always been sold - yes and by much of the community content that only focuses on tier X games - to the player base that Tier X is the only tier worth playing, everything else is baby stuff, so of course new players all want to get there, buying their way in if they have to. So if its harder to rank up in some ways in CW then just perhaps, people will have to earn and improve their way up instead? And also perhaps, only players who really WANT to will make the journey. Only time will tell of course. But to me CW seems a bit more like a senior division while ww2 seems to be the junior.
Not played wot for at least 3 years. As I had completed the tech tree for nearly every country, done like obscene amount of games lol.Downloaded it yesterday to find all my captains perks gone from ww2, now I can only have 9 perks not the 13 or 14 I had before. I'm able to move all my permanent camouflage from all my tanks to CW no charge. As a veteran from ww2 I'm multi millionaire in CW it's weird. Game mechanics better, don't miss the identity target at all! As it's hilarious playing against people who just like to camp and snipe! Don't miss arty at all. WW2 has changed and is definitely not the game that i poured 50kplus games and a lot of time into. To have so much time away from it, only to return and they haven't added new tanks to the tech tree. So I will try CW with my unlimited resources from WW2. But the moment I actually need real world money to play this game I will just delete the game. I'm just intrigued to see how far all this game money can go in another game.
I've recently fallen in love with CW era 1... no arty, no atgm's, just good honest tank scrapping. Although platooning Shitbarns are becoming an issue!
I think the true vision is excellent because that is the real world. In the real world, you don’t just disappear after 10 seconds at 350 meters away. I also believe the economy system is garbage and War Gaming needs to work on it. I’ve moved over from WWII but I am interested in why more people don’t. If War Gaming got rid of CW, I’m not sure if I would continue playing World of Tanks because I get so much more enjoyment from playing CW.
I think they should bring back tiers 1 and 2 and lower the cost of the upgrades in Cold War. I'm not a big fan of true vision but it's not really a deal breaker for me I'm just used to WW2 vision mechanics
Great game. Were you trying to make the missile come down on top of the tank? I’ve tried a few times not sure of the success of it, it should work. New players need a commander for each nation at the start. I created an Xbox account to redeem some gamepass tanks and even with those tanks I struggled to save up for a commander. I really noticed the lack of skills and equipment.
I've tried it a fair few times in the M60A2 and it just doesn't work as intended, I think you send the missile too far off course and the over correction you then have to perform seems to ruin the impact...am going to give it another try though!
@@kquraishi74 there does seem to be a maximum angle per second of direction change or something similar which is fine, I just wish this stat was shown.
@@TimeSplitter_47 yeah it would be helpful to know. I find that the initial firing produces too much smoke, obscures targeting, so it would make sense to send it up first.
If you play 10-15 battles every day it'll take a few months to a top Era 3 vehicle. Also depends on how much you're prepared to spend on the game, i.e premium time and premium tanks
CW really sucks. A mechanic designed to make frantic battles, simply dedicated to running and crashing, the speed and size of certain vehicles generates a madness in the battlefields that prevents anything strategic and even trying team battles; victories are simply lucky events, on who resists the crashes and explosions the most. Maybe if the maps where bigger, see the tanks even if was not detected by team mates, will works. WW II has a great balance, its mechanics generate closer battles, it allows for better planned victories and, even if incidentally, it encourages better team play: which is not the same as huddling and crashing and shooting to win by luck. On the subject of visible vehicles even without being detected, it seems like a smart move to make the maps seem bigger than they really are, optimizing details with the available space, and at the same time, gives a touch of suspense to the resolution of battles. Lastly, I wish there were more gamers wishing like me, that they end CW and its mechanics, integrating tech trees and vehicle layouts, in the WW II format. Because CW tanks are great, but it will more enjoyable if we could play in WW II format
iam a new player and i only play Cold War, WW2 seems like arcade and i dont like it. Yes its a grinding game, but it is what makes me wanna play better, earn better and think about tackitcs and mechanincs and not just run and shoot like in ww2, at least this is my experience in ww2 mode when iam a new player against new players.
