I've been extremely busy preparing for the Eau Claire Comic Con, which is actually tomorrow when I upload this, on September 14th. This video was originally made all the way back in 2022, but I wanted to re-edit it, make it better, and share it again here. Square has done a bad job over the years of having it's games' stories be accessible and chronological. Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy, and especially Kingdom Hearts. KH is the worst though because each game sequentially assumes you've played through and understand the previous ones, but there are so many different gameplay genres, and because core story and lore is locked behind hours of mobile games (and now a rhythm game with MoM). I just don't have the tolerance, care, or time to play through games with gameplay I don't like or to watch text cutscene on TH-cam, because what has kept me hooked on KH is the unique action RPG gameplay just as much as the story. It's a lot to ask from fans getting into or continuing the story.

If they did micro transactions it wouldn’t have been so successful.

JP version stays up but there's no plan to migrate your Global account over there. So it's useless.

I played a lot of Brave Exvius and I spent maybe $100 over my time playing it. Not a whole lot. But this problem does make you second guess spending money on mobile games because they are so temporary. I am currently playing Dragonball Dokkan and haven't spent any money on it because once it's gone, all the money I spent is gone. The people at SquareEnix surely understand that they are making in-game purchases a much harder sell with every mobile game they shut down.

This is why I refuse to invest in any mobile-online games that are NOT MMO's. Any game that's phone/APP related like that is just a bottomless pit to throw money in you'll never see back in most cases, and they can shut it down any time. At least with big MMO's, they tend to last a lot longer. I don't play those much anymore either strictly due to my life's own time constraints, but anything I play digitally would most likely be limited to that type of online genre. Even then though, there's always the looming shadow or "threat" of when the company behind the game just says "Well, that's enough", and all of that time investment just goes "poof". Basically, with online games, you're playing on that game's company time clock. That's one source of stress in my life I don't need.

I hope Square gives us the option of changing the sprites to the original versions as well as like the high res versions. The sprites on the pixel remasters suck! For instance on Final Fantasy VI, the sprites on the SNES is better then the ones on the pixel remaster.

The sporty yellow outfit with the kill kill on the shoulder looked sick and the leds on the side not only looked cool as hell they really helped me keep track of eve in any of the darker sections of the game/underwater ocean maid and the racers high new game plus variants were my other favorites for reasons 😂

Like I keep saying, we need to make Stellar Blade win game of the year (GOTY) Why? The add attractive looking character in the game, something that western developers refuse to do. This game has been receiving knockback by people that don`t like the game coz of the way Eve looks (which is bloody stupid) but despite that the game has been successful. Kim Hung Tae has done an amazing job with this game, him and the team has put so much effort into the game like the lip sick between the English and the Korean version are completely different. And remember, they didn`t have to do this. They have been giving out free DLCs. They have given us over 30 outfits, what other game does that? The fact they made a hack & slash game in my eyes (which has been in the decline for some years now) is amazing. This if their first time making a console game and for the most part it`s a success. They didn`t just make a boring souls-like, they mixed it up with hack & slash elements, bringing people they like those genres to their game which was very smart of them. For the most part, they listen to want the fans want/ask for. I know people want to choose other games to win GOTY however if you do, nothing will change and no statement will be made. We need to make a statement to developers that what Shift Up are doing is what we want in videogames. Now if you don`t like Stellar blade that`s understandable however if you do I ask you to choose Stellar Blade for GOTY. If you want game developers to buck up their ideas Stellar Blade needs to win it.

Relating to this topic is Nintendo making an offline version of Animal Crossing Pocket Camp where it'll be purchasable. Someday that will also become delisted due to not being updated for newer firmware updates but it makes me happy they're at least doing something for it
