It's my favorite card, and my favorite clip of them starting a scene in the middle of an argument, meaning they had been already arguing for some time about macs dad and the guy finishing on eachother and the dynamics of the dominance in said finishing on each other
The delivery of the official talking about butts at 2:41 is perfect. They've talked on the podcast about how hard it is to get a real dry down-to-earth character reacting to the gang and not being extra, and this guy does it super well. Very lovely scene.
@@puffythedestroyer8878 nope, Geoff Pierson! But you're 100% right about the voice, man. He tends to play law enforcement/military/authoritative types, for obvious reasons.
Mac reminds me of so many male conservatives, where it’s painfully obvious they think trans women are hot, and they hate that so much that they overcompensate
@@R0FLC4T5 Def agree! S1 is not great with her character, and they themselves have admitted that using the t-slur wasn't a good choice in hindsight, but besides that it's incredible portrayal for a 00's sitcom. Take HIMYM as contrast and holy hell, I'd say it was boundary pushing for its time.
It's not explicitly a titlecard punchline, but my favorite cutaway to the title card was "The Gang gets Quarantined" because Dennis just gives up at trying to recapture the moment and the show just moves on.
"This literally means nothing to me" Weirdly my favorite it's always sunny line. I love the way he looks side to side to make sure everyone sees how aloof he is.
I think about this moment a lot. The comedic timing, the characterization, the body control, the awareness... absolutely masterful comedic acting. How have they not been buried in a mountain of awards? ... as an ensemble, the show, and both Charlie and Dennis individually.
I still love that Carmen (the trans woman) is basically the only character in the show that is living happily with no real negative effects from interacting with the gang
There are a few characters like that. That ponderosa guy was on a downward spiral already when he met the gang, the army guy with the jean shorts was wholly unaffected even when involved several times. There's also Artemis and some others that slipped my mind.
Sweet Dee Gets Audited is the first episode I ever saw when it happened to be on in the background at my friend’s house. I was already hooked after the title card joke. That episode has a special place in my heart lol
Charlie: “We’re gonna go America all over their asses!” *Charlie Goes America All Over Everybody’s Ass* Idk why but that one makes me laugh every time.
Pucci: “My sister is dating our long lost brother without realizing it. I need to do something.” Pucci Resets The Universe It’s Always Sunny On Green Dolphin Street
That is exactly what happened actually yeah. He was always a trump supporter and once Democrats realized that he was a Kennedy but not a Democrat? He started pulling votes from trump and dropped out. And he's probably gonna get a job out of it plenty of people paid him plenty of money.
@noahkarpinski1824 kinda yeah lol his VP pick was his biggest doner. They both agreed we should drop out when it became apparent that they were harming their preferred candidate in Trump and not Kamala and the dems. A good end to a mediocre political dinnesty?
This show might not have this problem, at least not as much as other shows/movies about terrible people. Mainly because I doubt people would align themselves with characters routinely portrayed as pathetic losers.
Dennis: We have aspirations outside of this bar. Deandra: We got big dreams, Mac. We're gonna go follow 'em. Mac: You guys have nothing without this bar. Dennis: Don't worry about us, Mac. We'll be just fine. *Dennis and Dee Go on Welfare*
Frank sets sweet dee on fire makes me laugh so hard every single time
I remember watching it when it aired forever ago and the collective looks of "oh nooo" my then-roommates and I made at eachother.. priceless.
Agreed, I feel like that title card drop has never been topped.
Same!
Others may come close, but this is still the all time best
it's funny cuz you expect the title'd be "the gang gets hurt" but no, it's something this specific lmao
"Mac and Charlie Die" is so god damn funny. Peak comedic timing.
You only get to use that title once in the show's run, and they used it to its fullest.
This is the best card and there is not arguing
"mac kills his dad" is my favourite, it's such a classic
Was waiting for it in the vid, really is a classic
I laughed so hard when I read the title
It's my favorite card, and my favorite clip of them starting a scene in the middle of an argument, meaning they had been already arguing for some time about macs dad and the guy finishing on eachother and the dynamics of the dominance in said finishing on each other
Same here!!!
