They really went through a lot. During the times when Cristina was devastated, everyone urged her to be back but only Derek really cared about her needs. And they are both Mer's person. I guess this is the best part if the friendship 😭💔
I cant help but think that the main reason Yang took Shane with her is because she knew what it was like when her teacher left. She spent a long time stranded in purgatory after Burke until Teddy showed up.
also because he has a natural drive towards cardiothoracics like her. she sees him becoming something amazing like what teddy and thomas saw with her. she lost both of them and she didn’t want to stop teaching him.
rena organ and he is the reason she technically won the harper avery. without him she wouldn't have been pushed to 3d for her patients. I loved them working together even though he was annoying lol
That little second of Derek flapping his eyelids as he realizes she is really leaving is so powerful. You can feel he is really saying goodbye to true friend..
i think bailey taught her that. remember when christina inserting balloon pump at webber without damaging his heart. and bailey ask christina to hug her back as she was so worried and relief after christina pulled through. that was a nice moment for christina.
The scene of Christina saying goodbye to Derek really hit me. They saved each other. Christina saved him from the gun man and Derek was the reason she was able to manage her PTSD and become a surgeon again. They truly respected each other and were bonded by their love for Meredith

Bailey ruined that part for me by her reaction to being hugged. Always talking about having "raised her babies" and that's your reaction when one is saying goodbye & that's the last time you'll ever see her? Especially one who isn't a hugger! That should have been sweet, but she killed it acting like it was an annoyance. And it seemed out of place because Bailey has hugged a lot of people before.

You think if Bailey was acting up for real that’s what she would said and that’s how her face would be🤔
