Their discography is so diverse and huge. They also have an ongoing storyline called the BTS universe. There's even a webtoon on it. And their messages of self love is inspired by Jungian psychology. They include references from Greek mythology, the Bible and so much more. It's such an interesting journey

Dynamite is a smash hit, it went #1 on Billboard HOT 100 as soon as the song dropped and it stayed in the top 25 in the past 6 six months. A lot of US radio had the song played heavily in their rotations even here in Canada radio it's played often.
Bts are real genuine artists in every way. Music and live performing is their live. It doesn't matter witch genre, they nail it al! They are way better than Michael Jackson in his glory-days. And i do know for sure because i saw him 6 times at a live concert. Their lyrics and superb live performances are top notch. I recommend you to begin with their story: who is BTS? So you know their background story. And then you can choose what you want, official music videos or live performances or just the song with the lyrics ( english subtitles). But just one warning: you'll get hooked!!!

Bts is the biggest group in the world, the are 3 rappers and 4 vocalist, the write, produced, make beats and all dance. The have 3 nr 1 at Billboard 100 and 5 nr 1 Albums at Billboard 200, the have broke Mchael Jacksson record and Beatles records. This is there all first english song
Dude ~ you have no idea what you have been missing in your life... BTS is going to take over you ~ def watch their NPR Tiny Desk Concert. They sing Dynamite and it’s incredible. You must check out videos for Dope, Mic Drop, Boy with Luv (w/Halsey), DNA, Fake Love, War of Hormones, Boy in Luv, Danger, and Fire. I also love Anpanman ~ there is a performance from The Today Show of it that’s really good. Their dance practice videos have millions of views (because the practices are phenomenal), and my personal fav is the dance practice video for Baepsae (Silver Spoon). Enjoy! This song took them to the Grammy's in 2020 as the only Asian boy group to be nominated as best duo/group. Although they didn't take home the bacon, it is still an achievement for a 7-year-old KPOP idols who came from a relatively small company. This song debuted number 1 in billboard 100, billboard 200 and billboard global.

Their Tiny Desk mini concert is the thing to watch if you love harmonization ... they are literally known for that among many other things. My go to recommendation to people who aren’t familiar with BTS is their music video for On: kinetic manifesto to see what they’re really capable of. I dare you to resist loving it.

Hi. This song was dedicated to the World and The Army. To bring Joy because of the pandemic. This song is the only song they wrote and sang in English and as well as Their Tribute to MJ. Disco Vibe, and 80's is what I see.

As several other people have mentioned, this is their only English song, so please put closed captions on when watching any of their other music. Their lyrics are one of the things they are best known for, and Dynamite is pretty different from most of their discography. They didn't write Dynamite, hence the comparably lighter lyrics. They usually do write their own lyrics and are heavily involved in the song writing and production of their music.
I personally recommend On Kinetic Manifesto, Black Swan, and Fake Love.
Yass, this song is really great! Dynamite went to #1 on Hot 100 multiple weeks. Hope you will react to BTS from now on. They are versatile diff genres.