The fact that Mac accused his own dad of rape is fkin hillarious
“The gang gets racist” is a classic, such a great name for the first ep
Fr, title alone almost got me interested in the series because it felt like such a curb to thing to start with
The “sweet dee gets audited” and “frank sets sweet dee on fire” is definitely the best title reveal ever.
The delivery of the official talking about butts at 2:41 is perfect. They've talked on the podcast about how hard it is to get a real dry down-to-earth character reacting to the gang and not being extra, and this guy does it super well. Very lovely scene.
I’m still 69.99% sure that was Frank Welker.
& if it wasn’t, god gifted that man some fine chords 🗿.
@@puffythedestroyer8878 nope, Geoff Pierson! But you're 100% right about the voice, man. He tends to play law enforcement/military/authoritative types, for obvious reasons.
Guy on the left almost laughed
8:22 This is my absolute favorite. The smug way she says it, that head bopping she does, it just kills me every time. What a stupid bird.
That whole episode was so great!
It's one of my favorite cold opens. Also - I love the smug way that Dennis head bops for "The Gang Desperately Tries to Win an Award"
“Uh, you guys better eat a dick cause Sweet Dee beat the system!”
SWEET DEE GETS AUDITED 😂😂😂
"uhh, you guys all better eat a dick" is so funny and the way she says it is even funnier
Such an underrated part of the show. Everybody else talks about Pepe Silvia or Magnum Dongs but where is the love for these title card jokes?
I'm gonna tell 'em you said you were gonna eat my butt
Disagree. I knew about the titles cards years before the rest of the show.
Ignore that jabroni’s response. You’re right, these are gold.
*THERE IS NO PEPE SILVIA!!*
I share your pain. Can I offer you an egg in this trying time? 🥚
"Mac Fights Gay Marriage" only gets funnier as time goes on.
Mac reminds me of so many male conservatives, where it’s painfully obvious they think trans women are hot, and they hate that so much that they overcompensate
The entire early show arc with the trans lady is amazing with Mac. It aged like fine wine.
@@R0FLC4T5 it just adds so much more to his insecurity and inability to accept his sexuaoity
@@R0FLC4T5 Def agree! S1 is not great with her character, and they themselves have admitted that using the t-slur wasn't a good choice in hindsight, but besides that it's incredible portrayal for a 00's sitcom. Take HIMYM as contrast and holy hell, I'd say it was boundary pushing for its time.
no it doesn't
I'm crying at charlie ready to type the question at 7:20 he looks like he didn't understand half the words
That's what he gets for putting Charlie at the keyboard
Well yeah, they lose the 30 seconds to get an answer from Charlie trying to type words in
It's not explicitly a titlecard punchline, but my favorite cutaway to the title card was "The Gang gets Quarantined" because Dennis just gives up at trying to recapture the moment and the show just moves on.
Just move past it
"This literally means nothing to me" Weirdly my favorite it's always sunny line.
"Sweet Dee Gets Audited" is my is one of my all time favorites..."The Gang Gets New wheels" should've been added to this compilation.
Sweet Dee did not beat the system
The way she was grinning wobbling her head was the best. She was so proud of herself.
6:47 "Dennis Gets Divorced" is so fucking funny. Probably my favorite in the whole series.
timeless
His laugh right before the cut YESSSS
😂😂😂
7:35 the original perfectly cut scream
Mac: "I'm gonna save my dad's life"
Tittle: Mac kills his dad
hahahahh so good
Well edited, and thanks for showing it in chronological order!
How could you forget "Charlie Goes America On Everybody's Ass'? That one's hilarious.
Charlie's scream at 7:38 is pure gold.
My reaction seeing the remake of paper mario ttyd on the switch
"Guys, did you ever notice that we stop after talking for a long amount of time, usually after a question"
"The gang break the fourth wall"
A smash cut to an ironic title card is one of my favorite gags, glad you made a compilation
While I cracked up at all of them, I fucking died at Dennis Gets Divorced, that's the funniest one imo.
