Fantastic trip! Loved it! But a lot of sadness in there, lot of waste too, when you think Ireland has a housing crisis it seems mad all these abandoned houses, but as people say it's not really a housing crisis it a money crisis. That ever widening gap between the haves and have nots. Thanks again! Stay safe out there!
This is deeper than injustices of today, many centuries of oppression, slavery, ethnic cleansing, man made famine and more things I will refrain from saying..our country is the only in the world that’s population never recovered since the great drop due to death, people fleeing, slavery. The cost now to fix these homes is enormous, there is still the influence from the small are still occupied on our lands. A lot of oppression still against Catholics, against speaking Irish and Ireland. I think surely a nation needs their land, freedom, language, heritage back so it can proper heal and really truly move forward, to become whole again. It’s got to be long enough so many hundreds of years. Yes it is surely sad but also we are strong folk. Most would not speak our like this, my great gran and my gran, my mum never spoke of all the painful horrors. Survivors guilt or fear I dunno but I studied and learned bc my soul called me to. Good simple people who don’t make trouble, strong and I thank God for being born, love our ancestors and this lovely lovely land, magical like, God surely holds us close✨🙏🏼❤️

As an Australian with Northern Irish parents, this series is very special to me, and my cat is thoroughly enjoying watching the explore cat 🤘🤩🤘 Ooh when I saw "Orrington House School" I got a little bit excited thinking it said Terrington, my last name, and apparently we were a wee bit famous in Belfast back during the troubles. Wow! I ponder on how my life would be had I been born in Belfast instead of Australia. Thankyou so much 💕

The furniture in last bedroom up stars was beautiful antiques & The perfect country kitchen ❤ that living room is so Grand!!! To bad about the clock.. these old houses are not fit to live in mostly, the people who own them usually build a modern property on the same land, it is cheaper to build than it would be to repair these old buildings.
Hello Sam and Jess.Wonder why there are so many abandoned houses in Ireland .We have a house near Tipperary and there are loads of abandoned farm cottages.You know that bath you were looking at with all those taps we had one like that and it's Victorian.Where do all the people go so weird .Thankyou for showing me.