The grind issue is she was easily fixed, If it's 2 separate game modes The silver and xp Should be separate . Meaning and World War II you make less money and XP Being the vehicles are cheaper and easier to get. And Cold war should receive more money and more XP or XP the end of the vehicle's cost more and are harder to get . But both cold war and World War II earnings Do not combine together Playing as if you have 2 different accounts kind of.
Are there Israeli tanks in CW? Like the Merkava and some of the Patton Variants? If not there definitely needs to be. The Israelis are some of the best tank designers and tankers out there.
I'm tired of the ENTIRE team rushing one side of the map, and the enemy team is on the exact opposite side rushing 😑 I can't even be a marksman tank when the entire team rushes me and I die within 2 minutes or less of the game. Fuck cold war, it's an absolute joke.
I switched to CW with 70million back in March . Now i own Challenger 2, T72bu,Leopard 2a5 , m3 Bradley, and currently on grind to merkava 3/m1a2. Premium helps alot and getting season pass does too. You get a free CW premium , and like 2700 gold back. Fully upgrade whatever you are going to keep and the rest leave it like that.BTW im at 0s now but i can make a few million a day EZ. After switching to cold war ERA 3 WW2 is freaking boring
I'm honestly yet to play cold war. Still dirty at time & coin lost before it rolled out...once bitten I guess? But even WW2 is overly expensive for new players, grinding & fitting out is just an extensively long coin burn. I've known plenty that have started & just as soon stopped playing WoT.
I like WW2 mode, more tanks to grind, and every match is a mystery of which tanks you get to play against, like in CW you know exactly which tanks you wil be matched up acording to Era, i only play CW with premium tanks to earn silver and do challenges. Only downside with WW2 are overpowered SPG's playing T10 and get matched up with 3!!!!
I wish they would change WW2 to the same system like the cold war mode. No arty and no such big differences between high tier and low tier tanks. True vision is not really what I waited for. I like that how it works in the WW2 mode. But cold war has a problem with unbalanced tanks in era2. Premium tanks are much better than the standard tech tree tanks and a lot of people just driving around with premium heavy tanks. That makes it much more difficult to skill the shitty standard tech tree medium tanks.
They should add aviation into the game playable alltogether with tanks and pickable after reaching certain ammount of points in game similar to WT and of course AA systems to counter it... Without it the game looks kinda sad and unappealing.
I for one am sick and tired of being completely overwhelmed by the Molot or how the Wiesel comes out of nowhere and one-shot you or takes away so much of your HP's, and it's hard enough to track and hit at a distance but it's impossible to track and hit at close range. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone but I've invested a great deal of time and a good deal of funds to buy the gold for the tanks I want. Most of my team say Forget Cold War and stick to world War. Which I play a lot also but I prefer Modern tanks. I've called fora boycott to get WG attention but not enough to effect change.
Don't see a problem with the high costs in cw . WW2 was the same when grinding from the start, low earnings so we all bought prem tanks to supplement the grind . What's the difference ? Earn more in cw so pay more in cw . Its not supposed to be too easy
Have you noticed they are slowly moving ww2 tanks to modern. What's the point it's killing the game completely. Doesn't make sense having ww2 tanks in modern moving faster but slow in ww2
I REALLY LIKE COLD WAR im a "new" player with a new account and only played cold war so far on this account I had an account( on which i don't play anymore) where my highest tier was t IX (a T49) and also have played the WoT on pc ( relatively ok skill i guess) So i know the mechanics and the gameplay and whatever, im not a noob also i got some ps plus free packages directly from start, which really helps I had quite a bit silver from the get go, i dont know how much exactly, or where from, but i didnt even need it, SO I dont think that was an advantage YET why didnt i need? Well because of all these challenges or whatever, i got about 500k or more for the first few games per game For me it really was the easiest start into WoT ever, as i started for german line in cw i still have less than 100 games and am currently at the 773 with the m46a1 and m47 i did like 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10, and once even 11k damage; like every round. I have an 8.76 damage ratio on my m47. Yes in multiplayer, even though it felt like bots (idk could be that there was bots, but i don't think so, aren't bots even "tagged" as bots in way, or was that a different game?) I feel it balancing out a bit already on my 773 i only got a damage ratio of only 1.66 The true vision system is another thing that i like, enemys don't just spawn on me, i can see them at all times and be prepared also BIK GUN GUD NEUW TAENK GUD
Some people just don't want all this nonsense. Why isn't WW2 like the pc version and why do they want to be different? Why change something which works? If they want to implement cold war with guided missiles and weird moon vehicles, do that, but don't let WW2 suffer the consequences. And, wouldn't they fix the issues with Cold war when they just stop making simple upgrades only affordable for the rich?