The title card jokes are my favorite part of the series
I still love that Carmen (the trans woman) is basically the only character in the show that is living happily with no real negative effects from interacting with the gang
Huh. That is nice. Kind of the exact opposite of what I'd expect to happen, especially in a show like this. (I've never seen it.)
i would argue Artemis is also seemingly impervious to the gang's corroding aura
There are a few characters like that. That ponderosa guy was on a downward spiral already when he met the gang, the army guy with the jean shorts was wholly unaffected even when involved several times. There's also Artemis and some others that slipped my mind.
Gail the snail, unfortunately
Also, Dee’s stupid boyfriend in the D.E.N.N.I.S. Episode, and lil kev, and the black guy from the first episode
Ultimately the one and only show that can provide us some good laughs before it even starts.
“Mac Fights Gay Marriage” is LETHAL
3:44 cut out the best part lmao: "youre not gonna say that exactly are you?" "Yeah I think the whole butt business is really gonna sell it"
One that I think’s underrated is “The Gang Exploits A Miracle”
I've gotten people hooked on the show because of the title card for S6 E2. It's just so on point
Sweet Dee Gets Audited is the first episode I ever saw when it happened to be on in the background at my friend’s house. I was already hooked after the title card joke. That episode has a special place in my heart lol
Rewatched the series to catch up and the titlecards dropping are such an underrated thing with how much funny stuff this show pumps out
"Sweet Dee beat the system!" -Dee gets audited
The parole board guy who sounds like Robert Stack reading Charlie's "so hard the room stinks" monologue is incredible.
“Dee gets audited” was peak sunny humour
"Nobody's gonna get hurt!"
Frank sets Sweet Dee on Fire
Love the lines before the title card. My fav is the scamming one followed by the timeshare ep.
My favorite is from season 1 where Mac says “We need to buy a gun”
That one is SO good
Dennis: I want to be very clear about something. This literally means nothing to me.
*The Gang Tries Desperately to Win an Award*
6:48 Marleen playing along with being mime-choked by Dennis always gets me
Charlie: “We’re gonna go America all over their asses!”
*Charlie Goes America All Over Everybody’s Ass*
Idk why but that one makes me laugh every time.
I remember binge watching iasip and i had to pause the video in "frank sets sweet dee on fire" episode because of how much i laughed
Such an iconic title-to-themesong.
The Gang Misses the Boat and the Gang Tries Desperately to Win an Award are two of my favorites hahahaha
7:00 best one, hands down. the fucking SCREECH Charlie lets out is hysterical.
Frank: How's anybody gonna get hurt?
*Frank Sets Sweet Dee on Fire*
My personal favorite
We’re gonna dance our asses off!
“The gang dance their asses off.”
Basic "It's Always Sunny" title card setup:
Setup: What could possibly happen?
Punchline/Titlecard: "Something Possibly Happens"
It was the title card gags that pushed this show over the edge for me, from funny to 'best sitcom' ever in my opinion. The final one is the best.
Pucci: “My sister is dating our long lost brother without realizing it. I need to do something.”
Pucci Resets The Universe
It’s Always Sunny On Green Dolphin Street
Enrico Talks To The Klan
Now imagine this….
Dennis: I’m finally gonna turn my life around
The Gang goes to prison
Maybe they're saving that for the series finale
9:04 Veiled dig at the Emmys for not nominating Always Sunny
macs big break KILLS me😂😂😂😂
my favorite is definitely "Mac and Dennis go on a manhunt"
“Hes onto us” 😂
1:08 Frank predicts RFK JR
That is exactly what happened actually yeah. He was always a trump supporter and once Democrats realized that he was a Kennedy but not a Democrat? He started pulling votes from trump and dropped out. And he's probably gonna get a job out of it plenty of people paid him plenty of money.
