I'm not a huge fan of the life book, as you said, it's a lot of work, and there's no way I'm going to do all the research to backfill it. The idea book is perfect for me, I'll take notes in one and keep my modified bullet list in another.
I've been using the B6 Slim Jibun Techo Biz this year and really like it. I'm trying to decide between using another B6 or move up to the A5 next year. I like the extra room of the A5 but I like the portability of the B6. And I got the same cover you did and am not crazy about the pen loop but I love it other than that!
Since I am using an A5 notebook at the moment, the A5 slim actually feels small and portable to me. I can't wait for it to start ... I decided to send the cover back and save for a leather one.
I had one of these two years ago, then tried a Hobonichi and having the Tomoe River paper made all the difference for me. However I enjoyed the colour coding in the Jibun.
Yes, the Tomoe River paper is absolutely great to work with. I feel like I would struggle with using all the daily pages in the Hobonichi Cousin. So I'll try the Jibun Techo and reevaluate next September (or if it doesn't work even earlier).
@@seemownay Ok, probably best to have it move to someone that will. 😁 I am a hobonichi girl. I'm going with the A6 English techo this year. Still undecided about my cover. I believe I am going to order tomorrow. So I better make up my mind. Lol. I am glad you found your planner peace.
I recently purchased an undated plannner on aliexpress with a similar layout. The paper probably isn't as nice, but it's a good, inexpensive way to see if I will like it before investing in the Jibun Techo.

Yes, the idea book is a great addition to the Jibun Techo. Thanks so much for the comment, Laurie.
My Jibun Techo arrived today too. It will be fun to see how you use it. I have not used one.
I cannot wait to start using it in December.

The "regular" Jibun Techo (not the Biz) is on Tomoe River paper. In case you weren't aware. :)
I believe the life book is supposed to be used over years, so you would have more than just this year to use it.
Yes, I think so too. But after a closer look I just don't think I would use it enough to justify keeping it.

Love seeing your videos and your newest haul. I got the A5 slim size and am looking for leather cover options as well.
Thank you so much! I decided to save up for either a sojourner or a foxy fix perfect fit cover. I'm still undecided though.
I just ordered a cover for mine from HandStitchedLeatherT on etsy. I'm hearing great things about them and can't wait to get mine!

Yes, that is definitely a great thing to do. I just used an A5 notebook and recreated the weekly spread in there. Let me know how it works for you!
What’s the name of the aliexpress planner that you got? Or do you Maybe have the link 😊
I would keep the life book in an unused notebook with the last filled idea book
Great idea! I decided I won't be using the Life book enough to justify keeping it.
Have yu sold the cover as yet? I may be interested Julierose
I'm so sorry for the late reply. Yes, I sold the cover!
