    *Great unit that’s easy to install and use. It’s relatively quiet compared to window units and **Fastly.Cool** , and it cools down our whole living room, side room and bathroom; which is a large space for any unit to cool.*

    12:21 so.....what kind of google home hub is that next to your bed with a side-speaker??

    • @BigCVlogs
      @BigCVlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is a Lenovo Smart Display. It was one of the first Google Home screens, before Nest Hub and just after the first Google home speaker from Google. They made these in a 7 and 10 inch display.

    Thanks. Found this video after I have long since thrown away the box. So guess my fan won't be smart. 🙄😱😢 And I have a different version of a Hampton Bay fan but didn't realize I had a dimmer until you showed how yours worked. Thanks for the video.

      You should have a code sticker on the inside of the ceiling fan, I believe it's under the plate attached to the smart home wifi box. (The little white part that sticks out to get a wifi signal) I think putting it on the instructions is a terrible idea myself, most people throw those away.

      The QR code sticker is inside the remote where you add batteries

    Thank you for this. Only wish you could have gone through different colors & dimness on each. Wait, this is not an outdoor fan? Oh no.

      Sadly no, not an outdoor fan. I thought I did show the colors and brightness. Maybe I didn't add the clips.

    I actually want just a smart Hampton Bay smart Hubspace remote controller for my bedroom ceiling fan so I get all this Google Home and automated functionality so it not only saves some energy, but also cut down on using ANY pull cords to speed up my fan in the spring and summer and turn on or off the light separately.

    I just installed mine and you don’t need to let the cable/sensor out the thing. All the cables are hidden and it works great with Alexa.

    Hi...just curious on longevity of this fan...do you still hv this fan and is it working fine or do you have any issues?
    Thanks for the great video 😊

      Hello! I actually do. I moved the fan when we moved houses. Still using it till the day.

    Does the light spread around the room or does it only light straight down? I read some reviews where it doesn't spread across the room.

    • @BigCVlogs
      @BigCVlogs  ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends on the room. We had one in a larger room and I can say the corners of the room was darker. We have another one in a bedroom that is smaller and its more than bright enough.

    can you still connect this to a standard wall switch to operate the light? or is it remote/voice control only?

    • @BigCVlogs
      @BigCVlogs  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could, but first you would have to set the fan speed and lights from the remote. Then you could use the regular wall switch. To change the fan speed or lights you would have to use the remote because it doesn't have any pull strings. (Or a voice assistant)

    If my fan already has the generic remote, can I just change the dip switches on the smart remote instead of replacing the entire receiver assembly orrrrrr..is that not how it works lol

    • @BigCVlogs
      @BigCVlogs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sadly I am not sure on this. With this being a smart ceiling fan, my guess would be only the included remote would work.

    • @unityxg
      @unityxg ปีที่แล้ว

      @BigC Vlogs thanks for the reply! No worries. I was originally just going to try to find the remote on ebay and change the dip switches to match but it looks like I'll have to get the whole kit lol. Thanks again! Cool setup also.

    Did you have a red wire coming out of you ceiling mount

    • @BigCVlogs
      @BigCVlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did end up leaving that outside the mount. I am not sure if it should be, but thats how it seemed so thats how I left it lol.

    You lost me at “I don’t think I’ve ever had a buggy at Home Depot” 😂😂😂

    • @BigCVlogs
      @BigCVlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      😂😂😂 I really don't think I have till then. I didn't buy a home till this one, always rented and called a landlord. So whenever I went in Home Depot it was for like 1 or 2 items lol.

    What smart hub is this?

    • @BigCVlogs
      @BigCVlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's built into the fan, but the app is HubSpace.
