I’m white and I laugh at these and Blazing Saddles jokes - because it’s not black and brown people who are the brunt of the jokes. Nobody’s mocking them. Nobody’s punching down. The joke is on the system where if your black or brown, there’s a much greater likelihood you’ll be pulled over by a cop and searched for no justifiable reason, but if you start worrying about your rights, it could be the last trip you ever take. I mock racist and bigoted people endlessly because they’re clowns. How can you take anyone seriously who says less melanin is better than more?
Gabriel Iglesias (Fluffy) is one of the funniest comedians I've ever seen. When I first saw one of his skits, years ago, I fell down a rabbit hole. I couldn't get enough. I've been in tears laughing so hard watching him. His material is always based on his life, and his delivery is perfect. So glad you found him. He is going to bring so much joy to you. :)

One of my favorite stories that fluffy tells in his Hawaiian special is the Sunday kids story. It's about him messing with his son because his son wouldn't freaking put on deodorant! I almost passed out laughing the first time I heard that little story.

i saw a prescreening of his movie "The Fluffy Movie: Unity Through Laughter" at the mall of america. he came out and introduced the movie. after the movie Fluffy took a Q & A and was willing to take pictures after that. i did not have a phone to take a picture with. i stayed anyways because i wanted a hug, and he gave me a hug

It's self-defecating comedy where they expect for anyone to laugh with or at their mistakes. Essentially. And essentially a sort of self-coping mechanism. Don't worry about whether you should laugh or not, if it's funny then laugh, it's the whole reason he tells his stories. To bring laughter to some crazy situations. A little background about the Phoenix area and why this story rings so true. Once upon a time there was a sheriff up in that county who had a reputation of being the "Toughest Sheriff in America". Racial profiling had been deemed a no-no and against a person's rights.....didn't matter to this guy. He'd have a way of talking around it but all of us in this part of the state knew what he was about. If your skin tone was the right one you might find yourself pulled over and questioned for whatever reason they had. Numerous lawsuits were filed against the department, the Supreme Court ruled on racial profiling and still, it was business as usual. He finally lost his bid for re-election (the sheriff is an elected position in AZ). I can't say how it is up there now that he's gone, I still try to avoid travelling through Phoenix if at all possible.
BTW, when cops are looking for drugs and they know that they don’t have probable cause to legally detain you, get you out of your vehicle, and search it, they have trained their dogs to bark, even when the dog doesn’t sniff anything. It’s illegal, but they do it. And no, he didn’t make up that song, we use to sing it in camp, as a kid, but instead of Mexicans, it is Indians, 1 little 2 little 3 little Indians, etc.
