If you use just Tor, they will never know the person they are monitoring is the same person because Facebook is looking at one IP and Snapchat is looking at another. They can't correlate your facebook ID with Snapchat ID. Thus limiting their spying operation. When you use a VPN on top of Tor however, all your Tor exit nodes go through the VPN which only has 1 IP not 2 different IP. This time both Facebook and Snapchat can see the same IP address they are getting messages from. @@mouradtiger-yr8bi because with a vpn every request you do on the internet goes to the vpn provider before and they can see what you're trying to do. it's just giving information to another company that probably logs everything (nordvpn has logs of every user action), and tor is already doing a great job at making you anonymous. Plus, a lot of vpn companies cooperate with law enforcement if they ask infos
