They did the performance again on MAMA's 2019 with Jungkook's hat trick and everything and Army screaming like crazy, it was insane! They did it again this year for their online concert.

When people see jimin in this and they are used to their new music they are usually surprised like you guys😂 Back then jimin said he felt like he had to be manly but over the years he's gotten more comfortable with being himself. Jimin "had to be manly" because that was the hip-hop concept when they first debuted, they each had a "role." As BTS evolved with more success and expanded their music genres, all of them including Jimin were also able to evolve and take on different personas at each comeback.

They debuted as a hip hop group, not a rapgroup😅 jk was singing and rapping
They debuted as a kpop group with hip hop influence (most guy groups at that time were). They were SUPPOSED to debut as a hip hop group, with a different member line-up. The original line up shifted, as pre-debut members left and some of the vocalists and dancers came in. But the BTS that debuted was always meant to be Kpop, although their style has obviously changed and continues to.

If you are asking if there is a difference between Rap and Hip Hop, then yes. Hip Hop is at the roots, culture and superficially, a style. Rap is a genre within that culture, but you also have R&B, Trap, Soul, etc. But Hip Hop is also dance and clothing/ style. I would consider groups like A Tribe Called Quest, Run DMC, Wu-Tang, to be rap groups. But groups like B2K, TLC, Black Eyed Peas, while some may consider them hip hop groups (or at least hip hop stylized), are not rap groups.
Being in the Bangtan Universe is like being inside a kaleidoscope. BTS cover so many genres and then they have songs that I don’t even know how to classify. This is what makes BTS their own genre.
So the next step is their first MV BTS "No More Dream" I guess please remember that they were hip hop focused in debut days l you guys are great btw

Yes Jimin is changed, he told that at the beginning of his career he tried to be a strong man due to the stereotypes of society but that today he is how he always wanted to be, he shows himself as he is, what he likes.

Love seeing them back in their early days, both BTS and Ron and Brandon. Jungkook was 15 when they debuted and V and our baby mochi were 17 (they are affectionately known as the 95 line). And RM's hair though.... They were very hip hop oriented in their early days. Bang PD opted to move more towards idol pop. Suga almost left because of it. So glad he stayed. BTS wouldn't be BTS without each of the boys and their contributions. Great video guys. Sending good vibes and stay safe 💜
Hey guys‼️ Back to the beginning...yes! BTS was originally supposed to be a hip hop group, so that's why they had this type of image in the earlier days. This MV is pretty stripped down, but you have to remember that they were pretty low on budget, but that just made their awesome moves and synchronization obvious to everyone. Even right from the start, their passion & intensity were so evident. As you said, this MV was relatively stripped down, yet their talent is on full display and it can still hold your attention after 6 whole years. It just proves that their power does not necessarily lie in the ever changing hair colours and complicated dance routines (much as I love both of those things!).

Though I’m happier for today’s Jimin. There was aspects of his personality that he wasn’t too happy with here. Like trying to be this hard hip hop masculine guy.

It wasn't a horrible thing tho, if you watch their behind the scenes of these times you will that both him and V were hitting puberty and having fun flirting and acting manly for armys... There is a "Bulletproof part 1", however it was with the original line up for BTS. They were all rappers, including one that ended up being one of their in house producer for many years. His name was Supreme Boi.
Than there is this one and, of course "The Eternal." Now if you watch it over, you will see a piece of main video they have made. From this one, "N.O.", "Danger", "Boy IN Luv" all the up to "Boy WITH Luv." They even add two songs that didn't have videos "Whalen52," (when they were riding the whale) and at the end when they were on the round stage crying. That was from their song "Born Singer." Which happens to be a remake of a J. Cole song, "Born Sinner". And it is amazing.
As for V's age...he along with Jimin were born in 95. Jimin just past in October. And V's in on December 30th. So international age, is is 25, V is is 24 about to turn 25. By korean age, Jimin is 26 and V is about to be. Please understand that in Korea they consider the first 9 months in gestation as the first year of life. So when someone is born, they are already a year old, (now technically a woman carries a child for 40 weeks. If u do the math. A woman carries a child for 10 months at full term.) Also depending on when in the year the were born, at the beginning of each year an additional year is added on. So in Korea everyone is anywhere between 1 or 2 years ahead of international age. If you are 23 international age, u would be 24 or 25 korean age.

Just one more thing - I'm discovering them backwards as well! I can't believe their level of energy & swag! Most groups don't (from my perspective) WANT their older stuff compared to their current stuff dimply because it doesn't rate. Not only does their older stuff compare - it is on par or even better to their current sound! That's the reason why I love them very much. The evolution of their music. They are debuted as hip hop group. Getting laughed at due to their names. All their albums speaks about the stages of live. The rebellious teenagers, high school love. Then the journey of becoming adult and finding themselves. It is very relatable to the listeners.

