Weird people will attack this game because Eve hasn't been uglified. Guess they want to play as someone who looks more like them.

@@maddieisjuicy2618 Nope, nobody said they wanted the main character to be "uglified", whatever that's supposed to mean.
There were a lot of culture-war obsessed people _claiming_ that people were going after the game for the protagonist's design, but in truth people only started talking about the subject _because_ of those claims, and even then the discussion has largely remained confined to the former circles.
Even after that happened, the points made regarding unrealistic beauty standards were more pointed at the modelling industry than the game itself.
It's a manufactured controversy from a vocal minority of people who have nothing better to do with their time than claim the "woke" are out to get them.

1. No one's going to say "I'm wildly unattractive, so I want video game characters to be unattractive too." And by the way, if you check a dictionary you'll know what uglified means - the word has been around longer than you have.
2. Is FORBES part of the vocal minority you were talking about, confined to small social circles?

3. In my research I didn't see a single person attack the modeling industry because of Stellar Blade. They just attacked the use of a beautiful Korean model who was not uglified in the game.
4. "Nothing better to do" like trolling videos about Stellar Blade? Why are you even here? Reasonable people who dislike something avoid it, but instead you're here complaining and using misinformation.
I love the combat and the cosmetics in this game especially.
And the acrobatics. They are wonderful to watch and acrobatics cut scenes blend seamlessly with gameplay acrobatics. It is gorgeous.
@@Viewable11I agree. The acrobatics also remind me a bit of high budget anime fight scenes.
Sony may have tried to censor me as well.
W review and W game in my opinion. I love Eve and her personality too actually. She's very innocent but interesting.
I'm playing the uncensored disc version, but i really wish i could turn off film grain which is an option in day 1 patch. 🤔
This is my main issue with the idea of modern gaming and day 1 patches, and I guess patches in general. The game is done very well on-disc, but say they add a photo mode later (which I want) but don't uncensor those outfits... then you have to pick and chose between pros and cons. How is the responsiveness of the blocking on the unpatched disc? Every time I connected to PSN, even after turning off all auto updates, the game still automatically would update when I played it, despite having the disc. It's really annoying.
@@DJayRPG responsiveness feels fine as far as I can tell. Supposedly patch makes it better, but I haven't tested it. Currently I am completely disconnected from the internet to prevent the update.
You asked if we had any favorite games coming from Korea. I had to look at a list to see what games I played came from Korea. So far the only game I completed is Gungrave Gore. I didn’t get far in Lies of P because I’m bad at Souls games.
I bought two games, The Coma and its sequel Vicious Sisters. Didn’t play them yet. They looked pretty cool.

Nice! I'm glad the game looks fun to play, at least. I'll admit, I'm not into hacker/slasher combat systems in games much, but I do enjoy me some very open world RPG elements with exploring, leveling up, and looting items.
People who get offended by a woman's beauty need to take chill-pills and reexamine their own lives and why they get so offended in the first place. Who cares if she's a pretty woman? How does that affect the gameplay? Why does anyone care if I or any male gamer thinks she's hot? Don't people have their own lives to worry about?
I'll give this game a shot just because I want to be selfish and support my own love of gaming and freedom of speech and expression. Not to mention this'll be yet another addition to my physical media collection which I'll treasure until the day I croak.
I hope the sales of this game perform just as well as Hogwarts Legacy or maybe even better.

If you guys want to go and play the game uncensored like me, you have to buy a physical copy and don't download Sony's censorship patches.
Little off topic, but do you think you'll be playing "The Last Ronin" when it comes out?
The TMNT one? I would like to. Tbh, I'd also like to get back into TMNT more. I'm pretty unversed on them outside of the 2003 show (which I adore) and some of the sidescrollers. I don't really own any TMNT comics, but would like to. I also wanted some comics of Last Ronin but they're all expensive and hard to find when I look them up.