Despite what players may say about CW and how “different” it is, the game is still either losing players or remains stagnant. Cold War hasn’t achieved its ultimate goal - that is, to bring in more players - so, in that regard, Cold War has been a complete and total failure. It’s been nearly a YEAR now since CW was launched and the playerbase has pretty much not increased at all. Imagine where the game would be right now if resources were taken away from Cold War and put into fixing the devastating damage caused by Update 6.0…
Well you delivered a gripping game sir. Wonderful to watch. I got the game for cold war, but do love to dip back into ww2 every now and then. Both modes are great, and I hope the community respects each other's preferences.
I was loving the cold war version until they introduced these new light tanks. Can't play WW2 for Arty, now cold war era one is ruined with swarms of light tanks that are untouchable. Everything wargaming comes out with that's good, just give them some time and they will ruin it. Cold war is tier 11,12 and 13 so new players don't need to begin there anyway I don't think.
Step 1: buy season pass. Step 2: play Step 3: 700 games played, all three nations with atleast one era 2 tank and surpluss of 12 mil credits, a month of premium and 4k gold. I seriously dont get it how you guys spent your credits.
I am a noob, it was impossible in Cold War until I bought a bunch of premiums and use them to grind silver usually about 4.5 mill a day over 8 hrs and I buy the specials you earn like a premium ww2 tank for 1200 gold and then I sell it for silver as I only keep t8 and above premiums for grinding silver or contracts in both ww2 and Cold War, coming form pub g I don’t mind spending a little to get around upgrades and help grind out dude tanks along both lines, quiet enjoy playing my polish tp60 bit costs 60k silver approx per game unless you have a ripper game.. I am leaning more towards Cold War as a new player as the silver earn is way better especially if your in top 3 and too much rng players in ww2 plus most my ww2 tanks are t8 meaning I have to play against x tanks wich I think is bullsh@t.. big difference from a t8 to. X tank so I hate the matchmaking in ww2… generally only play Cold War now I have a bmp3 and I baought the 59D wich cracks pretty good for a medium, still bringing the lines as I only started at Xmas, so happy to have my first non premium tier2 Cold War three days ago but I need to play my gi joe suite and other premiums now to earn silver too upgrade it, it’s pathetically slow to earn so for the centurion 9 and as a base tank it gets smashed in t2 Cold War, looking forward to selling it… it sucks balls hard! 5/1 was much better tank to play in teir 1, my advice is the t95e3 is best silver earber for me it suits aggressive players and rewards you roughly 300k silver per game, gif it of last season game pass, the wz111 was ok but seems too have slowed in speed and reload time or it feels that way, used to smash when first got it but seems not as good anymore, the wz122 earns good silver also… but been lucky last couple days with the 59d and getting over 300k silver per good game ie for a noob that’s 5k damage approx or 2nd or third mvp.. from a noob perspective love the game, enjoyed ww2 as the cheap premiums and silver earns were good too build my Cold War tank grind, sadly more often than not I only play my ww2 machine and 60tp as the rest are only t8 and useless against teir x wich is what I usually get matched against.. up matching two tees is bollocks and dumbest idea for us noobs as your jist cannon fodder most teir x lights have more HP than my poor little paladin or bellapron when I first played at Xmas I was matched more often than not with t8 etc but last month or soo I almost always get matched with teir x meaning I don’t okay ww2 anymore as it’s pointless and it’s silver earn even with premium boosts is useless against teir x tanks as your lucky to earn enough to cover your costs before you in advertantly explode into flames from a one