You are on the verge of 10k subscribers for the Kleeman channel - so exciting! I found you (main channel) when you made the video doing a recap of the first 7 months of building the TH-cam yacht and have been hooked watching you mow, build the timber bridge, dig the pond, burn logs, mill logs, build the goat barn, fix the pond, move the bell tower, bring the 555 to life, and get back to the TH-cam yacht as you're able. Enjoying this side channel too. Cheering you on every step of the way! (And I've said it before, but the bell tower is still my favorite video!) Keep up the great work, and thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Cap’n that sure beats a carpenters square and a bandanna tied to a tree trunk! Glad to see the Whoppa Choppa is working just like you planned. Paired with the trusty 755 it’s handy as a pocket on a shirt!
It's always a good day when you get off shift from the FD and you have notifications of new Captain and Kleeman videos! I always look forward to tagging along on your adventures.
And the building of the Kleeman empire continues...... 😃 There are some jobs you just can't do by yourself, great to see the Admiral out in the woods !! So this fills in the blank space on your jobs to do list..... 😂
Nice to have another piece of property next to yours, already looking forward to the new road and bridge. Nice to see the Admiral out and giving her approval. 👍
The bushhog is a great tool in the backup mode. The most dangerous thing is limbs smacking you on the head after you bend them back with the roll bar. I had one put a big gash in my head one day. My dad used to cut trees up to about 12 inches with a beefier chopper and a 100hp tractor. He broke a few main shafts over the years too.
What I like to do is just get a couple thousand feet of polyester string and a few pieces of rebar or even just wood sticks and just string a "fence line" down through your markers.. then you have a really good idea about the feel of the property, especially while you're doing work. Get bright pink or yellow string
Sweet job mike. You did it how a servaor woild do it! Its easier to do it by gps. I used to be a Forester's apprentice.( Forester 1) and i used to set up logging units and find boundaries . Ans yes most well have a copper peg a bout 3 ft tall on the corners. And you can do it bye maps , compass, and flagging tape! How you did it i bet you with in 2 to 3 feet! We used a big magnet to find the pins in the ground
@@Kleeman1 hey mike go to the auditor office and get a map of the land you brought! They should have a map of ot or of its land help by dept of ag or interior! They well have the GPS spots! And you can down load a GPS on a smart phone to find them aswell
I used an app to help me find my property pins/markers. It was free for 30 days and it worked but I’ll be darned that I can’t remember what it was called! Big help, Wingdwolf, big help!
Excellent acquisition! Unless there is some desirable plants you would want to keep, prevention usually beats bush wacking. Next spring, once soil temperatures reach the mid 60s, apply Triclopyr according to directions. Glyphosate just hasn’t worked very well on the hardier weeds and undesirable shrubs.
I like this channel just as much as your other channel. That's great you were able to acquire more property that actually butts up to what you already had. Land is always a good investment. Congratulations. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
This is a good video for those people with dreams of becoming a land owner without paying full price on every service but want good user experience as well.
That's what you call being on the level. That's a nice transit (or is it theodolite)? From what I remember you you did well, plus you had a nicer looking rod (wo)man than the one's I used to work with!
An old steel fence T post in the ground and then slip a piece of white pvc over, either 2" or 2 1/2 fits nice, and you can see the corners pretty easily. Thats how i mark field tile outlets, neighbors are taking out division fences and leaving a few across to keep weeds/trees down
Hi Mike. I don't know why but land surveying has always seemed like a big mystery to me. I guess it makes sense when you are doing it but reading a survey's hieroglyphics is confusing. Watching you makes it a bit less confusing.
i recently had my property surveyed and well marked, turns out is goes up back a little more than i knew about. guy said a lot of ppls markers around here are off some. small town with little online info unlike some places.
You da man. So, do we still call you Captain, or just Mister on this channel? Who cares, right. As long as they don't call you late for dinner. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Nice work.
Even AC says to buy the property next to yours when it goes up for sale so you don’t end up with someone next door that you don’t want. At the very least it gives you a buffer to that less than desirable person.
Depends when the survey was done and who did it. Sometimes its stones, sometimes it whatever the old timers had to jam in the ground when they were staking their claim.
I do not get it, are you taking out the first bridge and then build another bridge? Or are you making having two bridges. Lastly, what is wrong with the first bridge?
The man of many talents show us his surveying skills.
It's a handy skill set!

Congratulations on acquiring new property Captain Kleeman
Thanks!
nice to see the Admiral on this one, can't wait to see you build the new bridge, great video Mike 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌

Very informative process in showing how to find the property lines. Staying back a little so there is no surprises with an incorrect survey.
Congratulations on your new property. Should be a great addition.
It is absolutely incredible what that Whoppa Choppa can do. I am in process of buying land and I truly appreciate what I learn watching your videos.

I think i may like the kleeman channel more than the captain channel. If that is possible. Great job!!!
Lol thanks!
Great helper. I heard no complaints when you said I'm going way over yonder.

Congratulations on the expansion of the Kleeman’s homestead. Always nice to have more mushroom hunting ground.
Gotta love buying the property next door 🚪!!!

Very accurate for seat of the pants surveying. Well done, captain and better half. Congrats on the new property.

Hello Mike. These tidbits are great! Are these posted as often as the main channel? I don't get many of them and I am subscribed. Have good days!
Sneaky 1am upload at my end so an even sneakier 1am view.
🤣🤣
I'm happy for you getting the land.I watch all of your videos. But on this video,I missed something what was you trying to do.
i recently had my property surveyed and well marked, turns out is goes up back a little more than i knew about. guy said a lot of ppls markers around here are off some. small town with little online info unlike some places.
Definitely happens from time to time.
They don't make it easy to find pins, that's for sure. We're still searching for a few.
I was shocked at the price of having a property surveyed. $8,000 just to mark the four corners of a 5 acres piece of land.
It can get pretty outrageous

Not as accurate as this.
Don’t they stake property markers with medal pins??
