I love your comment, “Meatloafy”. Really needed that chuckle this morning. You are right about Epic ! Ray and the band are Epic in my eyes. I love his voice and accent. He’s also a genius lyricist. ✌️
Bought the Face to Face and powerman albums from the remainder bin but it was full priced kronicles that made me a real fan. Ten years later saw them on the low budget tour. Had a great time following their recordings to the end. Faves are Preservation, Something Else, and Arthur. Honorable mention 'How Are You' 'Working Mans Cafe' 'Ducks On The Wall' so many songs of note.
Amazing such a great recording band could produce/play so well live. All those California and other "Wrecking Crew" bands that such great records that were basically having great singers and a great group of recording players who played the music while they sang. Hat's off the Kinks for being so great in the studio and on the stage. Another band that impressed me not long ago, although they came from long ago, was to hear the Hollies live, also Badfinger, etc. Of course, there's Jimmie Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, early Steve Miller, Grateful Dead, etc., etc. I'm sure you have your favs. Would love to hear what yours are.
I can't tell if the 3 dislikes on this song are because the person that made them was very drunk and missed when trying to like it, or if they simply had terrible taste. Needless to say this is a beautiful song in my opinion.
Yes a very good album from one of the under rated bands in history, but they did get air play here in Detroit. However that was then, if this album came out today i'm sure it would be virtualy unheard of
Back in the 60s I was a big stones fan.....then I heard the Kinks.
The Kinks,.....the greatest band of all time!!!!
Oh yes :-)
A 70s epic that never gets too self-indulgent, proggy, or Meatloafy.
Bless you Ray Davies!

To bad they never played this song on the Radio ❤😂🎉
'Sometimes I hate the road, but it's the only life I know.' You know that comes out of Ray's heart.
I was very lucky to grow up in the 60s and the Kinks at their best
When you think that this song probably wouldn't get into many kinks fans top twenty, you realise just how good a band they were.
The Kinks have a top 70 ,...
@@777RockNRollin Agree totally.
ARE
GOD BLESS THE KINKS!
And all their fans.
Thanks Ray, for your appearance on Earth at the same time as my own arrival… I’da hated to miss the show✌️ Thunderous applause 👏👏👏
Brught tears to my eyes
Too many great albums from the Kinks ,.. it's hard to keep track of them all ,...
Beste Band aller Zeiten ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I can't get enough of them!
grateful for the kinks, their music, their collective talents, and ray davies' musical genius!
Great song, and Ray is gorgeous in this video... I'm about to go on the road myself, to England, and will see 9 concerts of the legendary Ray Davies
Need someone to carry your luggage?
Amazing band, led by an amazing musical genius. God Save the Kinks
Thanks Sir Ray for the great music catalogue that got me through the years!

I wish people would stop worrying about dislikes it would be pretty boring if everyone liked everything
I do like it yes
Probably homophobic
Life on the Road is a superb song ! Ray knew what to do - and how ! 😊 I mean, great stuff! And the Kinks was a great band! - jon fisher
Such a great song as always
Lucky enough to see them live!
Must have saw them a dozen times
Must've been an honor
I wish they were on the road I never got to see them live 😢
My all-time favorite Kinks song. Such an amazing tune.
Gracias a los KINKS por tantos momentos de buena música y en especial al gran RAY DAVIES.
Good show. Love this tune so much.
god this little ditty strasight gives me the goodtime chills ...enjoy
Top form, Ray! Thanks for a lifetime of great social commentary...
Thanks!
this song help me become the cool guy I am!!!!
Great Songs. So much talent.
Fooking great!
CLASSY
good job, ray. great song! thanks.
too bad we can't all be so expressive....It's great to be in Ray's orbit
how could it be the Kinks without either Ray or Dave? that was a silly question
I remember the kinks. They still tour without Ray Davies? Would love to see one of their shows and hear some of their old classics.

"Meatloafy" is an excellent adjective.*high five*
Where is Dave Davies?
4:16 the camera barely shows him
Dave is right next to Ray (wearing a dark shirt), so hard to see😊❤️
trying not to get to emotional regarding the passing of great artists, but i'm going to be a wreck if i'm still around when we lose Ray
It's a shame the only song they ever play is Lola, love the daves
Listen to jango radio ,..they play a ton of endless Kinks on there,..
Who is they - I hear a Lot of kinks on satellite radio 📻
Great song and a decent performance. But I'd rather here Dave's licks in place of the horns. Like on the record.
Whilst this probably wouldn´t get into most peoples top 30 kinks songs it still pisses all over 95 percent of the stuff out there.
true that
a band like the Kinks today would never become the Kinks; would be considered too out of the mainstream and odd and unrelatable
You would almost think Ray directed it for the lack of showing Dave very much at all for as quintessential as he is in every KinKs song..............
Nothing without Dave.. Drw