shot of a light tank growing v your kid in the air, love cold war! And teally enjoy teir one now with the wz and tank killer has made it more challenging to roll out in your t95e3 before I was murdering mofos all day long now it is a challenge again the new lights and heavy’s can smascj you around hard now.. and even a bad game you earn 60k minimum silver way better than ww2… WW2 with its two teir up match making sucks balls hate it will only play my contract tanks and 60tp their and sell my other 40 tanks I think as the RNG artillery is too bullshit also you finally get a t8 match be having a ball tester of a game then get destroyed intantly by rng artillery when your own rng artillery are completely useless.. in a nutshell ww2 was a good intro but Cold War is by far more fun easier to earn silver and no artillery or bullshit two teir up match making the matchmaking killed ww2 for me as even with the premium silver earn it’s still poor earnings, the way ww2 is I want bother and sell my 40 odd tanks and just play Cold War as the challlege of playing a noob centurion 9 against fv4211 is far more fun then getting your teir 8’s destroyed all day long in Ww2 by teir x, I do enjoy playing my 60tp and machine and pumping chisel contract now so I will play them occasionally as the cost to play non premium tanks in ww3 is horrendous and not worthwhile, having a ball tearer of a game to lose 160k silver or more is seriously dumb and costly.. same game in a centurion 5/1 non premium coke war tank would earn you 300k plus silver and in a premium like wz122 oodles of silver.. basically ten good games in Cold War and you can up grade another non premium in your grind line… Just my veiws as a noob (3 months and $600au. Spent ) owned 100 tanks odd now have around 60 all crews to approx average 5/6 talents, completed two season passes and bought most tanks when discounted 70/90% played a lityle then sold, kept all Cold War tanks so far except grind line as sell the last to buy the next, grinding all lines in Cold War when not grinding silver for my premiums I am retired Aussie and play 8-18 hrs a day, in between bbq, jack daniels and cigarette breaks
CW is doing very well at this moment in time from what I see daily. For me personally CW is a break from the arty and invisibility which wind me up at times, a fully rendered tank disappearing in front of my eyes has always got on my tats. I played my 2nd account and did really well on CW playing stock m46 and earned the silver to by m47. GW gives more than enough CW premiums to earn massive sums very very easily. The negativity has been spread by the older wot players unable to adapt and reliant on outdated mechanics. Saying all that though iv spent a shit load on CW. New Players only need to finish 1 season in ww2 to set yourself up for CW then use CW to fund both modes. Ps GG
Not a massive fan of TV dunno why though because I play WT tanks think it's because wot has always had its own vision system & I'm just so used to it My main problems with CW is having to play tanks I've already played in ww2 & the insane xp & silver needed to get anywhere I just can't be bothered so keep to messing around in ww2
The Point is Not, that There Beeing 2 Game modes in WoTC, you are right multiple Others Games have that. But: ober Games have way bigger Playerbases! Like AAA Game, WoTC has Not that mutch Players and been spit Up! Allso No Others Game with tow Game modes have an Match making System with difetend Tiers, so spliting wlthe Comunity efects WW2 alot! I live in Germany, and when i Come Home from Work, and Start playing on the European Server i'll Just cant Play T8!!! 8 Out Off 10 Games hoi have to Play in a T10 matchup, i mean on the base its Not that big Problem, to have +-2 but iff you Beeing botom Tier Like 80% of the Time its Not fun annymore, and that is the Bigest Problem... At least in my opinion iff you Play CW it simply dosnt efect you that mutch As Long as you Play a Top Tank For its eara... Witch is the next Point starting Out Grinding in CW is Just Horific....

