Boy I miss when I was growing up and my dad worked for an airline. We got to fly for free, it just had to be on stand-by and we had to abide by a dress code. We got placed in first class a few times, and we could go anywhere on whim. I remember chilling out on the couch late one night and my dad asked if I wanted to go to Boston that weekend, all because we just watched a food show about an awesome place to eat there. Wish I could still travel like that, now I get excited if I go to a grocery store another town over. 😂
i love this type of videos especially when i'm watching, laying on the bed, and my husband is sleeping, trying not to wake him up! Flying in Delta Premium Economy is a nice upgrade....I'm glad you did it! You deserve it!
Delta is IMO the only US airline that is close to any foreign airline in service, though I still have found some pursers and ground crew can be bitter and unpleasant.
Joseph have to disagree with you on that point. American is the only US carrier with a true first class experience both internationally and on the two most competitive domestic routes (JFK-LAX both ways an JFK-SFO both ways). They also have the youngest fleet in the US meaning that a mainline American Airlines flight is less likely to have mechanical problems. The service I have received on international routes far exceeds the service I’ve ever received on DELTA and United, and I would pay more for a flight on American for a far better experience. My only issue with American is their regional carriers. MESA, Skywest, and envoy air are unreliable when it comes to service and I try my best to avoid regional flights operated by those regional carriers. The mainline American service in the US is second to none domestically speaking.
One trip I took where I did Economy on the way there and Delta One on the return..I had the same flight attendant for both. She treated me like scum when I was in Economy, and nice as pie in Delta One!
Great review Shinichi! Wow, I am impressed with the food served! First time I ever saw the Western meal looking quite edible in Premium Economy. It looked comparable to the Japanese meal, which is not the norm usually. I usually select the Asian meal when flying to Asia as I have found it to be much better than the Western option. This review really opened my eyes about food service on a USA flagged carrier. Kudos to Delta for an obviously improved product! Take care guys and Happy Travels! ♥️🛫🌎

Your partner always drinks beer. He really likes his beer. The food looked good. My husband hates me, I can sleep anywhere. I got 6 hours easy when we flew to Australia in economy. Stay safe in Japan. Though America is more officially more dangerous because we aren't testing for Covid-19 like we should be.

Pretty impressed with Delta's food on international flights. I fly from the states to London every year. This time I did pick Delta Comfort plus for February 2023 trip. But first row behind business/first class on all flights. Really like Delta.

Great review mate! The food looks tasty on Delta. But I recently came across james asquith's video where adviced to not fly in premium economy. If you are low on cash then prefer economy (extra money can be spent on anything else) and if you shit load of cash then first/ business class.
It’s so sad for us in Hawaii the flight from Oahu to KIX the premium economy is sooo junk it’s the same meal in economy and the plane is are very old and presentation on the meals isn’t as great as yours ! Only good flight from Oahu to japan is the new Honu plane totally recommend when you can ✨ keep up the great videos
I flew Premium Select from MSP to Tokyo Haneda last year, and I enjoyed the upgrade. My son and I bought our tickets during a sale so the tickets weren’t too bad price wise.
i have been in this airport and the delta terminal :D in the twin cities too!!! this brings back great memories :) of traveling for me, i lived in sioux falls and the small airport there only goes to the Minneapolis airport so no matter what we would have to go there. this is a popular video for the midwesterners in the usa i bet :)! i have never traveled premium select though and this is an eye opener!! i want to now!
I like the convenience of Delta flying into Haneda, but I didn't think the Premium Economy was worth paying extra -- I thought that the Economy seats would have been more comfortable for a long flight if you pick the right seats. Having said that, Delta flight attendants are the nicest among the U.S. airlines.
Premium Economy is certainly something to consider as it's much less in price than Business Class and this Delta service is definitely a step up from Economy Class.
When things settle down think for a short time after could possibly get some great prices on airflights. Might even be able to bump it up to this class or even business class without breaking the bank😏

delta gives out new headphones? As delta diamond medallion, i usually fly delta one, but i flew long haul economy first time last year and impressed with their level of service. Really really impressed esp with 9abreast b777 that they’re retiring soon. Very comparable with me3 carrier in economy if not better service and hard product. I even think they’re on par with asian carrier too.

Delta I would fly premium economy no hesitation. AA is almost as good too it looks like but it’s not sky team or star alliance so hard for me to pick them for mileage purposes unless it’s the Dallas to ICN route since Korean air code shares on that route. United looks weak in terms of their food game compared to AA and Delta

It really varies a lot. In general, on Delta, you have 5 classes: 1) Economy 2) Comfort Plus 3) Domestic First 4) Premium Select 5) Delta One Economy is the basic stuff you know. You might get an okayish meal on a longer flight, plus a couple of light free snacks with limited selection, and you can buy a drink if you need. You typically have about 31-33 inches of legroom. In Comfort Plus, you get a greater snack selection and you get a free drink, sometimes multiple if the flight attendants are nice. You also get 2 inches more legroom than economy (so 33-35). Otherwise it's very similar, you even have the same seat type. In Domestic First, you have a much wider seat that's much more comfortable, and you tend to have 34-38 inches of legroom. You will get a meal on any flight over 900 miles, and you get unlimited drinks and usually unlimited snacks, too. Your seat can also recline much more deeply. And you get to board and depart earlier. In Premium Select, you get a seat very similar to Domestic First, but you tend to have better meals (since it's for international service), you can recline deeper for better sleep/rest, and your seat is a little more narrow, and you get a leg rest. You have unlimited free drinks and snacks, again, as a rule. In Delta One, you get a seat that can lie completely flat / basically turns into a bed. You get the best meals, best snacks, and of course the snacks and drinks are limited. You also only tend to have maybe a dozen people per flight attendant so the service is awesome. Of course, it costs around 10x what an economy ticket does, but if you just have more money than you could ever use, it's probably worthwhile to you.

When we went to Australia, we flew Quantas and found the crew very attentive and personable .

We had our own dedicated bathroom in the PS cabin although it might have been busy for this type of aircraft
i flew premium select transatlantic in November 2021, catering was reduced to a small a coach main dish in the heating container and an ice cream
