Honestly out of all of these Gamestation Retros, I would probably go with the pro. I absolutely love plug n play consoles and it's been a while since we had one. I think the last one we had was the Genesis Mini 2. I'm actually excited for this!
That controller with the six buttons in the face is perfect for Street fighter. Your CES coverage has been great, I haven't been able to comment on all the videos.
No it isn't, at all. The joystick and buttons aren't lined up like they should be.... and the spinner is completely in the way of where you would want to rest your palm. It's a terrible design.
Nice! I wish they used that same fantastic looking 4:3 screen on the Atari handheld, even if it means displaying the few Recharged games in letterbox format. Better and more authentic experience for 99% of the games on the device.
Thanks for coverage Jon! I'm not sure if they will give out this information yet, but I would really like to know the game list for the Gamestation Retro Pro. If you are able to get any hand's on time with that, could you let us know your thoughts on the controller and/or arcade stick? Just curious how well they perform. Thanks!
That Mega bartop... Looks like has a rotary control... AND has Capcom games... Could this possibly be including Forgptten Worlds and done controls right? I really hope so. If they have, I'll buy one
The Controller for the Namco X Capcom Gamestation is an improvement upon the atari Gamestation Pro,since it's more comfortable to play your favorite retro games
The arcade stick's actual stick placement is not ideal, it should be in line with the arcade buttons. I would move the macro buttons up and put the dial below those.
That stick's layout is completely fucked. Hardcore arcade gamers know it instantly. There are comments about it floating around online already. You're not the only one with this opinion my friend.
It’s hard for me to decide between the Go and the Retro Pro. Especially that controller. These have a rather interesting color scheme, at the least- reminds me of cotton candy or bubble gum.
They weren't designed to work with a PC but I have not been able to test whether or not there is any compatibility. It might just be a question of someone writing inappropriate driver.
@GenXGrownUp Doesn't your wrist or arm hit the spinner when you use the stick or do you have to angle the way your holding the stick ? Looks uncomfortable to use the stick with the spinner there.
so ... nothing against the 2600, in its day, it was great. The 16 and 32 bit games just look better. What titles are on the RETRO // hopefully more MAME;'s than the gamestation pro. I like mine but the stick for it and the 400 mini are their week points. The modern controller with a paddle .. ++!
I wish Bandai Namco had their 3D fighters on these things as well. Don’t know if it’s a licensing issue or a technical issue, would like more ways to play arcade Tekken 3 and arcade Soul Calibur.
Hey Jon, could you ask one of the Atendees about what release of the Sonic games is included in the Sonic line? Mainly curious for the wide screen display
It sounds like Bahn-dai, akin to Auto-bahn. Japanese doesn't really have a sound between Ben and Bahn like the roll on antiperspirant Ban. Sorry for the annoying Japanese lesson 😅
hypothetically, if this was cheaper than the switch and other consoles, it would make for the ideal replacement, certainly better than buying the individual pacman handhelds
Well My Arcade talks big. But takes forever to get these products out to be sold. Still waiting on the Atari Mega Player. Last year came & went. And still NO Atari Mega Player. Very very disappointing.
That Arcade Stick layout is super questionable. Spinner should be on the right, the stick is too high, there is no room for your hands to rest, those extra mode buttons are in the way and moves the action buttons too far away from the joystick. Hopefully MyArcade goes back to the drawing board on that.
@@GenXGrownUp I want it to be great, so i want to throw my two cents out into the ether. They have tweaked and fixed a lot of stuff, so hopefully if anyone else shares my opinion they voice it. I DO think once we see the "Smart Glow" in action, that will be a nice feature. Thank You for the coverage of the event!
I wonder about the 8 action buttons as well. are they needed? I mean modern fighters use them for 3 punches and 3 kicks, but are they NEEDED here? At any rate, they will be useful if this stick can be hooked up to a PC. As far as people through the booth... IDK, did anyone actually USE the Arcade Stick? I know I have seen some comments like mine in YT comments and on AtariAge already. Me personally, I've played on TONS of sticks. Spinner goes on the right is one criticism that's been around since they first unveiled the AGS Portable. Not sure how that would work if buttons were on the right though??? As far as the spinner on the Arcade Sticks, I don't see why you couldn't flip the joystick upside down and play that way.
So its a collect them all thing to get more games, buy the Atari one for Atari games, buy the Konami one for those? or what. Yes I did miss this video, if its spend 400 for Atari, 400 for the other, and then 60 plus a controller count me out - if there is no hub to buy more games or new games this is a complete money grab.
What is a retrogamer? Someone who plays games or someone who has a collection and decorations to prove it? We are dangerously approaching to a market crash.
With the Atari Go I can see the advantage with its paddle, trackball, and number pad. The Capcom-Namco cabinet though is still kind of a question mark for me since the recently released Evercade Alphas are objectively better due to cartridge support.
This is definitely a very interesting direction, however the pink blue fade colour scheme looks really cheap. This definitely could be much better. Calling it the 'Retro' also cheapens it in my opinion.
@@GenXGrownUp It can be a problem if you are sacrificing ergonomy in lue of having extra buttons just for the sake of it. Not saying it's the case here but It's hard for me to imagine what game will make full use of all those buttons.
That arcade stick is terribly designed. The layout of the joystick and buttons are way off.... and the spinner is very awkwardly placed where your palm should rest while using the joystick.
Disappointed that they didn't feature more of the track ball. I'll pass. That's what sets Atari apart for me. Looks like another kind of the same old product in a new skin release.
@@GenXGrownUp My arcade has got some interesting consoles coming out, that atari one with the spinner and roller ball looks pretty good nice big screen as well.

