- Monkey Bike ride 1000km across Peru, South America off-road on crappy 90cc Monkey Bikes from Ayachucho in the Andes to Atalya in the Amazon jungle.
We mostly pulled 12 hour days for 6 days in the jungle heat, mud, dust, cold and rain.

Monkey and DAX bikes been gettin people around the rough parts of the 3rd world for almost half a century. Good to see they still live on

These z50s are so indestructible. Hard to believe they can hold soo much weight and still go.Im almost finished with my 1969 z50. Btw Great video
beach side I bet the z50s are pretty solid. I rode a Skyteam Bongo 90cc Chinese copy. Still goes, stil carries fatties with luggage and breaks twice as much! That's half the fun ;)

Honda monkey? Or jincheng or skyteam? In finalnd there are alot of monkey bikes because you can drive them 50cc when youre 15 years old.

Hey awesome video! Just wondering, roughly how much did the full trip cost you? (not including flights) did you have to book your own hotels or was there someone through the adventurists that helped you?
Excluding flights, maybe £2k all in. Haha na the Adventurists supply a start party, some training, the bike and finish party everything in between, you're on your own, just how it should be!

Did you check the milage? Some at it will go up to 67 km/L! Is that true?
Interesting point, need some good quality audio to fill the gap, a lot of it is engine noise. These were 90cc, got it up to 60km which was more than enough on a decent flat road. Mileage at the end over 1100km so 700 odd miles
Sorry about the typos. I meant how far did it go per liter fuel. The new monkey 125 is said to go 67 km per liter...

I know right! Although there are still some places you dont want to risk going in that part of the world, which influenced our a route a lot.

@@ludo3971 Le réservoir de 8 litres a duré toute la journée pour nous. Nous avions un ensemble de douilles, clé réglable, un multi-outil, un peu de fil de clôture... et un peu de chance!

Freddie Travels You did not have any technical problems with the skyteam?
Quintus Müller yeah, dirt going into fuel injection system, numerous flat tyres, mud guards bend and snap off easily, chain tensioner breaks easily, its easy to bend the back break pedal and gear shifters in and the electronics blow fuses easily... Apart from that they are pretty okay!
Freddie Travels Thank's. I heard so much that Skyteam had a very bad reputation. Rust, screws leaving, tires of very poor quality, etc ... I think buy the honda even if it costs more than double.
