Nice to see the full west LRT expansion in full, back when Phase 3 of WEM was done we hoped someday this would come to fruition and it has now. YES! I am that old he-he.
Great video, will be sharing it with all of my friends and family so that they understand the scope of the LRT expansion project. Could you add text in one corner to indicate which street the LRT is running along?
you can see from about the 2:00 mark that running straight down 87th, crossing the river and hooking up with Health Sciences would have been a far superior route...
I don't see why they can't build this as an additional route in the future. Meadowlark ->East on 87th -> Cross the river -> Health Sciences -> Down Whyte Avenue. Both lines could exist at the same time and complement each other. And to give some additional context on why the current route was chosen: Oliver and Jasper Place are some of the most dense neighborhoods in all of Alberta and would greatly benefit from the Valley Line.
@@Droxalyup! Also 156 st is just full of low rise apartments. Not to mention there’s Stoney plain road which has potential to really spruce up now that they’ve demolished some of those derelict buildings and will be completely revamping the street. Being on. A train line definitely has its advantages.
@@Mohankeneh Yup, lots of apartments in that area. I think it's kind of a forgotten area of Edmonton to people who don't live there, but it definitely will greatly benefit from the street car line.
Hey Ric!! We're not all familiar with where the Valley Line LRT is. Can you clue us in please in the title so that we don't waste our time watching your video. Pretty please! That way, you won't get so many thumbs down on your video like I just did.
great video! hope to see more in the future as construction progresses!
Nice to see LRT being expanded westward. There had been talk of expansion in that direction for years
Excellent video

Annoying music
Sorry about that but finding copywrite free music 10 minutes long is a time consuming problem for me.
