Hey Chris! Over the past 5 years, I've bought 13 pairs of Haix from Tracy at the show. They are great boots, I've cut hundreds of cords in them. They work! I'm the guy with the custom aluminum Dodge Ram 5500 dump truck. I enjoy your channel!
Tracy’s advice about wearing merino wool socks is spot on, the wool naturally regulates temperature and draws moisture away from foot. Wear different thickness socks through the seasons and look after you feet with washing and foot balm application too. 👍 Keep those toe nails clipped as well 👍
Love my HAIX chainsaw boots. Mine were a little stiff when new but within wearing them a few times they were fine, love the support they give and yes the socks made a huge difference.
I had a good deal from Haix earlier this year (via your channel, Chris) and bought the Protector Ultra Red's. They did take a bit to break in, but have been outstanding and offer piece of mind over a standard work boot. Thanks for the video!
Great video, i have a pair of Haix chainsaw boots there alpine boots cut protection 3. The XR200 boots can only be found in USA been looking on uk website and there not on it, local boot store can’t get them either. The next time you are talking to Tracy could you ask her about them and when they will be available in uk. Thanks
Well goodmorning from Alabama. Its 40 here , an even with those mornings in the 20 s . Theres plenty of green leaves. An suppose to be about 80 today. Alas my last morning with my cookstove burning for awhile.
Thanks Chris I will look into these as I am a sneakers kind of guy. I have a decent pair of chainsaw boots buy I am not looking for another Pair of sneakers for the shop/office
I would like to put the Haix everyday work boots to the test at work. As a delivery driver walking an average of 22k steps a day. I would be interested in how well they breath and keep my feet dry slushing thru the snow? Not to mention punishing them in the woodyard. Nice review Tracey👍🏻👍🏻GNI
I can lend a feed back comment. I worked in a lumber yard when I got my Haix boots and live in Michigan. I was impressed to say the least. Warm with wool socks, they breathed amazing (summer and winter), and I still wear them after a year working outside in the lumber yard and now as a welder working indoors. The only thing I have had to replace is the laces and the insoles. I was a Keen guy before and they would last a year, Haix boots after a year are just breaking in is how they feel in those terms. Took about a week to break in, like you at 22k steps a day on and off a hi lo and now walking on concrete all day. Definitely worth the money. Support is amazing around the ankle and comfort level second to none. Tread wear has not been an issue either and definitely has the grip in the snow, ice is ice as far as ice goes. Definitely worth getting a pair. I will definitely be buying another when the time comes. Hope this helps you out. 👍🏻
@@crazyman3157 Thanks for the info. Walking on asphalt and concrete all day I was wondering how comfortable/ bulky feeling they would be? Your comment has helped a lot! Appreciate ya👊🏻
Darn Tough socks from Vermont are merino and have an unconditional guarantee. If you wear them out you send them in and they give you a code for a free pair.
@@InTheWoodyard there good for snow.i wear the salewa gtx mids.because climbing trees and the steep mountains here.they sell them at bartlett arborist wich is in Michigan but alot guys like those for regular work ..the salewa are not chainsaw proof. But other wise best I've found..have broken ball on my foot and torn knee and buldged back .only ones that don't hurt.they sell a insole pad I use you might like .look up Elliott s boots there 24 bucks but have thick cushion on instep .gold package can't remember the name will send it later.
That lady knows her boots!! She's correct on the socks, only time my feet stay warm is when I have my Merino or Wool boot socks on.. October thru March...
Really liked the AirpowerXR200 this summer as it is lighter weight from the Lime Protector Ultra, I prefer the roller eye system of the Ultra and find the Ultra sole gives better traction. Light weight wool sock for summer mid-heavy wool for fall, winter and spring👍. Really wish Haix and all boot companies would get their act together on sizing😤, XR200 made in Croatia, Ultra made in Germany per boot labels,🤔yes Croatia is Eu but not Germany so a bit of fudge facting.
Oooops I wanted to mention that I found that with the more open top lower cut of the XR200 I tended to end up with more wood chips in my boot vs the Ultra. Perhaps between Chris and Andrew they could get Haix to do a Special Edition Ultra Ultra boot with an orange with blue tongue or similar color scheme and composite toe🤔😀?
I have never had a problem with mine and the 10 or so friends I have that wear them ave never had a problem, there are rollers in the loops so they roll easy, you might want to look closer.
Resole but not rebuildable on the Haix, I have some Whites that are close to 20yrs old but then I have a pair of Haix fireboots that are around 20yrs as well. I recently bought pair of Haix xr200 and Ultra for the waterproofing and chainsaw protection features which my Whites do not provide. apples and oranges.
It'd be worth paying the big bucks for imported boots when they come with those awesome boot laces! The Wal Mart boots don't have strings like that!! 'Course, I'm just like Chris...money is no object when I'm shopping for boots! I've been known to pay up to $28 for a pair of logger boots! Tracy would prob hate me! The best pair I got from Sam's store were marked down to $12!! That dang pair only lasted 3 1/2 yrs! It's a strange thing, by the time you've learned most of the lessons, you're too old to make use of them! Not me, of course. Just thinking about Chris and his crew!Somehow I don't think any of youse guys are faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap tall buildings, or stronger than a locomotive, but you know all kinds of dumb stuff, like a lot of old geezers...not me, of course! GNI
When you consider costs of shipping or shopping, taxes, and the merchant profit, do we ever get all we pay for? Recently, i was kinda hungry, pulled into McD's, saw a nice looking sandwich on the board. $7.50!!!!!! Would a caviar and filet mignon and peanut butter sandwich be worth paying that much?? Would I get full value out of that bit of food?? Even with mambo sauce? I think about stuff like that and taxes a lot. Yeah, my psychologist isn't worth $160/hr. either!! - Au coontraire! I believe free stuff is always worth the price! Look at all the value you get from my FREE advice! No comissions and taxes!! I gotta say though, you look as pretty as Brooke Shields in those boots!! I had a pair of red Hush Puppies once. All the campus bullies got a school year's worth of workout! I beat heck out of their knuckles with my chin!! Sent them home cryin' to their Mommy. They learned not to mess with me! Actually, I think they were a little scared of my big sister... I know I was!!@@InTheWoodyard GNI

