this game is the most diverse I've ever seen in terms of lines. they have 2 ways of saying one line, and most of them are simple tone changes no one would notice, but their subconscious would appreciate how the lines never really get old. I honestly love how many lines there are, because you really don't feel the need to turn on your mic and say "fleshpound! group up!" because the characters do it for you. or you don't need to ask everyone how they're doing ammo and health wise, because again, the characters already do it. it gives the game a lot more livelihood and you feel like you're playing with actual humans because you never notice the same line play twice. I also love how, with the Bone Crusher, which ever way your bat is swinging when you get a kill, the zed goes that way in perfect sync with the swing. every time i play this game i get a new appreciation for the attention to detail the developers gave us.

My favorite villain ever. He’s so witty, he thinks what he’s doing is justified, and it’s believable that someone could think like this; he’s so love-to-hate like a villain should be, and he’s badass. Perfect writing.
I remember when the versus mode came out and I was playing on Zeds and became the Patriarch on the boss round and wrecked the other team because they hadn't ever fought the Patriarch before. It felt amazing!
