I've playing since it got released on the Switch (I'm trying to play each game month with a real life month), have talked to a lot of npcs, including everyone on the river, and still no clue on how to get the fishing rod. The old man says it used to have one but it broke and idk if that's supposed to be a clue or not. There is a hungry cat I have been starving cuz I only got fish from Tanaka damn it!
I also bought Persona 4 Golden on the Switch. The game was currently on sale and I've never played any part of the series, but I always wanted to start. And before I buy P5 Royale for €60 and then be disappointed because the game might not meet my expectations despite the fantastic ratings from the reviewers, I thought it would be best to start with part 4. After all, you get this for little money and it should also be very good. So I'm excited to see what awaits me.
P4G is the game that got me into JRPGS. It'll always be one of my favorite games of all time. The small town vibe, the cast of characters, the music; it all just comes together in a way that makes you feel really nostalgic for that beautiful ps2 era. Thanks for covering it here, and glad you enjoyed it this time around!
I played this after playing through Persona 5 Royal and was worried I wouldn't enjoy it as much, but I really fell in love with the fog-drenched small town setting and the murder mystery.
You really put a lot of love and creativity into your videos and that really makes them shine. Persona 4 is one of the games out there that really deserves that kind of love and you delivered it. I played through this game last year on the Vita and I just couldnt adore it more. There is something truly special about this game and it has so much to give. Persona is such a amazing thing and I find myself insufficient in coming up with the words to describe the amount of layers and greatness that these games deliver. This is a game I will never forget and this great video will always be tied to it in a substantial way. TH-cam is fun because we can give back in a way to things we enjoy and you did great here. Thanks Pelvic.
Aw man this is surreal. I played P4 shortly after launch when I was in high school. 14 years later watching this video makes me feel a tinge of nostalgia for this fictional high school I never attended wtf lol
Persona 4 is a great game & I loved the shadow version skits throughout the video. While I do think they were some issues throughout the story but I do like how Kanji, Naoto & the rest of the casts are portrayed trying to find their place in the world & struggling to find themselves as teens. Naoto is one of my favourites trying to be taking seriously by her peers especially in a male dominant workforce not just as a woman but also as a teenager.
They have some of the strongest and frankly most talked about in the jrpg space. I love them both and each of their stories are worth seeing to the very end! ♡
Great job making your own 'midnight channel' - real video-making chops here! Totally agree it is the best cast of any RPG. I never played Persona 5 as I was told the cast wasn't nearly as good. And you're so right... Chie IS best girl!
This game really surprised me. The first 5 hours bored me so I almost uninstalled it from my vita. But, decided to give it one last chance, and I was hooked! Couldn’t stop playing at every waking moment lol. Great game!
REALLY???? Oh man I loved it start to finish! I do think it takes *slightly* longer to get into battle than I prefer in the beginning but once the dark side opens up to you, it only goes up from there! Glad you gave it another chance!
The production of this video is top notch camp and fun! Thank you for a fun review. P4G was also my first Persona game and I also started on the Vita. Fond memories. I do remember it went a bit on and on and on towards the end, but I always want to revisit this masterpiece!
Thank you so much! Ayyy our journey was the same! Although I don't think it went on and on. I think I just loved these characters sooo much I didn't want the game to end!
I loved your video! Persona 4 changed me and was the first game that made me cry and I just couldn't stop ;-; I'm so attached to the characters even to this day and Kanji is my favorite male character in all video games that I played. I hope more people can experience what I felt by this amazing game. 😌
I started my playthrough with a guide and I didn’t realize how much I needed to save with this game 😭 you get punished so easily for not doing the most basic things, I’ll come back to my save file later down the line. Thank you tho for blessing us with a new upload, Amb!!
omg I just finished p4 golden for the first time, p5 was mt first persona and I loved the 4 golden even more, im glad that u posted an amazing review just as I finished lol
yes, low health animations! i remember when i first plated ff8 after 7 that one change was more impactful than the new proportions or textures for the enemies.
I agree that it’s interesting to see the « ugly side » of some dynamics such as Yosuke picking on Kanji, i just wished there was a proper moment in the story when Yosuke aknowledges it and apologizes to Kanji instead of Chie just telling him at some point to stop and then… he pretty much just stops. It felt very secondary and i wish they went deeper because they totally could have! Still an amazing game, had a blast with it!
I just discovered your channel in the last couple weeks and have loved all of the videos I've seen. Even when our opinions differ, I enjoy hearing your thoughts. Respect! :)
Oh wtf, this review was out of control, in a good way! Very thorough and great acting! I think I'll start Digital Devil Saga or the Raidou games. I think I'll go with DDS. Have anyone played them? What should I look out for? Without major spoilers of course.
Fun fact there's an easter egg where if you play Persona 4 Golden from midnight to 1 AM in the TV listings on the main menu you can play a midnight channel mini game.
I gotta say, that's a great video! I am currently playing Persona 4 Golden for the first time and going according to the calendar and its fun (Like today is 10/24 and I last saved in game on the 10/24 date), I already maxed out Chie and Nanako Social Links and there is still a lot of stuff to do in the game still, its such a massive game.
I can't praise this game enough,is my fourth favorite game of all time,I got it for my PSvita, and i just fell fort,a absolute loveable cast of characters, one if the best ost in jrpg history(so good it got a game entirely dedicated to it!),good gameplay, great story,I just love it,and it makes me so glad that so many new people get to experience it!
Persona 4 attract me to the series but I didn’t get to play it till these rereleases and I feel like it’s probably one of the best persona to start with for beginners of jrpg it’s really fun, and the cast will get them hooked
Persona 4 is still one of my personal favorites of the franchise because of how in depth the game is with it's characters. The concept of facing your inner demons to grow as a person made me cry the first time i played this game. The Town of Inaba has such charm and personality for me because i love small town dynamics compared to bigger city settings. I do hope however that IF we get a Persona 4 remake it has quality of life updates like Persona 5.