RFK is so unfortunate no one will ever vote for that voice, lol. Must suck to have a voice like that
@noahkarpinski1824 kinda yeah lol his VP pick was his biggest doner. They both agreed we should drop out when it became apparent that they were harming their preferred candidate in Trump and not Kamala and the dems. A good end to a mediocre political dinnesty?
Doubtful they willingly paid a Kennedy, but ol Bernie on the other hand...
Frank sets sweet dee on fire will never be beaten. That one is just so pitch perfect
Aww, my favorite is when The Gang Dances Their Asses Off
The jihad punchline is literally what made me truly invested into the show.
Mac: “I’m gonna save my dad’s life!”
“Mac Kills His Dad”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
These are very satisfying to watch.
2:27
The title punchline woulda been funnier if they had cut out the "they're onto us" bit
mac and charlie die always cracks me up it’s so fucking good
I love how the title sums up the entire plot.
"The gang tries desperately to win an award" & still somehow they have never even been nominated for an Emmy or golden globe💔
3:50 the timing is perfect
Can you imagine that there are a lot of people who missed the joke and take the series as a relatable life guide? Crazy, right?
Are these “people” in the room with us right now?
Crazy. Even impossible maybe. I'd almost say that you're talking a load of b******t.
*laughs nervously* “yeah…”
This show might not have this problem, at least not as much as other shows/movies about terrible people.
Mainly because I doubt people would align themselves with characters routinely portrayed as pathetic losers.
That look on Dennis's face before the "gang runs for office" pops up always gets me.
How could you not include "Charlie Rules The World"...? The line from Dennis is the greatest lead in to a title card.
The Timeshare is a personal favorite. Gosh I love the title cards.
Chardee McDennis game of games, best episode eva😂
The bit when charlie screams after mac wins the radio questionnaire is the best lmfao
6:09 this is just most marriages under 25
That scene at the beginning of sweet dee gets audited is some top notch Dee writing.
Sunny is one of those rare shows that isn't like anything else on TV.
The head wobble Sweet Dee does with the helmet so God damn funny
no matter how many times i watch it’s always sunny the title cards always get me
Dennis: Boca Raton? Or the official soft drink of _BOKO HARAM?_
Frank: whoops.
*Wolf Cola: A Public Relations Nightmare*
Politics really are one big ass blast.
I've always loved the title punchlines. 😂😂
Dennis: "we don't get got, we go get.
...
*Mac and Dennis buy a timeshare*
“Dee sinks in a bog” takes me out every time
My favorite by far is 'The Gang Runs for Office' one.
Is it bad that all I see now is Luigi when I see Charlie Day?
This show is soo damn good. Seeing this makes me wanna rewarch it again.
Laurence: I will not forget our adage.
“Laurence Causes the Beastly Scourge”
Lol!
I love when Charlie screams. Lol
6:42 Dennis has some real Homelander energy there
Mac and Dennis buy a timeshare is still my all time favorite
Dennis: We have aspirations outside of this bar.
Deandra: We got big dreams, Mac. We're gonna go follow 'em.
Mac: You guys have nothing without this bar.
Dennis: Don't worry about us, Mac. We'll be just fine.
*Dennis and Dee Go on Welfare*
"Sweet cameltoe! Good tug job, you got it taped back there?" The fact that that's the first thing Mac says to Carmen makes it even more hilarious
I absolutely loved this show
I’ve survived many winters without these berries
They need to do more of this, it's so funny
Frank: *scratches his balls.
“The Gang Commits Medical Terrorism.”
Mac kills his dad is easily my favorite IASIP title card punchline
dennis gets a divorce is my favorite cut to a title card in the whole show
0:26 cant tell if thats a N64 or Og Xbox controller
0:54 Frank when he looked like Danny DeVito
It’s an Xbox controller
That's very obviously not an n64 controller lmao have you ever seen one
"Don't worry about us, we'll be just fine..."
Dennis and Dee Go On Welfare
😂😂😂
I just realized Frank never explained how he got stuck in that coil.
"It's got air intake valves" *Drives it into water.
Dennis: We're not missing that boat.
*The Gang Misses the Boat*