I really like my Haix boots. There really supportive while logging. I wear Thorlo socks in the summer and wool socks in the fall, winter, and spring.

Yup!
I wear Bridgdale Merino Wool socks summer and winter and rotate two pairs of boots during my working week.
Sounds great!
Good morning all
Hello!
Nice boots Chris
Why are you not on 5.30am in Sydney Australia you’re coming on at 10.30pm instead of 9.30pm?😊
we just fell back 1 hour for daylight savings day here..... that might have messed something up?
Yup, stupid daylight savings time.
Yup!
Thanks Chris I will look into these as I am a sneakers kind of guy. I have a decent pair of chainsaw boots buy I am not looking for another Pair of sneakers for the shop/office
They are great especially if you like your toes not detached by a chain saw or axe.
When your feet are unhappy the rest of the body follows.
That explains a lot of people!!!

Brrrrr 32°F n Frosty here in Ashville Ohio this morning!! Leaves are almost gone and pumpkins all froze... Have a great day folks!
Same hear in McArthur, Ohio
32 is AWESOME!
Can you put a link to the boots? Are they true to size?
Just google Haix boots and go to the web site. Yes sized right for me.
Fatal mistake. String lace loops suck. Thats where we pull the hardest when lacing up. The lace cuts the lace loop. Why not make them all metal.
I have never had a problem with mine and the 10 or so friends I have that wear them ave never had a problem, there are rollers in the loops so they roll easy, you might want to look closer.
Do they make steel toe boots
The cutting boots (red oarnge and green) have steel toe the others are composite toe
yup!
Good morning.

Hello!
Hi. Chris
Hello Ralphy baby!!!
No thanks I don't even know if those are rebuildable I pick Nick's Frank's or JK boots over those any day made in the USA and rebuildable.
That’s great but not everyone can afford over $500 boots or willing to part with the money! 🤔
Remember you get what you pay for when Boots can last you 20 to 30 years of rebuilding them it's not that much when you think about it
She clearly said that they are rebuildable