I played Persona 4 Golden on the Vita AFTER playing through Persona 5, and honestly, while P5 is really good, I still think I ended up preferring P4G. It felt a little smaller scale, a little more "grounded," and the characters are just really enjoyable. Also I'm listening to Heaven while typing this. That 50 second mark just scratches the good brain spots. (Oh and, the extra "Dark Lady Pelvic" bit is both silly and great, kudos on the editing!)
I'm currently playing through P4G for the first time and I really like the cast and the murder mystery plot a lot. I am glad I saved a lot because I needed to go back and redo some social links which means also redoing one of the dungeons but I really wanted to max out Naoto's social link before December.
Oh wow, you're bolder than I. I would not redo an entire dungeon! All those levels and items! But I appreciate your commitment to the cause and I'm glad you're loving the game!!
I just finished P4G last week on PC (Game Pass version), and I absolutely loved it! I'm sure I'll sound like a filthy casual to longtime Pesona fans, but I still like P5R a bit more. The most difficult thing is to hold off playing through P3P & instead wait for P3 Reload. In the meantime, I just started Baldur's Gate 3, and my god, it's like tonal whiplash going to that after all the Persona I've been playing! Anyway, love the review, loved P4G, and can't wait to play more Persona in the not too distant future!
YOU FILTHY CASUAL!!! Nah, like what you like. Oh I plan on playing p3 OG and P3R. I wanna note the differences in my upcoming review for sure! I hope you continue to enjoy your Persona journey~!
im not one to give a 10/10... but this game is ABSOLUTELY 10/10. Voice acting Music Game Length Story Combat Side Mission Balance Immersion. Im the biggest hater, but damn this game was solid gold Also Maria is waifu
Been wanting to get into Persona after having a bad experience with 5 but wanting to give it another chance. I just don't know if I go with 4 or just jump straight into P5R. Excellent video ✨
I sometimes fight the urge To replay either persona 5-4-3. With reloaded coming out and a new spin-off to 5 coming out. I have a lot to play. I kind of really want to play Persona 4 again.
Great review! :) P4G is basically my favorite JRPG at this point and is definitely the one I've spent the most time in over the last few years. I like P5R of course, but p4 just "hits different" lol
I finished P4 twice a long time ago, maybe I should play P4G sometime soon, Rise was my favorite back then wonder if I play through it again will I find her annoying too. 😂
great video! well done! :) P4 was my introduction to the series, and i loved it. ive since gone on to beat P1, P3, P3P, The Answer, P5, P5R, and im working my way through the P2 duology currently. for some reason, P4G...just grates on me? and im not sure why. im just finding it bland, samey, and grating. which is so odd cuz its just a better version of the old one i played. i dunno. maybe i just dont like small town vibes. or maybe im just playing too many things currently lol.
Man, I should've watched this as soon as it dropped. Oh well, at least I know that just blitzing through a Persona game without talking to anyone isn't the way to go.
This is by far my favourite Persona Tittle, I dont know what it is but even if I know P5 is more “perfect” this has a lot more heart to me, I just love the town sooo much. Great video!
My favorite Persona game, and high up on the list of all-time favorite RPGs, alongside the likes of EarthBound, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Tokyo Mirage Sessions.
"You're Yu! A transfer stude-" " wait, you who?" "Yu is you." I know I me but who am I playing as?!" "I already told you, it's Yu." "....look, I know you are you and I'm me but who am I...IN THE GAME!?!?" "...Y.....yu...." "😤😡🤬🤯"
Just posting for the interaction. Hey, you mentioned the game was on the XBox, how dare you! 👅 Big Fan of Mystery Inc. Best Scooby imo. That should be enough. Hope much more success for you and your channel
This was the game that introduced me to the series, though I never got to play myself till it came to steam. I also... Still haven't finished it cause that shit kept crashing and last i checked it still did, so i never got past Kanji. But yeah, dig the characters, though I found myself falling less in love with them as I got older compared to me being the same age as them when i first discovered it and feeling like they were the friends I never had back then. Also am a fellow Chie lover. But yeah, these days while its no longer my favorite Persona, still a good time. Ignoring that it takes a movies length to get to the first battle though lol. Forever will complain about that. Btw I'd still take Shadow Pelvic out to dinner
Believe it or not, my first and only play through, via the Vita, was an incredible run. I remember completing all social links and getting the true ending. This is one of the greatest games of all time
Golden was a ton more easy than vanilla p4. My favorite next to p2 duology. Gets compare to 5 alot but this one was just perfect for me as p5r was wayyyy too long but did certain things better
Tell me why I had to switch the game to very easy cause I came into the teddie boss severely under leveled lmfao. The forums all recommended to be levels 33-38 and I came in the fight a level 26 haha I was doing pretty good up until we all ran out of SP. Dudes health was only half way and I was like oh yeah we’re done. I’ll be back to finish the review when I’m done with the game
I wanna confess something: On my first playthrough I never figured out how to get the fishing rod.
......I had to look it up lmfao
Me either lol😭
I've playing since it got released on the Switch (I'm trying to play each game month with a real life month), have talked to a lot of npcs, including everyone on the river, and still no clue on how to get the fishing rod. The old man says it used to have one but it broke and idk if that's supposed to be a clue or not.
There is a hungry cat I have been starving cuz I only got fish from Tanaka damn it!
Same here. Also, I didn't know about the use of Goho-M on my first playthrough.
Same fam I didn't even know fishing was a thing
The Editing was just amazing 😂
I also bought Persona 4 Golden on the Switch. The game was currently on sale and I've never played any part of the series, but I always wanted to start. And before I buy P5 Royale for €60 and then be disappointed because the game might not meet my expectations despite the fantastic ratings from the reviewers, I thought it would be best to start with part 4. Loved the card at the end. Well done on the whole video.
I bought this game last night based on your recommendation and I'm more than pleased. The battle music...THE VICTORY MUSIC! So dang good 🔥🔥
Aw man this is surreal. I played P4 shortly after launch when I was in high school. 14 years later watching this video makes me feel a tinge of nostalgia for this fictional high school I never attended wtf lol
I remember the social link with the girl in school, who's father was dying in the hospital 🏥 talk about deep, very sad 😭
Finally! The official Pelvic gaming P4G review is here. You killed it with the editing on that intro.
Thank you!
whoa the editing on this one! kudos to the video editor!
Me :) and thank you!
I love love LOVED the editing on the opening on this video! And the production quality is just chef's kiss. You never fail to disappoint, Pelvic!

