Andrew Llyod Webber composed the musical Phantom of the Opera and it ran for many years. It also was turned into a movie. Back in 2005 the band Nightwish did a version of this song and Webber LOVED it. They made it symphonic metal, their female singer at that time was Tarja Turunen and she is classically trained, along with the bass player Marko Hietala who has the perfect rough metal/rock vocals their version is stunning. His band Majestica has “A Christmas Carol” (based on the Scrooge story) done in metal🔥 It’s a phenomenal album with an original song called ‘The Joy of Christmas’ ❤️ I play ‘A Christmas Carol’ all year long. 🤣 And Tommy does traditional Christmas carols done in metal (and showcases his great sense of humour) would love to see reactions to those as well.👍 Deep, deep Rabbit Hole & I’m here for it

My 2 favourite songs with Tommy are Ave Maria and Murder in the skies. The second one is a Gary Moore cover that he does together with his friend Chris David, who is in Majestica with Tommy.

As someone said, Phantom Of The Opera is a musical that had many different singers through the years (this song is a duet, sung by a man and a woman), but the original singers were Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford, I highly suggest checking it out. Also, one extremely successful cover was done by the band Nightwish and it was the first metal cover of that song, if I'm not mistaken. I also highly recommend it (live version from End of an Era show). Tommy did an exceptional cover, my favourite next to Nightwish one (and yes, he does all the music, mixing and mastering). With all due respect to Dream Ocean, for me Tommy's solo version is much better. Thanks for your reaction

Phantom of the Opera was a hit in sweden too. Ran from '89-'95 without pause and keeps coming back. Great swedish version of the musical as well, 1989 cast available on youtube. Christine Dae (the lead female role) is based on a nightningale singer from sweden in the era it's set in (jenny lind, no recordings available just legend). Maybe that's why we swedes liked it so much? Great version from Tommy, gad no idea they made covers like this!. ❤ ❤
I would love to watch the play, especially since it's on TH-cam x) when I was younger, around elementary school, we'd take field trips to zoo's and fairs. Zoo's stunk and I was too scared to ride the rollercoasters at the fairs But I LOVED going to plays! Dark rooms, pamphlets describing each act, and of course the entertainment of the plays themselves!
Try his original "The Light" which he wrote in his early teens, it's amazing! I usually wait until I see the second reaction to Tommy before I subscribe, but I will be back! ❤