Actually the LA trip they did getting girls for their music video was in 2014. They went there to learn about hip hop. So it was about a year after their debut. So you got that from their early days 💜 you should watch No More Dream next.
People laughed at them for wearing fake Versace in this video, so last year they performed this song live wearing similar clothing just to let people know that they could now afford the real thing. Their wit & attention to detail is incredible!

Exactly! I think the MV is awesome, they were clever working with a super low budget. Now they can go all out and spend as much as they want on MVs. Just shows you dont need lots of money to make a fabulous group. Im so glad they never gave up especially when for so long they felt like they werent making enough impact and gaining enough attention. Their first win breaks my heart cos they finally saw the hard work was being recognised.

They have this very heavy swagger look because they used to be an exclusive hiphop group (meaning, their main genre of music is hiphop). But then Bang PD (their CEO) convinced them to be an idol group and eventually they slowly tried new path. Although this evolusion of their music was not taken well especially those in the hiphop community, they received a lot of hate and criticism of them betraying hiphop, which eventually birthed to their cypher series (cypher pt 1-4), dedicated to their haters and bashers. Try to check all of the 4 parts if you can. It'll be a fun reaction I promise!😊 Love your vids btw and keep spreading the good vibes💜

At that time they were to be a hip-hop band, they had to look like bad boys 😂 i love to see this, and appreciate the journey they took to find themselves, their style, their uniqueness. Have a good Back to the Future trip bros 😘
They were belittle at the time because big hit is a small company and the other fandom is saying they can't make it but they have proven otherwise that's why they are bulletproof with the haters 🥰
Basically some of the reasons their wardrobe isn't as bright or fashionable is because they weren't a big company in the beginning and all the staff and BTS worked on production and videos and everything. There videos still look amazing years ago and still my favourite songs come off there first few albums. They also initially had more a hip hop feel, they debated as an idol group but they worked on a lot of concepts.
Basically there early stuff is the struggles of transitioning from childhood to teen to young adult and the struggles of life and the stigmas on youth. Then they write about how being young in a world where it's tilted against youth and they have their storyline. Then they had transitioned into finding ones self and growing up into adulthood and calling all of the generations. They also have then one of the biggest impacts of them to love yourself. BTS has always worked hard from the very beginning and write what they feel and what they see.
I probably forgot lots but there's just too much history to go over of BTS and Army and big hit. Anyhow glad you enjoyed !

I loved this era because I love hip hop.. But the vocal line was struggling both in terms of style and voice.. They had to growl every single time and that was hard for theie chords.. They found the balance between the hip hop songs and the pop ones and now they are so much more versatile. They have truly evolved. I am in love. 💜

They are the most humble young men that have every right to be arrogant but they aren’t at all. These 7 young men deserve every hit, trophy, record, that comes their way. Seeing them reach each goal that have accomplished makes me feel like a proud parent!
It hits harder to be able to watch chronologically 2013-2020 MVs of BTS and watch Bulletproof: The eternal as your last stop. Like Dude, I cried a bucket. 😭

BTS covers such some many genre.... wait till next week, the 20th, their new album BE comes out. It will be the most BTS style of music, the members being themselves.
They were going hard during those early days. They’re young and hungry to put their mark out there. And through the years yiu can see how their image and music evolved. It comes from the experiences and maturity in the music business. I also love that they were given artistic freedom by their company which allowed them to really put their stamp in the kind of music they want to do.
It’s fun to go back and see how they evolved from the persona they were given through them growing into themselves. Plus the evolution of their musicality and vocals is amazing. Check out no more dream!

BTS debuted as a hip-hop group then, later on, turned into kpop group (though now BTS is THE genre itself, yeah BTSpop) so most of their earlier songs are hip-hop-based. And they all look adorable, baby Bangtannies.

I'm actually a BTS ARMY since 2013! I started stanning them when they only had 'No More Dream', 'We Are Bulletproof pt. 2' & 'NO' release and YES I still have the same thoughts about them. I still see, appreciate and respect the message, passion, hard work and amazing talent 💜
Yes jimin, We know;) he worked really hard to improve himself in everything, and ALL OF THEM IS JUST UNBELIEVABLE AND EXCITING TO ME TO GO BACK IN TIME AND SEE HOW THEY “ evolved “ as you said, it is awesome, Makes me think how to try harder in all aspects of my life to get better in a lot of things. I remember being in elementary school in 5th grade first hearing bts and I showed all my friends and they weren’t as a die hard fan like me. Now I’m a senior in high school. I can’t even fathom the love I had for these guys. I miss the days they were in this era. it’s just crazy how my family and friends now see bts as what they are today too. I remember singing and dancing to my little brother about bts and now we hear them on the radio 🤍 ITS CRAZY
They were supposed to originally be a hip hop group I believe but I'm new ARMY too