Haha, thank you! I was proud of this editing ngl. P5s cast is fine, but P4 just knocks it out of the park! Chie is my GYAL!!
This game really surprised me. The first 5 hours bored me so I almost uninstalled it from my vita.

AHHHHHHHHHH I'M SO GLAD YOU LOVE P4!! I feel like I only hear P4 discourse and not the genuine enjoyment of P4!
The card with the string, gave me a genuine good laugh. I needed that this morning! Thank you and enjoy your holidays!

Lmfao thank you! I dunno about that second part tho
Thank you so much for putting this amount of love in editing this video. Beary good, indeed.
such an awesome video, I loved the you accepting yourself part a lot, I miss these kinds of video reviews!
I couldn’t agree more with the music, straight bops. Persona 4 is great!
Absolutely love the format of this review. This was just so cool
Hehe, thank you! I poured a lot of love into it!

YAASSSSS love that you enjoyed the game! The last minute of the video was *chef's kiss* I was NOT ready for the card reveal LOL
Ngl I am super proud of this ending hahaha. Thank you for watching!
Loved Shadow Pelvic! I also had a rough first play through of P4G. You rock!
Persona 4 attract me to the series but I didn’t get to play it till these rereleases and I feel like it’s probably one of the best persona to start with for beginners of jrpg it’s really fun, and the cast will get them hooked
Yo, kudos on the production of this video. Really creative and I appreciate the analysis. 👏🏾👏🏾
I swear whenever I'm done with a game. This channel has a video about it
Amazing job! 10/10

Thanks Pelvic, now I want to play my old Persona 4 on my old PS2... Great content as usual. Keep on gaming!
I played Persona 4 Golden on the Vita AFTER playing through Persona 5, and honestly, while P5 is really good, I still think I ended up preferring P4G. It felt a little smaller scale, a little more "grounded," and the characters are just really enjoyable.

