I wish this had all of what Oliver said about Iam after Luke's comments. He said that if he didn't make it Iam was his guy. Also said that while his dad was in the hospital that Iam was calling his dad and talking to him (I think he said every day). It was really touching and you could see how close of a bond they have.

Oliver also said that Iam would talk with his dad for 2 hours at a time while he was in the hospital.

My favorite moment was when Iam took he’s Salusalu/Lei and gave it to Oliver. That’s love and respect in our culture.

I think this song was picked for Iam and Olivers to show their close friendship with each other on American Idol and that all these memories were capture with photos for a lifetime of being best friends and at one point they must part but at the end be coming home to success together someday! The sad part both of them had hopes, but knew Oliver was going to be voted out. It seems that Iam was given a beautiful Flower Lei by his aunt but at the end when Iam got vote in the top five he presented his beautiful flower to Oliver that how close they were as best friend. In Hawaii a lei is a common symbol of love, friendship, celebration, honor or greeting. In essence, it is a symbol of Aloha. Listen to the lyric of the song and picture them singing about their friendship on American Idol. So so special moment for both of them love you Iam and Oliver. They could be the next Simon & Garfunkel. 😍❤🤟🙏
Oliver n Iam created a friendship in this journey from the beginning n it is going to last a life time. This duets is the best I've ever heard in a long time. They both mesmerizing n complimenting each other's vocals so well. I am very sad that Oliver is out. But my wish n hope that they will collaborate in the near future. They are good together. Great job both Oliver n Iam.
Their harmonies are amazing, and their voices complement each other so beautifully. Their friendship, their brotherhood, is also beautiful and I'm certain this isn't the last we've heard of the two of them together.

And yes, Oliver said many kind things about Iam that were edited out for TV. He talked about how if he didn't go forward he wanted Iam to win it all. He talked about how Iam would call his dad in the hospital and would talk to him for hours. True brotherhood. And lastly, please see the end of the show when Iam placed his lei around Oliver's neck. This was a beautiful performance from both of them! I feel like Oliver really took into consideration things people were saying and allowed himself to shine more. His voice is so gorgeous! I’m so sad he went home! My fellow Tennesseean. Iam sounded lovely as always too! Nice rendition of this song as well! ❤ I feel like the placement of Oliver’s performances were the show trying to get him votes to keep him in the show bc they knew he deserved to be there.
