A tip maybe it could be useful for you: - While testing a lot of eating stuff just drink a sip of water after every food you ate. So this will help you knowing the more accurate taste of a product. This way things won't mix up.
bite the end of each end of the tim tam and slurp milk , coffee or tea through them, if using a hot beverage quickly push the rest into your gob and the thing will dissolve into the drink ... congratulations you have just had a tim tam slam !! g'day from Australia, and Alanna you said Aussie correctly.. well done ... bye bye
Allen's are called pick and mix in the UK and are produced by Bebeto and can be bought in B&M. Fabulotious is also available to buy in the UK by another name that i can't remember but is on sale in Iceland shops and you get more in the bag
The banana medicine was a penicillin. I had to have it every day for 2 years and yes they do taste similar. Nesquik banana milkshake has a similar taste.
All of these sweets reminds me of the sweets I used to get on the way back from school in the non PC era ( I'm not saying it was good now!). You used to be able to get what was called "Pirates Tobacco" which was shredded coconut, coloured brown to look like tobacco and packaged just like , well, rolling tobacco! And this was marketed and sold to children. There were also "Sweet Cigarettes" which was just a box of 10 white "candy sticks" with red food dye at the top to give the impression it was alight. Talk about training us all to become smokers when we grew up.. I just got addicted to the sugar!
I remember the sugar ciggies :) the other type were chocolate sticks wrapped in edible paper sold in fake looking ciggie packets. how times have changed
Reminds me of a little shop I found in London 20+ years ago that used to sell sweets from around the world way before internet ordering took over - if you ordered something specific it often took 6 weeks to arrive!! I used to spend a fortune on all sorts of goodies, including some Aussie stuff. Yum!
The good old corner shop in ethnically diverse parts of London and other Towns , sadly missed since the big supermarkets moved into the local corner shop business. Arkright you are forgiven.
This has backfired on me in a BIG way Alana 😨 My Kiwi wife Emma was behind the Sanza delivery to you, but I (regular viewer English bloke) suggested this as a way of settling the Penguin vs. TimTam debate once and for all... And I lost! That was a tense moment and life just got harder. Love the show by the way, but I'm now off to sit in a darkened room.

Alanna, always love your "Alanna eats" videos but not as much as you seemed to love the Original Tim Tams. The way you looked holding the packet in your arms said it all. :-)
Hi Alanna, a very informative and absolutely brilliant video. Your facial expressions when you try new things are priceless and your scoring system never ceases to entertain. Great video. Looking forward to your next video soon.
I have an Aussie friend who sent me every conceivable version of Tim Tams. They're soooooo good. Much nicer than our Penguins. As a kid, I got very excited when the doctor prescribed me "Banana Medicine ", which I'm pretty sure was penicillin (Amoxicillin possibly?). Thank you for making me smile on this rainy and blustery Tuesday. 😁
Here's how Australians eat the Original Tim Tams. Bite off each end of a Tim Tam and use it as a straw to suck your morning coffee through. When it all gets a bit messy, you put the whole thing in your mouth and bliss out on coffee and chocolate. Yum! God bless you for trying some 'strayen stuff. Allens are good 'ey.
The Black & Gold banana is pretty much the bottom of the barrel, but the Allen's brand is always good. I hope you do get to visit Australia one day, but hopefully after we have recovered from the fires and you can enjoy the true Australian experience. Thank you for another great video from a proud Aussie.
Allen's snakes and killer pythons are the best! They did not send her a very good selection of our lollies and snacks...there's much better stuff out there to try...
Tim Tams are available in many places in Canada and the USA so I’m a little surprised Alanna seemed to be so surprised eating it. My local Safeway supermarket here in NW Washington carries the original Tim Tam for some time. In the last 2 years they added the caramel version. Both bars are great as straws with milk..!!
A friend of mine brought me back a packet of Tim Tam Originals from his holiday in Oz, and they are great!! Or were, because they didn't last long! When they were gone, I noticed the 'Health Star Rating' on the packet - 0.5 out of 5 Stars!! Perfect!!

Hi Alanna!!. If you wanna try something truly amazing, you've to taste the "alfajor" (in spanish, I can't translate it). It's made with chocolate and "dulce de leche" witch is similar to Nutella, but MUCH better!!. It's a sweet original from Argentina. Cheers from Buenos Aires.

Those eucalyptus thingies sound like Halls Mentho-lyptus cough drops / lozenges. Perhaps they are more like Fisherman's Friend. I had an uncle who bought them, even when he wasn't sick.

