I learned through a different Biblical video that Bereshit mean "In beginning" or "In a beginning", because there is no "the". But regardless, this class is really eye opening. As an ex-catholic, I am so thankful that Father Yehovah is opening my eyes to the truth. Thank you Yeshua 🙏🙏

I look forward to each day to listen and study. Wow - what an epiphany! Your teaching that "In the Beginning" could have been at any place in eternity from the first day was a revelation to me. I then saw YHWH as a painter (my dad painted) hovering over a canvas - a dark canvas with nothing painted on it until the painter which was YHWH, so that it was formless and empty except for the "deep". What a revelation!!!

What you explained about the light I never heard before. The words do have different meanings and the interpretations don't take all of that into account: how in different languages different words used in certain places convey a completely different meaning. So far, very illuminating.

this goes deep, i love it. it's disappointing that English translations will use the same word that Hebrews use different words for. Like the two different lights, I can't believe they don't make no attempt to differentiate between those when reading a bible in English. But I am sure there are endless examples of stuff like that. I trust God knows and is over all that too, and it serves a purpose to the good of all those that Love the Lord. Amen, and thank you for this teaching. Looking forward to going deep.

I am loving this series so much!
I will say, I was surprised to hear the amount of discussion about the earth rotating with the level of detail and discipline each word is being studied here… is there somewhere in the Bible that specific says the earth rotates or that the earth is round/sphere? When I’ve done this study myself, I haven’t come across any, and in fact I’ve come across more evidence to the idea of a flat earth (earth in a dome/tent firmament, with the sun/moon/stars set inside it, which rotate above the earth), and that the earth is a circle with a face (like a watch), not a sphere/ball - all based on deep word studies. Would be genuinely curious to hear your thoughts Tom?

I am just in the beginning of this teaching (13:00min), but I have a question: Do you believe in the trinity? Do you believe in the Athanasium? As I dealt with this theme I found out that more than 500 verses in the bible prove that the doctrine of the trinity is false. The Bible always makes a difference between YHWH and Jesus. YHWH is God and Jesus is the messiah.

The Hebrew word for Dome in Genesis 1:6 (sometimes translated as Firmament or Expanse) is "Raqiya" ( רקיע ) It is described as a hard, solid structure which supports the waters above. Have you with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass? (Job 37:18)

  • @francevenezia
    @francevenezia 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Elsewhere in the Bible, it specifically INCLUDES the heavens and earth as having been made, or started and finished, in six evening/days, or 24 hr periods, and not the earth and water languishing unformed for an undetermined amount of time, suggesting possibly eons of time. The clear teachings of Scripture is that the Heavens and Earth and all that were in them were, started and finished, or created in SIX days. Couldn't "the beginning" in Genesis 1:1 be understood as the beginning of the FIRST DAY, the first (day), or number 1, certainly denoting the "beginning" of something. So when we are told "In the beginning", I understand this to mean "In the beginning" of the first evening/day, God created the heavens, the earth, and the deep, or waters, and then went on, on that same first day, to create Light, and separate Light from Darkness, ALL ON THE FIRST DAY WITHOUT GAPS OF TIME. The whole teaching of Scripture is based upon a six literal days of starting and finishing the entirety of Creation. Secondly, by saying there could be eons of time between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2, that suggested God somehow rested or waited before His day 7 rest, which is nowhere taught. And Thirdly, God was telling Moses the details of Creation. If there was some great gap of time between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 wouldn't God have included that very important detail in His account given to Moses. If God were to have created heavens, earth, and the deep or waters, and then languished for some unknown reason, to take up where He had left off a billion years later, or 100 yrs, or one year later, wouldn't God have surely included what would be a historical fact in His account to Moses? I choose to believe God started, and finished the Creation of Earth and Heaven in six days as Scripture teaches. I see no "gap" between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2, but that the CJB states that heaven, earth, the deep or water, light and darkness were all created "in the beginning" on the first day. Why must the waters always be muddied, and doubt cast upon the simplest of texts?
Exodus 20:11-13 (KJV) FOR IN SIX DAYS THE LORD MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed
    Exodus 31:17
"It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; FOR IN SIX DAYS THE LORD MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed."

Scripture supports gap. Not the other way around. Verse 1 could've been the beginning of day one, but scripturally it is not.

Tom uses the Complete Jewish Bible by David Stern. He uses that because it re-introduces Jewish/Hebraic concepts back into the translation. For instance, typical translations say "Jesus Christ". But, both those terms have Greek origins. By saying "Yeshua HaMaschiach you get acquainted with His actual Hebrew Name and title. BTW, "Christ" and "Maschiach" both mean "Messiah" or "anointed one". I hope this helps give you a little clarity! George

    Has anybody caught Genesis 1:11-12-13?
And God said, Let the earth bring fourth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
And the earth brought fourth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
And the evening and the morning were the third day.
Didnt Jesus died and rose the THIRD DAY and he became our first FRUIT?
    Coincidence??? I think not 🙏

I feel the same way as you! Tom is a great Teacher and I really like him, but I just can't understand why all these teachers preach that the earth spins. I myself haven't found one thing in the scriptures to lead me to believing the earth spins or moves at all, but have found many things to point to the earth not moving at all. And how would the sun and the moon sit still for almost a day if the earth is what's spinning and traveling around the sun. I also can't see it being possible that we would still see the same stars and constellations after thousands of years neither. Just some questions I can't see being explained when using the spinning globe model.

A day with the Lord is as 1000 years. Many would argue this over 24 hour creation days. You could go either way, but one thing perks my interest. The 6 days plus rest is prophetic. 6000 years modern earth, 1000 year millenial reign. That may allude to the creation days as being 6000 years of formation. He establishes the end from the beginning .

First I love the videos, but have we gotten the beginning of a day wrong? Today I went back and read Genesis. I’ve always taken that evening was the beginning of the day. Today I looked at again. Gen 1:3. God said let there be light. Called the light day and darkness night and the was evening and morning, one day. What if it meant First Work or create then evening and then morning as a day. Create in the day then evening to morning = a day. To me this makes sense what it meant by and there was evening and there was morning. Please share if there is other knowledge than what I’m thinking here.

The chapter titles of the Tanaka were actually changed by Jewish scholars when it was translated into the Greek Septuagint in Egypt back in the 3rd century BC. Gentiles had nothing to do with the change. I was disappointed that no mention was given, either, of the creation of plants appearing before the sun in Genesis; as an apologist I have always found this to be a topic of scrutiny.

Because the scriptures later on say God gives th growth, not the sun, the sun is not a source of life as the scientists alude, we see this in revelation were God says He will remove the sun and He will be our light so clearly the sun has no life qualities in itself, Jesus cursed the fig tree and it died, if the sun indeed was a life giver the fig tree should revive, clearly the life the plants use to grow comes from God Himself but He manifests it in the presence of the suns light, if the sun gave life humans should not be dying but we are

You said we won't see Yahuahs name until much later in the Torah? Not true. Right before Yah breath the Ruach (breath) into man we see His name. ‭ "And יהוה Elohim formed the man out of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils breath of lives. And the man became a living being." Berĕshith (Genesis)‬ ‭2:7‬ ‭
Then we see man calling on His Name in ch 4 ‬‬ "And to Shĕth, to him also a son was born. And he called his name Enosh. Then it was begun to call on the Name of יהוה." Berĕshith (Genesis)‬ ‭4:26‬ ‭