I love cold war. It's made premium tanks in WW2 redundant.ive been playing this game for 7 years so ready to move over to Cold war
I started cold war with 20m of silver and sold a lot of WW2 tanks to keep upgrading. Doing this, MA worked out.
Love playing cold war, due to true vision and no arty!!
No Arty yet we shall see if it stays like that.
@@ad5034 I think it will because if they add artillery tanks they would have the aim Model for tank destroyer
Same here man!
When they trialed tv into ww2 it absolutely sucked especially for the LT and TD lines with you being in full cover behind bushes you could still be spotted or on el haluf as most tank normally go off to set up on each ridge line each team was being picked off right at the start
I can see why they wanted the tv in cw with the missile mechanics and smoke grenades and went in that direction
But like you stated cw is fps version of wotc but ww2 is a rts and have different mechanics on how they operate with how people play
Ww2 can be a fast paced mode where players can have a choice to push and put the other side on the back foot and it can end in seconds if it’s a bad play or a massive turn around that takes the whole match where cw is slower paced and everyone camps not willing to push hoping for the new players rushing in as bait to pull the other side out and the slightest bit of damage they hide healing themselves whilst driving away (they really need to adjust that you can only heal is if your stationary and any movement pauses it)
But props to wg making cw into a pvp and pve I play more pve due to the bots do give it the ww2 feel where there is conflict, risk vs reward and the face to face combat instead of being pinged from the other side of the map
I’m going to be ww2 over cw due to that’s where I find it more enjoyable, having a laugh when platooning and balanced in the tanks having more variety and the ways they play
But for cw if they implemented a 3rd mode was a ww2 mode where they remove cv, missiles, smoke grenades and the tank repair I’d be more down with that and no need to create a t11-13 for the ww2
As cw stands now I’m going to hate myself in saying this it does need artillery (they keep the same ww2 mechanics) just to force camping players who stay in one area and give LT more to do in spotting
Hopefully there won’t be a divide the the community but the rate it’s going that bridge is gonna crumble and no one from either side is going to repair it
Great video, very valid points.
I have BMP3 but I don't do well in it. I once got behind a challenger 2 and killed him with the autocannon
You make no sense make too much silver they need to nerf and then bring down the cost of tanks. It is perfectly balanced as is
Began playing console 7 years ago. Just wanted to see what Cold War looked like, never even logged into it.
It’s good, give it a try 👍🏼
True vision bring it to live this game.
CW is great something different then ww2
Just started playing cold war about 3 weeks ago I like it so far
I sold all WW2 tank's to only play cold war. True sight make's it better in my opinion
Really well played, fantastic game. 👍
Much appreciated 🙂
It's virtually mandatory to have premium CW tanks to make enough silver to upgrade the tech tree lines in any reasonable time. Therefore, there is a huge incentive to grind out the free tank ops.
A new player just needs to get a cw premium and voila, 200k per game.
Is this game available for pc?
There’s a lot of unfounded hate for the game mode. I love it so I play it, hopefully as the channel grows so will the exposure of the game mode.
The lack of tank variety is abysmal in cold war
True, it’s still early days for the mode, it’ll get better with time.
It is better now
More to come too
I think they should bring back tiers 1 and 2 and lower the cost of the upgrades in Cold War. I'm not a big fan of true vision but it's not really a deal breaker for me I'm just used to WW2 vision mechanics
The economy is exactly what’s wrong! The gameplay is great!
Yea I want the missile to come down on the target. I need to experiment some more.
How many years does it take to grind for a lot of silver and xp to get the challenger 2 main battle tank?
If you play 10-15 battles every day it'll take a few months to a top Era 3 vehicle. Also depends on how much you're prepared to spend on the game, i.e premium time and premium tanks
@@Rikitikitave I was aiming to get the challenger 2 just to make sure it looked like as though it was a present day
You can preview vehicles in the garage prior to earning them.
@@Rikitikitave right…
Easiest line to grind 💪
Do you use stealth perks and equipment for this tank?