Another great video. Made me smile so I really hope it helped those Australians that are going through the worst time ever. Thank Alana (sorry if miss spelled)
I made some notes while watching of thoughts that occurred to me. 1. I definitely remember the banana stuff. It was like for sore throats or throat infections or something. 2. Does eating a Retro Gummy Man count as cannibalism? 3. I was a little concerned you weren't gonna say anything about your teeth since you always do when trying candy but then you slipped it in at the end. You're lovely Alanna, never change.
Love the video.👏👏👏👏 Not connected to the video, but have you been to the True Crime museum in Hastings? Not been myself, but thought it would be right up your street.
Now that the UK is leaving the EU, we need to make a new trade deal with Australia. They can send us those Tim Tams, and we can send them some rain, before the whole place burns down.
Hi Alanna! I'm a 18 years old girl from Québec and I'm planing to move to Ireland nexr year. Not quite your target audience, but let's be real that's the closest you'll get to that lol Love your channel btw:)
@Laura O'Brien Well, your last name already fits with Ireland, so that's a good start. As you say Ireland, not Northern Ireland, I guess you mean the southern part? There's some really nice places out there and with the mess the UK is in, you're probably better off being in the south. Good luck to you when you do eventually move. :-)
Every time I ever spell Alanna correctly, my damn iPad “corrects” it to Alana and I have to reprimand it. 😂😂 Also when my son was ickle he used to get banana flavoured amoxicillin, but it comes in various forms and flavours.
When I was about 5 years old I contracted measles and was prescribed antibiotic medicine which had an artificial cherry flavour...and I haven't been able to stand that taste ever since. Real cherries are fine, but the artificial flavour, like cherry coke...no! Also, my extended family in New Zealand (I'm in the NW UK) are always telling me that Whittaker's chocolate is the best in the world (I haven't personally tried it) and they have some really interesting flavours (Jelly tip?!) so that might make an interesting tasting video. 🙂
Allen's snakes, killer pythons, crunchie, freddo frogs, freckles, jaffas, bbq shapes, tiny teddies, jersey caramels, milk bottles, iced vovo's...I grew up with this stuff in the 70's and 80's...

2. Does eating a Retro Gummy Man count as cannibalism?
3. I was a little concerned you weren't gonna say anything about your teeth since you always do when trying candy but then you slipped it in at the end.
You're lovely Alanna, never change.
another fun update Alanna, and big love to all my OZ family and friends ( and everybody else too)
Nothing beats a Tunnocks Caramel Bar. No arguments
I never eat sweets, well maybe at Christmas, but I never crave them. However you have made me yearn for Tim Tams. I have just got to get some
Technically speaking, Tim Tams are not lollies (yes we call sweets lollies in Australia)...they are biscuits!
Love the video.👏👏👏👏
Not connected to the video, but have you been to the True Crime museum in Hastings? Not been myself, but thought it would be right up your street.
So now I need to know how to get hold of those TimTams? I need to know like my life depends on it!
In Oz there are loads of Tim Tam varieties.
Tim Tams are superb
I've seen them in the UK but can't remember where!!
@@barmybee61 They look great and Allanna sells them pretty well...
Now that the UK is leaving the EU, we need to make a new trade deal with Australia. They can send us those Tim Tams, and we can send them some rain, before the whole place burns down.
Allen’s and Tim Tams are staple lollies. The others are typically unknown.
Congratulations! Your video got a ❤️ from MatC!
😁
Should Alanna's "EAT THIS" videos come with a health warning may cause addiction and diabetes :)
You need to do a Tim Tam Slam! (From a Brit in a smoky Melbourne)
Nice video Alanna. You're ranking system is the best. 🙂
Hi Alanna! I'm a 18 years old girl from Québec and I'm planing to move to Ireland nexr year. Not quite your target audience, but let's be real that's the closest you'll get to that lol
Love your channel btw:)
Thanks so much Laura, you're officially the youngest here! Hope you enjoy Ireland!!
Also when my son was ickle he used to get banana flavoured amoxicillin, but it comes in various forms and flavours.
We have penguins which are similar to Tim Tams
You do like your food videos, love you
You used to get Amoxicillin liquid that tasted like bananas.Tim Tams are lovely.
Black and Gold is a cheap brand producing cheap stuff. Allens is a top brand for lollies (Australian for 'sweets')
I agree...she didn't try the good lollies and snacks we have...
Btw technically speaking, Tim Tams are not lollies...they are biscuits!
Allen's snakes, killer pythons, crunchie, freddo frogs, freckles, jaffas, bbq shapes, tiny teddies, jersey caramels, milk bottles, iced vovo's...I grew up with this stuff in the 70's and 80's...
Considering it was a free package sent from Australia, I'll take cheap stuff.
you can get banana and shrimps in the UK.
Aren't shrimps called prawns in the UK?
They are in Australia...
I'm a British viewer and I agree on Tim Tams
Hey Alanna, Tim Tams are even better if they've been in the fridge a couple of hours or more . :)
So true...a partially melted Tim Tam is not that nice...
I thought it was Tylenol that had banana or banana twist flavour.