GameStationRetro GO. Please Jon, help us understand as much as possible - what games, how many, release date, available ports… you know the drill of course! LOL! Not sure how many of these will be available 1st quarter 2025… but would love to also understand more of the items that we might not see much of until late 2025 or 2026 even. The early release stuff will come, but give us as much as possible (… and I know you will!) Also… take care of yourself and get your rest!
I honestly think 2025 - 2026 will be the golden age for My Arcade.
It’s a good time to be a gamer! Love seeing these products, whether I buy them or not. More selection is a good thing
The 8” screen on the handheld is phenomenal! 👊🏻🕹️😎
Now I want that screen size in the Atari one too.
Great that it's an interchangeable range of products! Exciting times :-) Keep up the awesome work Jon!
It’s so cool that retro games are making such an impact in the marketplace. Ace reporting, my friend.
I'm working at it. Thank you!
Looks like I need to clean out my basement for a home arcade 😁
3:05 Dude in the back giving Jon the stare down. LOL
Nearly burned a hole in the back of my head! 😁
If you look at the way he moved and shuffled around, I think he may have soiled himself and was concerned that it was caught on camera.
He is looking at the camera.
Some people for whatever reasons are very sensitive of being recorded....lol
Love this tabletop. It’s the right size for my man cave. ❤🎉 Thanks for your coverage. I used to attend CES for many years and miss the show.
I haven't been this excited for a video game release since I was a kid! Both Gamestation Gos and the Retro are on my 2025 entertainment budget now.
All these things look like they have great potential and I’m very tempted by the arcade version. MyArcade is looking great this year!

My Arcade is releasing some premium devices. This 8 inches screen on the Gamestation Retro Go is so awesome!
What a great Series. Thanks for keeping us up to date. Do any of those have SD Card slots?
All of the Atari products have SD card slots. Thanks!
Would love a definate list on the game station retro. Also that arcade stick looks good.
I AM ABSOLUTELY SNAGGING THIS!!!
Especially for dig dug and street fighter 2
I can't wait to play 1942 on this
I hope the Mega can get the same 4:3 screen as the handheld in the final product, and improve the art as well
👌
do u know if the arcade stick controller gonna work with the atari gsp??
I really hope that!
@lucavercellotti9959 frrl cuz even tho im 100% gonna get the tabletop mega player, playing on the gsp with arcade style controls would be amazing
Little confused by the Game station Retro Pro on the middle shelf at 1:44 does come preloaded with just Capcom games?
Video #4 of the day! 🎉
Thanks Jon, some very cool products- wonder what the release dates are ? Better start saving the pennies 👍
Most I saw are slated for Q2-Q4 2025
can that big controller be used on a retro pi machine?
Something to look forward to in the coming months. Incidentally, I'd recently started following My Arcade on Facebook.
great report! thanks!
My pleasure!
Thanks.
Holy shit this is awesome! I am torn between this and the Go. I would choose this just because it has SF2.
Will the GameStation or the Atari run other games via usb? Would be an even nicer package then.
Or maybe via (micro)SD card? (Functionally the same)
I am interested. Though I'd be curious how many games will use that paddle. I'm excited to try gaming on a paddle
Can those additional controllers be used with the Gamestation Atari products?
No, but the Atari models have their own controller options.

I'm hoping that those controllers for the Namco/Capcom Gamestation work with the Atari Gamestation Pro
I wonder if I can add more games via their purchase system. Or if I’m out and about without Internet, will I be able to play it?
No internet required, and no store. The 200+ games included are what's available unless it offers expansion via SD.
Are these “retro” ecosystem’s compatible with GameStation pro/go? Looks like it. And that’s cool if so
How much will they cost and when will they be available
I still wish they could port the namco classic collection games to these mini arcades
Looks very interesting

Throw them old Tekken 1-3 & arcade version of tag on there & im sold!!!!!!

It's not clear if these Retro Gamestations will have the ability to use a Micro SD card for ROMs, in which case they would be a blast. 🔥🔥
Hopefully I can use that game station arcade controller with my VCS. If that’s the case then I’ll buy one.
It's not designed to work with it but there's no reason Atari could not write a driver.

How are you suppose to use the Arcade stick with the spinner in the way. It's directly under the stick !

Is that arcade stick compatible with PC by any chance? Ive been looking for a good knob controller for a long time.
I don't know if it was designed to be PC compatible, but it can be connected by a USBC so it might just be a matter of needing a driver if it's not.