I’ve got a fully skilled crew with all the concealment skills as well as the camp net equipment. Lights in CW have very good concealment.
Heck of a finish 👍
Now there are
I'm tired of the ENTIRE team rushing one side of the map, and the enemy team is on the exact opposite side rushing 😑 I can't even be a marksman tank when the entire team rushes me and I die within 2 minutes or less of the game. Fuck cold war, it's an absolute joke.
Bahaha good ol circle jerk
Rush too maybe m8
I switched to CW with 70million back in March . Now i own Challenger 2, T72bu,Leopard 2a5 , m3 Bradley, and currently on grind to merkava 3/m1a2. Premium helps alot and getting season pass does too. You get a free CW premium , and like 2700 gold back. Fully upgrade whatever you are going to keep and the rest leave it like that.BTW im at 0s now but i can make a few million a day EZ. After switching to cold war ERA 3 WW2 is freaking boring
Well played good game fair play.
Its way too fucking expensive. One million credits for the first gun upgrade of the first tank?!
Cold war is a scam
I got like 37 mill to so I been playing since basically came out lol 😂 I spent probably billions in hard earned silver
!!! Everytime i play normal mode i just grt obliterated cause i keep getting spotted for no reason.
Cold war is just wayy easier for me
I agree Cold War mode is very expensive, that is hurting the game
GG bro nice bmp3 tactics
I hope more WW2 player's will come over to cold war. It's hard getting a game in tier 3 because everyone is on WW2
I like pie
Have you noticed they are slowly moving ww2 tanks to modern. What's the point it's killing the game completely. Doesn't make sense having ww2 tanks in modern moving faster but slow in ww2
I REALLY LIKE COLD WAR
im a "new" player with a new account and only played cold war so far on this account
I had an account( on which i don't play anymore) where my highest tier was t IX (a T49) and also have played the WoT on pc ( relatively ok skill i guess)
So i know the mechanics and the gameplay and whatever, im not a noob
also i got some ps plus free packages directly from start, which really helps
I had quite a bit silver from the get go, i dont know how much exactly, or where from, but i didnt even need it, SO I dont think that was an advantage YET
why didnt i need? Well because of all these challenges or whatever, i got about 500k or more for the first few games per game
For me it really was the easiest start into WoT ever, as i started for german line in cw
i still have less than 100 games and am currently at the 773
with the m46a1 and m47 i did like 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10, and once even 11k damage; like every round. I have an 8.76 damage ratio on my m47. Yes in multiplayer, even though it felt like bots (idk could be that there was bots, but i don't think so, aren't bots even "tagged" as bots in way, or was that a different game?)
I feel it balancing out a bit already on my 773 i only got a damage ratio of only 1.66
The true vision system is another thing that i like, enemys don't just spawn on me, i can see them at all times and be prepared
also
BIK GUN GUD
NEUW TAENK GUD
For me the light tanks have way too much hp Past era 1. It aint right.
Cold war is a lifesaver for w.o.t. console. WW2 is boring who the hell want's to get shot by invisible enemies? NO THANKS & I'M A 10 YEAR VETERAN
I totally agree man, I hate the dumb spotting system in ww2 mode
The only been out 7 years lol
Step 1: buy season pass.
Step 2: play
Step 3: 700 games played, all three nations with atleast one era 2 tank and surpluss of 12 mil credits, a month of premium and 4k gold.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the game, 👆🏼was quite read 😂
Ps GG

Not a massive fan of TV dunno why though because I play WT tanks think it's because wot has always had its own vision system & I'm just so used to it
My main problems with CW is having to play tanks I've already played in ww2 & the insane xp & silver needed to get anywhere I just can't be bothered so keep to messing around in ww2
Everything was good how it was as far as firing loading consumables ect graphics ok but everything else was good
You did GG at the end to yourself pfff and people say that i'm narcissistic.
GG..
Good game
Pay to win game.
It's a yolo fest
