Mitski is one of those artists that would come to a country like Ireland, which has so few people comparatively, to perform. She probably will only earn enough to pay for the stop, but she's coming all the same. I saw Jessica Lea Mayfield recently (who's actually announced a tour with Mitski in the States), and she's in a similar boat. There was barely anyone at her gig, but it was awesome. I thanked her for being so selfless and devoted. So pumped for Mitski in October.
Funnily enough, I find it's the bigger bands that often don't come to Ireland, at least in my experience. Two of my favourite bands, Circa Survive and Deftones, barely ever play Ireland. It took Deftones ten years to return to Ireland. They came in May 2017 and sold out Vicar Street I think. Great show. The last time they were in Ireland was 2006-2007. Circa Survive always tour, but they never come to Ireland either. I have been a big fan since 2006, and I haven't seen them come here in that time. But I saw Jessica Lea Mayfield in Whelans earlier this year and it was fantastic. There was no more than 50 people there, but she still came. She and Mitski were supposed to tour together in the States, but Mayfield had to withdraw because of her health. That would be an awesome show. A lot of the smaller metal bands I follow from America often come through Ireland as well.

at 23:26 i always thought that there was a flute playing in the background but it turns out to be mitski’s voice.
3 years now, still my top favorite Mitski performance that I always come back to
Thinking about how mutiple people asked me if I was okay because first love late spring is on my repeat
Any other lesbians feel like that song describes comhet?
omg yes
OMG YOURE RIGHT
Francis forever
as a fellow lesbian yes plus i feel like it describes my fear of relationships and pushing ppl away bc of that
me, a sapphic with First Love / Late Spring as the bio of my personal accounts: i am understood *cries coz happy*

You're not funny
10/10 would die for my bby mitski
i literally love her sm. her looks, her personality, how she really loves what shes doing and doesn't do it for fame or money
imagine seeing Mitski live, but you're tripping
got to see her at one of her last shows last year and was gutted when i didn’t get to hear i bet on losing dogs. the venue in my town had zero AC and such bad event planning she cut her set by like 4 songs. still grateful i got to see her.
She just takes all the words out of my mouth
She's so badass & lovely at the same time. I love her
i love her with all my heart
every single song sent chills down my spine. so stunning.
5:36 i like shes singing her heart out and suddenly the guitar wetly farts
this was such an amazing performance in every way....and the crowd is just soooo…
They’re not hyping her up enough for my liking.
God I feel the pain in her eyes when she sings I bet on losing dogs
