As a drummer I can tell you that the beats he does in this song and the album are technically impressive. He performs this song flawlessly here. It also helps that the mixing for this performance was done well.

All kinds of synth-like or instrument sounds can be done on guitars and other stringed instruments like basses now. Background singing is done by one of the other two guitar players.

And Hayley is just unique... Her soul is beautiful... and you can tell fame is not the most important thing to her but Paramore as a band.

Honestly, the best live performance I've seen in a LONG time. Everybody killed it. Hayley singing (that shout!), Taylor on the guitar, and by God is it great to have Zac back. After Laughter is probably my favorite album of theirs and if the keep evolving and changing things up like this in their future records; lord only knows how great they can become! Paramore is the best.