It's a fantastic game... but make sure you get the physical copy. So you can play it offline and without day 1 patch... some stuff got censored do we are all hoping that it will be reverted... nothing huge though :) but deff get it!!
I agree with you on that brother, the story, combat and lore behind it is all good, the problem is the fact the they censored it at the last minute but again it’s an amazing game

First off, I really appreciate it and I'm glad you're having so much fun. This isn't a KH only thing, but to me it's very eccentric (in a good way) with its Asian identity. The game is very willing to lean into anime-like inspirations, which reminds me a lot of how KH presents it's story. On top of that, the real thing that reminds me of it in terms of gameplay is playing KH on something like Proud or Critical mode where you're really trying to take into account dodging, parrying attacks and what can feel like boss memorization but is really just being able to learn patterns. It's again something that's not exclusive to KH, that's just a series I have a lot of exposure to, but could also be applied to Souls like games. The main reason I think of KH sometimes is the flashy combat and animations along with the timing being faster than a typical souls game (outside of Bloodborne I suppose).
10:05 Zion is more likely a derivative of the biblical City of Zion, seeing as the biblical theming in this game is very heavy (Nier did this as well tho and the game wears its inspiration on its sleeve). For clarification, Zion is a city of refuge that God appointed for the people of Israel.

Definitely worth $70. For what it is, it’s as perfect as it would get. Gameplay is smooth and tight, music is incredible, story is good, a LOT of side content and HOPEFULLY a sequel.
I was actually surprised at how good the music is in the game.

I honestly don't care about EVE's appearance. If Stellar Blade's whole entire game was rebranded as another Jedi Survivor sequel, nobody would really care. However, a lot of people are making a huge deal about EVE's appearance when they're missing out on Stellar Blade's
- gameplay
- soundtrack
- story
- themes
- monster designs??? All the monsters have been made traditionally with clay sculpting, with wise intention to make EVE's attacks feel powerful and visceral, and yet people are worried about EVE's looks???
It happened with Samus, Lara Croft, Bayonetta, 2B, and now EVE.
The only thing I'm mad about censorship wise is the removal of blood on EVE's face when executing a finisher. It removes a portion of satisfaction after beating a tough boss from Souls-Like games. The Last of Us 2 gets to have millions of bloody organs burst out of a human and zombie enemy when shooting them with a revolver or shot gun, but Stellar Blade is not allowed to have a blood rain...
If you have the chance, give Stellar Blade a shot to support Shift Up, so they can make a sequel and expand Stellar Blade's story and world. 🤗👍❤✨🗡️
Great video! The game is great (disc), even if Sony keeps forcing me to update. I had to reinstall the game offline just to get my preorder n deluxe. The Story is great, dark & good Indepth adventure while exploring. If the game had a recovery system after death, it'll be more souls like lol. Downside I'll say about the game, is adding some more music or none in some of the scenes to give it more life.

Tbh I thought it was more worth the 70 than most games I've seen lately, but the only game I recently feel like was REALLY worth the money and could have been more was Elden Ring, just because of the depth and amount of content behind it.
@@AlwaysCorrect-ke6tt Elden Ring was on another level of AAA gaming. Ubisoft liked to tout Skull & Bones as AAAA, but Elden Ring might've actually been the closest to that label yet. That was off topic, but still. Anyway, if you think Stellar Blade is worth it for $70 that's cool. It's just not comfortable for me to put that money down rn. I'm also waiting for the eventual PC release for some...... specific mods 😏
Hopefully it will land on PC because I think that would solve any censorship issues because it puts it in the communities hands. For ME personally it was worth the money, but I am hard pressed to spend full price on any game nowadays, so I also get it. No judgement from me. If you're interested at all, I am playing through it on Degenerate Plays, so it could give you a better idea of the game overall and let you see some of it before a PC release. I'm not the best, but i've gotten a lot better at the game. I appreciate both of you watching, and I agree that Elden Ring is just insanely worth the money. From Software always delivers.