Thank you so much!
Highly highly entertaining review hahaha. Nicely done. The shadow stuff was a just very well executed.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!

It's up there for sure ♡
@@PelvicGaming Super nice!
I am you

we are one big happy family
Been JRPGing for years. Thinking about picking this up will be my First Time playing a Persona. Thank you for the video LADY 😊
Great video! Makes me want to replay it again!
Thanks pelvic, great vid👏
I just finished P4G last week on PC (Game Pass version), and I absolutely loved it!

Great video! I've been wanting to get into the Persona series, which game is a good one to start with?
I finished this game this year and i love it
So good
Chie _is_ the best girl! So happy we agree!
The bit of you facing yourself was genuinely funny.
She is! Also thank you! :)
I need to get back into this game
THE OPENING TO THIS IS SO COOL
Thanks! I worked so hard on it!
Been wanting to get into Persona after having a bad experience with 5 but wanting to give it another chance. I just don't know if I go with 4 or just jump straight into P5R. Excellent video ✨
What didn’t you like in p5?
I sometimes fight the urge To replay either persona 5-4-3.
With reloaded coming out and a new spin-off to 5 coming out. I have a lot to play. I kind of really want to play Persona 4 again.
I adore the anime, it's a perfect representation of the game in my opinion. The bath house scene had me in hysterics 😂
P4A right? Because P4GA isn't as funny
Great review! :) P4G is basically my favorite JRPG at this point and is definitely the one I've spent the most time in over the last few years. I like P5R of course, but p4 just "hits different" lol
It warms my heart to hear you say that! P4 is top tier for me. I gotta replay P3 to see if it's my favorite still. >.>;;
@@PelvicGaming good luck! I bought the new version on Steam Deck like...an hour before they announced the remake lol
I finished P4 twice a long time ago, maybe I should play P4G sometime soon, Rise was my favorite back then wonder if I play through it again will I find her annoying too. 😂
thanks for the video ❤
1 of my favorite rpgs ever, next to Golden Sun and FF9.
Im torn between getting it on the switch or ps4
i love shadow pel
Persona will always be a great series. Speaking of, which was your favorite persona to use while playing P4G?
I love Persona 4 more than other Persona even P5, P5 Royale.
When I played it for the first time in 2010 I wanted to date Yosuke.
We all want that ahah
great video! well done! :)
P4 was my introduction to the series, and i loved it. ive since gone on to beat P1, P3, P3P, The Answer, P5, P5R, and im working my way through the P2 duology currently. for some reason, P4G...just grates on me? and im not sure why. im just finding it bland, samey, and grating. which is so odd cuz its just a better version of the old one i played. i dunno. maybe i just dont like small town vibes. or maybe im just playing too many things currently lol.
"I wanted her off my dick."
I don't know why, but this made me laugh out loud. Maybe because I just wasn't expecting it.
Haha its true. I just wanted some space man.

Oh it's absolutely one of my top games for sure. What an incredible experience!
Everyday is great at your Junes!

This was perfection..... PERSONAfied. Hehe.
Omg, this was 🔥
I finished p4g 3 days ago for the first time, and got the true ending too. An absolute masterpiece
That warms my heart to hear!
Shadow Lady Pelvic 😨
This was one of my 5 games I had for the vita 😅
I just don't like the recasting of Chie's voice actor
NOOOOOOOOOOO I LOVE HER VOICE SO MUCH!!!
Like a top 3 all time favorite game for me. Absolutely love this game
too busy right now to watch but im leaving this comment for youtube interaction statistics to help boost the video. love p4.
I appreciate it!
Great video!
This is my Goated soundtrack and I loved P4D which is cannon and has a great story to go with the awesome music rhythm gameplay 🫶
I love this game so much. I replayed it on Hard last year and the early-game had some tough fights for sure.
Shadow Lady Pelvic about to cancel true self on twitter 😂😂😂
This is my most fav P4G review of all time period ✨️🌟✨️
Believe it or not, my first and only play through, via the Vita, was an incredible run. I remember completing all social links and getting the true ending. This is one of the greatest games of all time
Too true, it is a marvel all its own. It definitely deserves that level of respect.
🎉🎉😢😢😢😢😢😊
That opening is going to give me nightmares...
How long was your second (good) play through?
Golden was a ton more easy than vanilla p4. My favorite next to p2 duology. Gets compare to 5 alot but this one was just perfect for me as p5r was wayyyy too long but did certain things better

Dudes health was only half way and I was like oh yeah we’re done. I’ll be back to finish the review when I’m done with the game
