I knew this song and the rest of her music before I knew what she did on the X Factor, and honestly while what she did was terrible, this song has helped me out so much over the past several years getting through my personal issues. It's a raw and open song, and the fact that people can't appreciate the music and have to attack the artist really saddens me, because this is really a phenomenal song.

I grew up with her music.It's so funny how people constantly say stuff like "everything shown on tv is acting" and when the acting really happens, lo and behold, they'll throw anyone and anything under the bus and constantly run over it back and forth. Unlike with other "pop stars" who only claim to have significant creative input in the writing of their songs, you cannot deny Natalia's presence when you look at her lyrics. And that's why I and many others hope she doesn't give up on her craft. Wishing her all the best in her band, or even as a songwriter for other singers. Even better if she can return as a solo act, perhaps as an indie critic's darling.

Natalia Kills, Kerli Kiov, and Christina Aguilera’s Bionic era were sacrificed so that Lady Gaga could succeed. Natalia had so much potential, her album Trouble was pop perfection with lyrics that we should hear more often in pop music... but unfortunately she was just overshadowed, and the little attention she got was mostly comparisons to Lady Gaga (and of course, Natalia was deemed the “copycat”)... her NZ X-Factor incident reminded me very much of “Gretchen Wieners... had cracked.” She finally had enough of the unfairness of the music industry and just cracked at the wrong place and the wrong time, took it out on some poor innocent contestant who had nothing to do with anything, and she destroyed her image. Such a shame. I think the only similar artist who’s come since then is Tove Lo, but unfortunately Tove Lo’s mainstream popularity was also pretty short-lived. Her music was too dark and blunt for the mainstream crowd, but she was also too mainstream for some of the underground crowds to take her seriously.

A lot of people in the comments are comparing Natalia’s criticism with Simon Cowell’s. Simon, at worst, tells people that they’re terrible. Natalia absolutely went in and told a kid he was disgusting because “he was trying to copy her husband” who had slicked back hair and a suit. As if Willy Moon invented the look? Her harsh criticism was way over the top and inaccurate. I think she deserved some backlash for this, but I do think she should be given a second chance. Her talent shines bright in this song
I knew this song and the rest of her music before I knew what she did on the X Factor, and honestly while what she did was terrible, this song has helped me out so much over the past several years getting through my personal issues. It's a raw and open song, and the fact that people can't appreciate the music and have to attack the artist really saddens me, because this is really a phenomenal song.

I’m not making excuses for them and their behaviour but if they apologised and it was accepted by the New Zealand’s contestant I think she deserves to come back. Natalia Kills, Kerli Kiov, and Christina Aguilera’s Bionic era were sacrificed so that Lady Gaga could succeed. Natalia had so much potential, her album Trouble was pop perfection with lyrics that we should hear more often in pop music... but unfortunately she was just overshadowed, and the little attention she got was mostly comparisons to Lady Gaga (and of course, Natalia was deemed the “copycat”)... her NZ X-Factor incident reminded me very much of “Gretchen Wieners... had cracked.” She finally had enough of the unfairness of the music industry and just cracked at the wrong place and the wrong time, took it out on some poor innocent contestant who had nothing to do with anything, and she destroyed her image. Such a shame.
I think the only similar artist who’s come since then is Tove Lo, but unfortunately Tove Lo’s mainstream popularity was also pretty short-lived. Her music was too dark and blunt for the mainstream crowd, but she was also too mainstream for some of the underground crowds to take her seriously.

This was my song when I was 17 years old and ‘till now. I was so depressed and suicidal. Whenever I feel sad, I always play this song. But it brings so much pain about my past that I oftentimes cry. Like literally. I wasn’t given enough support emotionally and mentally by anyone. So, I had to go through different struggles growing up and learned how to be more matured. I slowly accepted my depression until it became sadness. Until the time I don’t get so emotional anymore whenever I hear this song.

She is truly a genius when it comes to Songwriting. And her natural, very deep, voice color is just pure magic. I'm honestly so sad she flopped and that savage scandal happened. From the interviews of her one could surely conclude she has that snobbish classy vibe, also maybe she's trying too hard to sound edgy. But i don't know i always felt like underneath that public image she's actually a really cool and smart woman. I mean she writes her shit and surely has that uniqueness in appearance and style and quality sound. I don't think she was just that stupid and vile to act like that ion the x factor. I believe that was some kind of bad scenario which gone terrible. I don't think it was just a spontaneous insults. I think she was trying maybe to copy that "mean kind of judge" like simeone is but ih her case it went terribly wrong and destroyed her career. I'm truly sad about this artist. She was ahead of her time and different from other contemporary pop artists. Only lady gaga was that kind of edgy in early 2010.s.