Warning: an essay ahead
I understand how You feel listening to this for the first time, and it is not overreacting! I’m a piano performance major myself and I’d say I enjoy most of the popular music, but the first thing that attracted me towards BTS once I discovered them was simply musical QUALITY, in all of their songs, ALL. And they’ve put out a lot of music since 2013 (full length albums, EPs, most members even have solo mixtapes released, others are working on them currently). I started loving genres that I didn’t understand nor appreciated before (being a classically trained pianist lol), and only because BTS does it so well. BTS is basically their own genre by now, so they barely are considered K-pop anymore, but they are Koreans and sing in Korean, so... (that is currently a big debate how to label their music). One way or another, they have broadened my musical understanding and experience so much in only a few months and I promise You are gonna love music even more once / if You get more into BTS 💜 Honestly, just let ARMYs know what kind of music do You prefer and we will suggest the songs, cause they do almost all the genres. Similar to Dynamite (very colorful and literally pop songs) would be DNA and Boy with Luv.
A few important things about BTS that are not really covered in popular media (unless You're an ARMY and get into it Yourself). First, while being basically the biggest artists in the world and bringing this amazing music to everyone, they very rarely sing typical love songs about girls (except some very early stuff back in 2013-2014). If it's a love song, it's most likely for ARMY, family or friends. Most of their songs are very socially conscious, usually covering topics like mental health, self love, children abuse, bullying, social injustices, even political statements and comments about education system, relationships between generation, identity, etc. Their latest album BE literally speaks about the pandemic that we are currently going through, giving the feeling of being understood and validated with a positive attitude in the end, that everything will be OK. All the members participated very closely (even more than always) writing and producing all the songs in this album, so it is very vulnerable and also a closer look into their lives and feelings. I would strongly suggest to listen to this album first, it's not long and also the most recent.
Second, while being great performers on stage with their mind blowing live performances, amazing singing, rapping and dancing, they do a lot of other things that make us call them not just a successful boy band, but one of the best artists in this century. Having such successful careers they use this platform to literally bring the message of comfort and healing with their music. Besides constantly donating for important causes, they have spoken at the UN twice, created anti-violence campaigns for children, one of the recent art projects was called CONNECT BTS, connecting 5 cultural cities and creating exhibitions all over the world. They use a lot of art, literature, classical music references in their songs and videos, also have an ongoing story arc through their music videos, called BTS Universe.
Third, Dynamite is a fun disco song that was released with literally this one purpose - to brighten the day of everyone during the pandemic, to make people want to dance and sing along. But most of BTS songs are very very deep, so if You're watching their music videos, make sure to turn on CC to have an English translation. If the song doesn't have an official MV, best website to go for translations is doolsetbangtan. While music is truly very strong in BTS, another half of the experience is their poetic lyrics and visuals in the music videos. Taking it all in can be a bit too much at first, but once You get used to it, other artists start to seem a bit lazy for not doing everything like this and not giving our brain an overflow of art 😁
A few suggestions from their live performances that I recently enjoyed a lot: Tiny Desk Concert, MMA 2020, BTS week's performances on the Tonight show starring Jimmy Fallon, Life Goes On & Dynamite performance on Late late show with James Corden.
Their official music videos are on the Big Hit Labels channel on TH-cam and Bangtan Bombs (behind the scenes), dance practices, video logs, etc. stuff is on BangtanTV.

The word I think you are trying to say is “transitions.” The lyrics to their music are brilliant. They go from hip-hop, to rap, to pop. They have one of the few diverse repertoires in music.
They have the most incredibly diverse discography. You will find everything from full on rap, to R&B, to ballads to EDM and pretty much everything in between. It is impossible to claw them as just pop - they are so much more. Hope you react to more - remember to turn on the captions for all their official MV’s - they all have subs. Dynamite is their only fully English song.
You should watch the Dynamite B-side. Lots of outtakes and very funny.

They have a diverse discography. I'd recommend Black Swan & Mic Drop...you'll notice how different each video is. They are extremely talented and they produce their own music. If you want hear them live I would TINY DESK :)...other great performances would be the ones in MMA or MAMA (2016,2017, 2018 ,2019, 2020 :))

Also, if you want to hear gorgeous harmonies, check out the live version of BTS singing “Your Eyes Tell.” Remember to turn out English captions. **allbts member have their own special characteristic with their difference but make a great harmony whether between rap-vocal line and between each vocalline or rapline.. they sooo good especially on live performance hor they combine between each different style..
Based on your reaction, I highly recommend more music reactions, esp. BTS. They have such a deep and diverse discography. What genres and styles do you prefer? That could help us point you in the direction of some specific songs.... in general, Blood Sweat and Tears, Black Swan, and Mic Drop. For vocals in specific, House of Cards, The Truth Untold, and Butterfly - these 3 only have lyric videos and live performance videos.... you could perhaps do a pair with the lyric video and then performance to get the full experience since a majority of their songs are Korean with bits of English (Dynamite being the main exception) and others are in Japanese. The official MVs will have English subtitles for their channel..... but performances may or may not have subs and will probably not be from their channel unless it is a dance practice video or Bangtan Bomb (a behind the scenes they put out for performance preparations and such).
