If he skirts those laws or crosses them, or anyone in his company does, he is required by law to take that accountability on his shoulders and to answer for it. It does not matter what his skill or trade is. He is called the chief executive officer for a reason. So Hawley did exactly what the government should, hold powerful people to account for their own failings.

I am so glad Josh is going hard against institutions harming kids 100%. But as a mom of a preteen I have to ask, where were the parents? My daughter is not allowed on ANY social media platform for this reason. I have full parental controls enabled on her phone. If she somehow did get a social media account, she would lose her phone privileges. Period. I am responsible for her online/offline safety. However, it’s good to see the dangers being exposed & I understand parents can’t be everywhere all the time. Good for Sen. Josh helping us protect our children. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This doesn't necessarily reflect on a parent's competence at parenting, but as an IT professional, if I had kids, I'm confident that eventually they would be able to find ways around any safeguards I put in place, and it's my job to prevent adults from doing exactly that.each generation is crafty about that sort of thing because they have easy access to all the knowledge we have to put those safeguards in place in the first place.
That said, you're not wrong. Parents should strive to know as much as possible about what their kids are doing, but at the same time it doesn't absolve the companies from doing their part to prevent these situations as well.

How can you not admire Josh Hawley for his courage to hold people accountable and for his incredible communication skills that makes him capable of doing so? His interrogation ability is at the highest level as he asks very pertinent questions which he demands an answer to. Most people ask irrelevant question that are rarely ever answered. Hawley is also very quick that he responds back immediately to unacceptable statements. Nothing gets past this guy. This is why he needs to one day be president of the United States of America.
