This looks cool, but MOTHER'S burning effect looks like a regeneration from Doctor Who, which is pretty funny, not gonna lie.

I’m going to be honest, I love this update but they did downgrade Hourglass’s death.
The fact it only showed the door underneath on fire was much more ominous and sinister, and the fire particles mixed with the embers were much more detailed
Idk, showing the door just in fire kinda sucks, seeing hourglass screaming and suffering is scarier
@@TheMortimerBoy But it feels like he isn't showing much emotion as he's dying. When it was left up to the imagination in 1.0, you could easily imagine Hourglass thrashing around behind the door, desperately trying to escape the flames. Here, he's just staring down Jake. Plus, the old screams just sounded better in my opinion

@@goldalien2016 what I would’ve done I would have stuck to him being visible but him violently trying to escape clawing and ramming and I would do same with mothers but keep the glowing eyes
personally 2.0 for me was a alright experience. I don't think I'll be replaying it anytime soon unlike 1.0 (Yes I do still own believe it or not) but I do like the new added cutscene of mother and hourglass burning alive

i have a theory that mother could still be alive mickmick could be her puppet, a vehicle that she can control cuz while mickmick on his way to the office mother is seen in the cams trying to corrupt the camera and also mickmick eyes are the same as mother too and the music wont lure mickmick if it has mothers eyes

That's just you being able to see em outside when you lure them to the window
It's the optimal place to have her be in, since it's the farthest from your room.
It can also be used to make sure she is still there when coming back from the attic, which she most likely will not be.

Ok so, at this point we know mother and hour-glass are dead, but what’s up with the face? Is he still alive I don’t think we got confirmation on that. Cause it’s stated that mother has no control on him, he easily coulda just dipped out the window or something.

I'm honestly kinda annoyed you can't hear the faint Mother screams at the end of her death cutscene, I think that really hammered home how this was finally the end of GOD's torment of Jake. I also feel like Hourglass's death was better in the original, it just seemed a bit goofy how he was standing there dying, I imagined he'd be violently thrashing around, and not being able to see it also just felt more impactful, since the brutality of the act (Which really isn't present here at all) is left up to the imagination
Honestly, ALL of the animations just feel like an amateur SFM video, the original felt more raw and visceral. And Mother's death being a still image actually made it seem like a film real was not only burning out but also broken, literally stopping on a single frame of Mother reaching out, with true fear in her eyes
1.0 was pretty controversial radiance wasn't impressed with it and saying "hourglass death in the original is better" is pretty funny to me his death now is a lot better and you can actually see him being killed unlike before its just a door blocking everything which wasn't good at all. They improved the animations in 2.0 which is what they wanted to do and so did multiple people. Mothers death isn't a image anymore it's completely animated unlike before all I'm gonna say is you are obviously blinded by old stuff that aren't good at all and it's very obvious I can agree mothers screaming was good but the sound when she burns is just a lot better and so is the animated fire
Radiance wanted to work on things and fix things and they did exactly that 1.0 wasn't good

Granted, the 2.0 stuff is actually really nice, I just feel like Hourglass's death could've had more emotion behind it, like, he doesn't even seem all that upset as he burns in this version. As for mother's death, I feel like it was better because it held onto that single frame of mother looking the player dead in the eyes while her screams could be heard in the background, which I felt just had more of an impact than simply seeing a few seconds of her burning up without even her eyes present (The presence of eyes often makes things feel more alive or intelligent), so in 1.0 it felt like mother KNEW that in that moment, she was screwed with no way out. It just feels satisfying for me as an old fan, given the fact that there's all the timeloop shit, so it felt like GOD finally got what she deserved after torturing Jake and Henry all this time. That hit hard as a fan of the older versions, where GOD was just an enigmatic villain who was presumably involved in all the shit happening in each game. The still image also just felt more uncanny to look at
Those were just my thoughts. It's not a bad game. And I LOVE how the rest of it looks, I really like how they made the tunnels took, definitely way more atmospheric!
If my opinion really discombobulated you that badly, then I think you have a lot of personal problems you should be working on before you start calling me "blinded by old stuff"

@@RedLaundryBasket I wasn't, it felt like the guy started saying I have bad taste simply because I like how the older version portrayed things. Instead of just simply saying he disagreed with me, he went on to act like I can't have an opinion and that I'm a bad fan of the game because I don't instantly like the same thing he likes. I had to explain that word-for-word in my reply to him so he'd understand, and I just pointed out that he seemed a little to eager to accuse me of having bad taste. I'm not getting defensive, I'm explaining why I feel the way I do.
